the Economic Circus may i said...

March 22, 2009 Sacramento Tent City Reflects Economy's Troubles
Job losses, home foreclosures and a deepening recession are sending scores of newly homeless people into a makeshift camp along the banks of the American River in Sacramento, Calif.

The tent city, spread over an area the size of several football fields, has local officials scrambling over how to handle the area's homeless crisis.

March 13, 2009 The result is a proliferation of tent cities, such as the one in Sacramento. While it is the best-known shantytown in America - thanks mostly to an Oprah Winfrey special on the “new faces of the homeless” last month - it is only one of dozens. California, with its milder weather, has always attracted its fair share of people living on the streets. But the Golden State is being hit hard by the recession. In February it had the highest number of repossession filings - 80,775 - of anywhere in the US, up 51 per cent in a year according to the website RealtyTrac. Auction sale notices almost tripled to 18,831. The relatively smart city of Santa Barbara has given over a car park to people who sleep in cars and vans, and authorities in Fresno are trying to manage several proliferating tent cities, including an encampment where people have made shelters out of scrap wood.

For the city authorities, strapped for cash and making deep cuts to staff and budgets themselves, the homelessness problem is not a priority. But as more people pitch their tents the pressure to do something other than just turn a blind eye is mounting.

recall,

The relatively smart city of Santa Barbara has given over a car park to people who sleep in cars and vans

You ever been to Santa Barbara, my friend? I live there. The "tent city" as it were has been here for about 30 years.

I recall with some amusement while downtown in De La Guerra Plaza in front of City Hall watching a KEYT News crew a few years ago doing a news article for the evening news. They just had to have a "large crowd" of angry homeless peope on camera. Unfortunately there were only 10. No problem. Crowd them together, do a tight two-shot and pan the "crowd". The director even had them chanting on her cue. It looked like a rather large angry group on the 6 O'Clock news that evening. The problem, of course, was that it wasn't news. It was well scripted drama. A propoganda piece of manufactured news.

Those people in the "tent city" live at the Santa Barbara Rescue Mission (SBRM) right around the corner.

China calls for new reserve currency
By Jamil Anderlini in Beijing

China’s central bank on Monday proposed replacing the US dollar as the international reserve currency with a new global system controlled by the International Monetary Fund.

In an essay posted on the People’s Bank of China’s website, Zhou Xiaochuan, the central bank’s governor, said the goal would be to create a reserve currency “that is disconnected from individual nations and is able to remain stable in the long run, thus removing the inherent deficiencies caused by using credit-based national currencies”.

I shall not feel sorry for you, because you were warn of what was coming. Are you laughing now debunker?

OK, using astral time travel what I see is so horrible that I do not want to describe it. Please learn these techniques. The world will not end, but we are in for a time of troubles. Not sure when martial law is declared, but remember what I said about the Alaska volcano - Mount Redoubt.

Hi rain:
There is no nonsense, when food runs out you will see a side of human nature that ain't in no history books. I place the blame for what will happen with the banksters that looted america's wealth.

CEO Kerry KILLinger ran wamu AKA Washinton Mutual, the largest Savings and Loan. He ran it all right - into the ground. This clown act was paid 14.4 million/yr for his services. He was always talking about making cuts and DOWNsizing and OUTsourcing. Well, he was finally cut when the bank became insolvent and was seized by the FDIC.

This should be the poster child for high finance, a man who destroyed the lives of millions with his foreclosures and predatory lending.

Hi Kerr:
OK, this is what my dad told me. Those brave people who fought in WWII and defeated the nazis mostly are dead. However the cowards stayed home and had children - there was a genetic switch. Vietnam war was a different story - people did not want to fight. If you want to know what the future is like take a look at what took place during Katrina.

It is the end of the road for WAGONer.

TO ALL:
I am comparing my predictions with those of Time Monk George Ure. Mostly we are on the same page. They predicted the economic crisis before it happen. I said it would be financial armageddon and apocalypse dow. The Time Monks saw a major crash ahead.

TAKEN FROM http://pimpinturtle.com/2008/10/07/10708-web-bot-update-overview-of-jeff-rense-interview-with-cliff--george-time-monks-of-half-past-human.aspx
Questions relating to previous interview:

* Dimensional holes, previously discussed in coast to coast interview…
o Dimensional holes will open up and swallow some of the powers that be.
+ Powers that be will become unsettled and start walking with groups of bodyguards. Incident where powers that be and group of bodyguards will just disappear. Time Monks estimate this will occur in 2009.

I have not seen this in the future, but the technology to make it happen exists now. Using an HDR or Hyper Dimensional Resonator we could create "dimensional doorways".

* Alien invasion, previously discussed in coast to coast interview…
o Language still building solidly for this to occur. If this has been pre-planned, by the powers that be, it will build up for a while before it manifests around 2011.

I have not seen this. However, some UFO abductees say that they will help take humans to another world when things get bad on earth.

* Election
o A lot of confusion, beyond that of the 2000 presidential election.
o Possible there will be no election.
o It will take a while to work itself out.
o It is harder to read into this because election language is “hot”.
o The archetype for the election is “confusion”.

Nothing to add here. Hillary not elected.

NEW PROJECTIONS:

* Newer release language suggests something about an incident where around 40 people will be shot on American soil.
* The “social contract” will no longer be applicable.
o

Problem with breakdown of “social contract”: As the currency is debased how do we pay police, firemen, prison guards…etc.
* People will become squatters that settle in random houses.
* There is a point in 2009 where there will be “warfare between law enforcement”.

I have seen in the future the gov fall apart, roving gangs, urban strife, complete collapse of social order. Think Katrina.

* A personality in the video production industry will emerge. Videos created by this personality will go viral and catalyze a global revolution against the powers that be. This revolution will begin in 2009. It is not a revolution against America, rather all of the powers that be. All future videos described as “viral” will be compared to this video. Time Monks speculate this personality could be Miss Naomi Wolf. She has already released videos that contain all of the “revolution language”.
* Politicians are going to have people confronting them on streets aggressively (as if they are mixed in with the people).
* The planet is going through serious suffering.

This reminds of of John Titor's farmer general. Times are a changin'.

* The powers that be are facing dire circumstances.
o They will have their plans "thrown out of wack".
o They think of themselves as all-powerful.Their plans will fail.

How true, I believe that John Titor spoke of this as well. They are already planning to declare martial law and militarize the local police.

* Important dynamic about gold.
o The price of gold should have gone up dramatically accept that a lot of the hedge funds are finding they have to unwind profitable gold positions.
o The real powers that be seem to be acquiring gold and hoarding it.

Gold will go up over $2000/oz. I predicted this in 2005 when it was near $400.

* Info coming out of Russia.
o Setting off nuclear material may have an effect in multiple dimensions.
o Distortion fields can become disturbed by a lot of radioactivity.
o Setting off nukes could be destabilizing the whole universe.

This is true nukes are multidimensional. Damage to fabric of space.

Projections for 2009-2010

* Different but epic.
o Keeps going that way for years.
o Over the next couple of years the magnitude of the change will leave people frozen and unable to cope.
+ People will become mentally ill. This will be augmented by poor diet and bad weather. The stressors surrounding people will be horrific.
# If these predictions are correct, there will not be a pharmaceutical industry, work force, etc.
+ This could be a staggering shift.
+ Next year, the level of caring about money will be a fraction of what it is today (unclear whether this is about just America or whole world).
+ The dollar will lose its status as the global reserve currency.
+ People will be more concerned about food and water.

I predicted that looking for food would become a 24/7 job for many people. Dollar destroyed, shortages of food and fuel.

Believe it or not, now Peter Schiff is telling people to stockpile food. This guy is warning of hyper inflation. I believe the time monks also talk of hyperinflation.

I predicted that gas go over $2/gal and oil over $50/b. Now I wish to say that $60 soon and $70 not far away.

Re: China calls for new reserve currency

but remember what I said about the Alaska volcano - Mount Redoubt.

This must be the latest in a long string of cases where the Kid claims to have made some "prediction" that clearly s/he did not! And as with all former predictions, we can expect NO forthcoming evidence to prove what the Kid is referring to. Hence: the Kid said nothing about Mount Redoubt before about 4 weeks ago when it started rumbling. But rest assured the Kid will try to get you to believe s/he said something about this before then. S/he didn't.

I predicted that gas go over $2/gal and oil over $50/b. Now I wish to say that $60 soon and $70 not far away.

Truly laughable. I have already shown your skills in predicting gas prices are shabby. You predicted gas would go over $2/gallon? OOOOOOH!!! What were the specifics of that REACHING prediction? Not even a timeline. And let's not forget, you NEVER even predicted they would COME DOWN BELOW $2/gallon....because when I shamed you with your "won't go over $4/gallon in 2008" BS, you were claiming gas prices would still climb after the election. Yet they were below $2/gallon at the time of the election!

And oh yeah... today the price per barrel of oil was at $49.

Well over 50% of your predictions simply do NOT come true. And your gas price predictions are the worst of the worst.

unless you have giant stock piles of food and fuel, it is highly unlikely you will survive what it coming.

I ask store owners what retail sales are and they tell me that they are losing money every month. Malls are getting so empty you can hear an echo.

Banksters keep getting bailout after bailout while not a penny for the poor. It is so sad that people cannot afford food. I get to watch some big exec getting bonuses, a big corpoRAT getting fat!

To Recall:
I wish that I had a happy nice future to report on. Sadly we must play the cards we are dealt. Perhaps when you learn RV you will find out why the cities are dark and the highways are empty.

To rain:
The volcano did not blow its top out of the blue. It gave warning signs, so with martial law. As for gasoline, I saw it rationed in the future.

OK, today billionaire investor George Soros said the banking system was "basically insolvent".

There are two levels of stupidity - little fool &amp; big fool. A little fool is a person that puts $1000 in the bank and the bank loans out the money for an 18% credit card and they make $180 on your money, but they do not give you a penny of the 180 instead they charge you $2 to use the ATM machine, yes two dollar to get your money. OK so now you take out $100 and you have $898 left. They charge you money to use the money you gave them. That is little fool.

A big fool is like a debunker that believes everything the gov tell 'em - like we have to give billions of dollars to AIG execs or the world will end. I mean how stupid can you be?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wzve3kUGgWM

Instead we could have spent that money fixing our crumbling infrastructure because our bridges are falling down, and the side streets are full of potholes. OK, more than anything we need to re-industrialize because this con game called “globalization” is shutting down our factories and hollowing out our economy. Why does everything have to be made in RED CHINA?

Expect food and fuel to rationed in the future - there will be shortages.

Cities Collapsing throughout the USA

To Recall:
I wish that I had a happy nice future to report on. Sadly we must play the cards we are dealt. Perhaps when you learn RV you will find out why the cities are dark and the highways are empty.

look at this:

quoted:
Cities Collapsing throughout the USA
With enough abandoned lots to fill the city of San Francisco, Motown is 138 square miles divided between expanses of decay and emptiness and tracts of still-functioning communities and commercial areas. Close to six barren acres of an estimated 17,000 have already been turned into 500 "mini- farms," demonstrating the lengths to which planners will go to make land productive.
The city, like the automakers, has to shrink to match what's left, said June Thomas, a professor of urban and regional planning at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

"The issue is how," she said. "There's no vision."
"People are moving out of the city, trying to find work," said David Martin of Wayne State University's Urban Safety Program. Those who stay "can't afford to move out."

"Property abandonment is getting so bad in Flint that some in government are talking about an extreme measure that was once unthinkable -- shutting down portions of the city, officially abandoning them and cutting off police and fire service.
...
[Mayor] Brown said that as more people abandon homes, eating away at the city's tax base and creating more blight, the city might need to examine "shutting down quadrants of the city where we (wouldn't) provide services."
He did not define what that could mean -- bulldozing abandoned areas, simply leaving the vacant homes to rot or some other idea entirely."

"Cul-de-sac neighborhoods once filled with the sound of backyard barbecues and playing children are falling silent. Communities like Elk Grove, Calif., and Windy Ridge, N.C., are slowly turning into ghost towns with overgrown lawns, vacant strip malls and squatters camping in empty homes."

"In its depth and suddenness, the U.S. economic and financial crisis is shockingly reminiscent of moments we have recently seen in emerging markets (and only in emerging markets): South Korea (1997), Malaysia (1998), Russia and Argentina (time and again).
...
But there’s a deeper and more disturbing similarity: elite business interests—financiers, in the case of the U.S.—played a central role in creating the crisis, making ever-larger gambles, with the implicit backing of the government, until the inevitable collapse. More alarming, they are now using their influence to prevent precisely the sorts of reforms that are needed, and fast, to pull the economy out of its nosedive. The government seems helpless, or unwilling, to act against them.

Re: Cities Collapsing throughout the USA

DEARBORN, Mich. - Ford Motor Co. said Wednesday it will try to eliminate up to $10.4 billion of its debt by offering debtholders cash and stock as the troubled automaker continues to restructure amid a severe automotive sales downturn.

The Dearborn-based company and its financial arm are putting up $2.2 billion in cash and about 500 million shares of stock to entice holders of bonds and secured-term debt into the swap. The company said reducing the debt will cut the amount it pays in interest and put it in better position to compete with General Motors Corp. and Chrysler LLC.

“This is all part of a restructuring plan to make the company healthier in the end,” said Ford spokesman Mark Truby.

GM and Chrysler also are trying to swap debt for equity as a requirement of the $17.4 billion in government loans they have received.

WASHINGTON - Orders to U.S. factories for big-ticket manufactured goods and new homes sales both rose unexpectedly in February, but economists said the gains were unlikely to last as the recession persists.

The Commerce Department said Wednesday that orders for durable goods — manufactured products expected to last at least three years — increased 3.4 percent last month, much better than the 2 percent fall economists expected. It was the first advance after a record six straight declines and the strongest one-month gain in 14 months.

over $60 this year 2009. However, that is not the problem. Yesterday I pay $2.29/gallon, but that is still almost half of the $4.39/gallon I pay in Aug 2008. The problem is that we hit peak oil in 2005 so every year production is less. This means the price will soon skyrocket.

He told me back then about the horrible crash that he was seeing. He convinces his girl friend to dump her million dollar house in Coral Gables and they both rented.

I told him back then in 2005 that soon he would be able to buy back his condo for half a mil, never in my wildest nightmares did I see it lose over 90% of its value.

You said "chicken little, the sky is not falling. wake me up when it is..."
If you wait it will be too late.

You said "so, whats the price for ignoring common sense? kid, ive been here over 2 years, and in those 2 years i have seen you say the same things over and over again. you were wrong about everything."
Two years ago you could still sell your house and get something for it. Try selling it now. Two years ago, unemployment was 5% and there were jobs, this year it will go over 10% and there are few jobs out there. In fact, the gov says about ten people for each available job. Two years ago people laughed when I told them GM was going under, now they claim it was obvious. Things are getting worse and we are falling even as we speak. I see a dark city scenario in the future. Actually, things are getting worse than I predicted.

Those people who call me everyday about how they got wiped out in the stock market have only themselves to blame, a house built on greed cannot stand, as for me I just finished building a shelter last week, got new floor put in and painted it. I finished the bathroom the week before last, and now I am showing to future occupants. Most people complain that it is dark and damp, it was not designed for its ethetic value, but to allow a few to survive. Those that say it is too far away are told that it must be a great distance from population centers. Next week my dad will arrive, I plan to show him my pride and joy.

When the Titanic sunk, people fought over the lifeboats. However no one built a life boat out of scraps of wood and old tires. That is what I am doing. History will recall that some got ready for what was coming. You gather food in the summer for the long cold winter that lies ahead.

If you research my posts you will see evidence of a "Dark City Scenario" with emphasis on lack of power, empty highways and a pitch black sky. There may be some evidence that hackers are behind this. Both Red China and Russia are breaking into US power grid computers. The purpose could be an electronic attack.

If we are vulnerable to cyberattack not only could our power grid be smashed, but also our financial systems. The Chinese could do a two pronged attack, first they dump dollars, then they crash the wobbly almost bankrupt banks. There is little we could do, since 99% of product in Walmart say MADE IN CHINA.

This is not a "cramer crisis", but the real deal. Main stream media likes to make fun of cramer.
"Jim Cramer has made a TV career out of being nuts on a business channel, supposedly offering sound investment advice."

What did cramer do? He told people to exit the stock market. Happily many did. The authority figures realize that their plan to pluck the goose is not with out its problems. They are desperately trying to prop up a falling stock market, and keep gold under 1000, and they will fail.

Busting HDRKID\'s Peak Oil BS

Well, it has been awhile since I made HDRKID look foolish...probably the Gerald Celente revelation as to where the Kid got many of his "predictions". But I think it is time to bust another one of the Kid's stories (he calls them RV predictions of the future).

This time the target is: HDRKID insisting we have hit and exceeded "Peak Oil". Here is a little info, with the USGS link at the bottom to back it up, about a massive amount of oil right here within the US borders:

<font color="red"> The U. S. Geological Service issued a report in April ('08) that only scientists and oil men knew was coming, but man was it big. It was a revised report (hadn't been updated since '95) on how much oil was in this area of the western 2/3 of North Dakota; western South Dakota; and extreme eastern Montana

..... check THIS out:

The Bakken is the largest domestic oil discovery since Alaska 's Prudhoe Bay, and has the potential to eliminate all American dependence on foreign oil. The Energy Information Administration (EIA) estimates it at
503 billion barrels.. Even if just 10% of the oil is recoverable... at
$107 a barrel, we're looking at a resource base worth more than $5.3 trillion.

'When I first briefed legislators on this, you could practically see their jaws hit the floor. They had no idea.' says Terry Johnson, the Montana Legislature's financial analyst.

'This sizable find is now the highest-producing onshore oil field found in the past 56 years.' reports, The Pittsburgh Post Gazette. It's a formation known as the Williston Basin, but is more commonly referred to as the 'Bakken.' And it stretches from Northern Montana, through North Dakota and into Canada. For years, U. S. oil exploration has been considered a dead end.

Even the 'Big Oil' companies gave up searching for major oil wells decades ago. However, a recent technological breakthrough has opened up the Bakken's massive reserves.... and we now have access of up to 500 billion barrels. And because this is light, sweet oil, those billions of barrels will cost Americans just $16 PER BARREL!

That's enough crude to fully fuel the American economy for 41 years straight.

2. And if THAT didn't throw you on the floor, then this next one should - because it's from TWO YEARS AGO!

U. S. Oil Discovery- Largest Reserve in the World!
Stansberry Report Online - 4/20/2006

Hidden 1,000 feet beneath the surface of the Rocky Mountains lies the largest untapped oil reserve in the world. It is more than 2 TRILLION barrels. On August 8, 2005 President Bush mandated its extraction. In three and a half years of high oil prices none has been extracted. With this motherload of oil why are we still fighting over off-shore drilling?

They reported this stunning news: We have more oil inside our borders, than all the other proven reserves on earth. Here are the official
estimates:

- 8-times as much oil as Saudi Arabia
- 18-times as much oil as Iraq
- 21-times as much oil as Kuwait
- 22-times as much oil as Iran
- 500-times as much oil as Yemen
- and it's all right here in the Western United States .

HOW can this BE? HOW can we NOT BE extracting this? Because the environmentalists and others have blocked all efforts to help America become independent of foreign oil! Again, we are letting a small group of people dictate our lives and our economy....WHY?

James Bartis, lead researcher with the study says we've got more oil in this very compact area than the entire Middle East -more than 2 TRILLION barrels untapped. That's more than all the proven oil reserves of crude oil in the world today, reports The Denver Post.

Don't think 'OPEC' will drop its price - even with this find? Think again! It's all about the competitive marketplace, - it has to. Think OPEC just might be funding the environmentalists ???[/COLOR]

And to validate the truth of this oil field, just check this out:

http://www.usgs.gov/newsroom/article.asp?ID=1911

Sorry, Kid... you are busted yet again. I realize the Kid will never face this, admit it, or even acknowledge it. But everyone else here should get another chuckle out of yet another of the Kid's "predictions" being shown to be totally bogus.
