Re:John Titor\'s Prediction was: Obama named

To Kanigo:
My main concern is how Prez Palin would lead the nation. I have some worry that a former member of the Alaskan Independence Party might not be suited for this role. Call me crazy if you wish, but russia has its eyes on resource rich alaska and the high arctic. Palin wanted her state to leave the US. BTW, what happened to those photos that conservatives had of Hillary burning flags in her youth? /ttiforum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

To Pam:
It is not Palin's gender that is the problem, it is her unamerican past. She is Alaskan. It would be like making an atheist the head of the Catholic church, or making debunkers that do not believe in time travel the leaders of TTI, ooops! /ttiforum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

To Darby:
OK so the banks are failing.
http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2008/09/06/government-to-wipe-out-fannie-freddie-shareholders-by/

I told you that back in 2005 before the real estate market imploded. I told you about GM going under in 2005 before the record loss of 39 billion in 2007.

And now I repeat the John Titor was right about russia attacking america in 2015. RV it.

Well the way I see it McCain saw that people liked the idea of a woman being president and that
he thought if he picked a woman as vice president that he could identify with all the "soccer"
moms out there to vote for him. Maybe he thought he could presuade over a few of Obama voters.
He only had met her once perhaps it was the only woman he could think of.

Hey Kid,

I have an idea why don't you remote view the LHC go forward to see the first collision
and let us know what you see in detail.

Re:John Titor\'s Prediction was: Obama named

Hi Recall:
Believe it or not, I was in Geneva last year and wanted to see the LHC, sadly did not have enough time even though I was only a few miles away. I will tell you that the lake is picture postcard perfect. /ttiforum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hi Kanigo:
The interesting thing is how men like Sarah Palin, and they did not like Hillary. I believe in Alaska she got like 80% of the vote. On most timelines similar to our own McCain picked Mitt Romney and Obama picked Hillary Clinton. Also, Obama has a ten point lead.

Hi Pam:
Will do that. Please remember that although Obama is spending 10-1 over McCain, It is the old man who is ahead.

Taken FROM http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/

"John McCain is riding high after an extremely successful Republican Convention,” said CNN Senior Political Researcher Alan Silverleib. “For the first time all year, McCain is ahead of Obama in the Poll of Polls."

Please remember that on most timelines I saw Hillary win, but on none did I see McCain win. I did hear from one lady who saw McCain win and she told me that everything was fine on that line. /ttiforum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Kanigo,

That will be good for a yuk-yuk.

Since The Kid's last prognostications about selling the house, buying gold, the collapse of the dollar and peak oil what's happened?

Gold has lost 21% since April, the low end to medium value housing market has dropped from 16 month inventories 1 year ago to 6 month inventories last week, the Euro has lost 14% against the dollar and the price of crude has dropped ~25% during the past month.

Sorry that I can't support the doom and gloom.

Its not like he doesn't have enough content to steal from Darby...

The internet is all abuzz as doom central.(I actually am looking for him to post the content so we can objectively view the source). Any thing he says we will know where he is getting it from.

Not to say that I do not believe in you HDR.....

Re:John Titor\'s Prediction was: Obama named

Hi Kanigo:

Yesterday I paid $4.19/gallon for gasoline, versus last week it was at $3.56 and most debunkers said it would soon be under $3/gal for gas. What a difference a week makes. We are running out of oil and soon we will see shortages and it will be rationed.

The government can blame the hurricane. This is what they did in 2005 with Katrina. Still, the truth is that we consume oil at a faster rate than we find it. Many of the oil wells have are old. They are now having to pump water into the wells to get the last drops of oil out. This is the end stage scenario.

My prediction is that while prices may drop in the short term, long term we will see 5-7 as cheap. The big problem is not the price, but that I have gone into the future and seen shortages of food & fuel.

Right now people grumble about inflation, but most still have jobs and there is food in the grocery store. Expect in the near future things to get real bad and society to breakdown. The global recession to turn into a deep depression. Use the 1930's depression to get an idea of where things are going.

In 2005 I told people to sell their real estate and buy gold. Since then real estate prices are still falling. Gold should soon go over 1000 and I predict it will hit 2000, but since the dollar is losing value, you are not making money, but rather retaining value.

Let me give you a clue. With a silver quarter in 1964 I could buy a gallon of gasoline. Now that quarter is worth maybe three dollars, not enough to buy what I could in 1964, but at least I held on to some value. In 1964 there was a house in Florida that sold for $6,000 (new) and it sold in 2005 for almost $550,000 close to one hundred times as much.

Your money is losing value. Well, even now in 2008, a realtor says she could sell for $345,000 and gold and silver did not go up that much. The thing is that in times of crisis which we will soon have, gold goes up.

Hi Darby:
I told you that a friend had warned me that in a gated community where the cheapest houses are five mil there were overgrown lawns and a deathly quiet with over 90% of the megamansions abandoned and the place looks like a ghost town.

Why are the rich leaving and where are they going?

Back when I told people to get their money out of the bank and buy gold you laughed at me. Now we see that Lehman bros lost 95% of its value this year. Bear Stern was a wake up call. Other banks like Wamu and Wachovia will follow. The fed does not have enough money to bail them all out.

Because I had requested this all be before January veiwings HDR,

I just want to make sure that these viewings that you offer are within this time frame.

Would that be the case? with this new bit of information you offer?

Re:John Titor\'s Prediction was: Obama named

Yesterday I paid $4.19/gallon for gasoline, versus last week it was at $3.56 and most debunkers said it would soon be under $3/gal for gas. What a difference a week makes.

Yep. It was only a matter of TIME before ole waffle boy flip-flopped back to this. You see, in the run-up to his (failed) prediction that gas would stay below $4 in 2008, Da Kid would usually quote spot prices, just like he is doing here. It was only through my continual hammering on him (and his getting nervous that his prediction would fail, which it ultimately did) that he then switched his tactic to the average US national price of a gallon of regular grade. Because, you see, flipping to that (he thought) would give his prediction a chance of coming true... because as we all know, the average US national price of a gallon of regular ALWAYS remains lower than any single high-priced area's spot price (that is why it is an AVERAGE!). So that tactic of Da Kid was revealed for all to see. But at least I was able to corner him on EXACTLY what form of the gas price he was using for his prediction. Once I did that is was a simple analytical task for me to predict the approximate time and price that the US national average for regular would hit its summer driving season peak. Knowing as I did that this annual peak occurs in the May-June timeframe, I just thought it would be cute to tack-on to that prediction the tie-in to the resolution of the DEM nominee. Little did I know (or did I????) that the two events would be virtually on the exact same day! :D

Damn.... I am just so f-bombing good. (That is me making mockery of HDRKID's narcissitic tone).

But now that his prophecy failed, he is still trying to milk the gas price prediction to get some mileage out of it. I find it terribly sad, myself. But we see he again switches his tactics back to spot price instead of average price ("I paid such and such for a gallon of gas.") The reason should be obvious, because his rhetoric and predictions are no longer trying to predict that gas will be BELOW a given price...but rather that it is "going up again." Hence the logical need for him to (desperately) switch back to a spot price metric.

And as always with Da Kid.... absolutely NO indication of timeframe....at all. So just to be an overt, in-your-face-jerk to HDRKID (same way he treats his "debunkers"), let me point out:

1) His prediction of Hillary as Nominee (and President) was 100% wrong.
2) His prediction of gas staying below $4/gallon for 2008 was 100% wrong.

And for review, I will again repost the chart for the average US national price of a gallon of regular gas:

mogas_chart.gif

This shows the peak which was over $4/gallon and it also shows the downward (post summer) trend where we see the average is around $3.65. It may spike a tad this coming week due to the hurricane market jitters. But rest assured it will continue heading down to a new local minima in the November timeframe.... just as it shows it did in the last two years on this chart.

My "RV" method is STILL better than HDRKID's. He will not admit it, but I do not need him to. The data supports my claim. And let's not forget we are approaching the end of SEP timeframe for Darby's prediction for the cost of a barrell of oil. I am confident that (specific) prediction will be quantitatively better than any HDRKID prediction related to gas or oil prices! /ttiforum/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Kid,

Why are the rich leaving and where are they going?

Gads, you ignorant dolt! They're going to "Swiss", of course. Isn't that what you recommended? Moving into the solid gold, multi-story, single family residences that you described?

Re: Does Time Run Backward in Other Universes? [re: hdrkid]

Yes, there is a concept known as Peak Oil. We just saw it. The crude market peaked at ~$140 a barrel. By the end of September the price is going to hover around $117/barrel. By Thanksgiving the price is going to hover between $95-$100/barrel.

Well, I was wrong. My July 16th prediction was a month off re. the $117 price. It came in August instead of September. Though we just hit the $95-$100 price in mid-September instead of mid-November, it will climb for a short run because of Ike. I'll stick with the November call for $95-$100/brl. And if the Ike related run up occurs I could still be correct about the $117/brl hover price by the end of this month.

Re:John Titor\'s Prediction was: Obama named

Hi Kanigo:

TAKEN FROM CNN
"We could see gas go up to $6 in certain states," said Kerr. "I think the baseline will be more like $4.50, maybe even $5."

The ExxonMobil (XOM, Fortune 500) refinery in Baytown, Texas, with a daily capacity of 567,000 barrels, is the largest refinery in North America. And the eye of the hurricane passed right over it.

http://money.cnn.com/2008/09/13/news/economy/ike_effect/index.htm

I have boxes of canned goods, a 270 gallon fuel tank ready to go, and a garden that supplies me with fresh produce.

Back when I told people to get a scooter I got laughter from Darby. My 150mpg scooter is what I plan to use when gasoline is rationed. John Titor did say "Get a Bicycle!". /ttiforum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hi rain:
Your name fortells our future, a lot of rain and dark clouds ahead. You point to a few prediction I get wrong, well I cannot guarantee 100% accuracy, however what I see tends to come true. For example, back in 2001 I had an argument another person over what computers would be like in 2009. That person told me said that in 2009 we would not use the mouse and the keyboard, my opponent said that people would use voice input to type and that both the keyboard and mouse would disappear.

I told him it would make the office noisy with everybody talking, but that although voice input would be available few would use it.

Well, I am willing to bet that come 2009 most letters will be "typed" into a computer using a keyboard. Seeing the future is not that hard. I did predict that terabyte drives would come out in 2007 and be common by 2009. Also that multicore computers would be common.

I said that people would need more memory and disk space to create videos for the web. Back then he laughed and said "So everybody will have a $1000/mo T-1 line?"

Debunkers cannot see the future. I pay $10/mo for an HD capable DSL line that can handle up to 16 megabytes/sec. A terabyte drive that sold for $350 in 2007 now sells for $199. I just bought a quadcore computer with 5 gigs of memory for $499.

In the future there will be shortages of food & fuel, so unless you want to slowly starve to death I would stop giggling and start gathering supplies.

Hi Darby:
Today I was supposed to meet with a few of my neighbors who are building shelters, but rather than socialize I am working on getting my shelter up to snuff. Things are getting worse. A girl from Louisiana told me that where she lives gas is over $6/gal. A friend of mine owns a fuel company and I plan to buy 1000 gallons before things get bad. He suggested that I fill up my 270 gallon tank, but I fear that may not be enough. I purchased a 1000 gallon tank.

The problem is that gasoline get stale so I have to add fuel stabilizer. This adds about ten cents to each gallon. Back in Jan 2007 when gasoline was $1.87/gallon I got about 800 gallons of fuel and I am now down to only 50 gallons. I was hoping the hurricane would not hit and I could buy the gas at $3/gal. Doing Astral Time Travel I saw martial law declared in the future and food riots.

Re:John Titor\'s Prediction was: Obama named

Kid,

What are you going to do with 1270 gallons of gasoline following the nuclear war that you're predicting? It's in a metal tank and unless you harden and bury it to survive the nuclear war you're screwed. If you don't bury it and it somehow survives you've painted a large target on your shelter..."Free Gasoline for the baddest hombre in the valley". You saw food riots and martial law. There's going to be a lot of folks wanting to divest you of your now well advertised goods. At a minimum in a martial law situation you might expect it to be confiscated. You're prepared to be a heartbreaker and life taker defending your strategic asset? Maybe a hungry neighbor who isn't of a mind to share your assets with you...a neighbor with whom you've discussed your plans?

BTW: You have filed for a building permit to build the shelter and install a 1200+ gal gas storage facillity with the County Planning Commission and an EIR the County Environmental Protection Agency, yes? If so, how long ago did you do that?

Re:John Titor\'s Prediction was: Obama named

Does anyone else see a major disconnect in the above statements from our time traveling HDRKid?

Merrill Lynch Pierce & Fenner is gone! Lehman is bankrupt. I have been banging on the drum of bankrupt banks for years now. This recession is just getting started boyz!

Caution, falling STOCKS!

To Darby:
That hurricane help to accelerate a process that is slow and steady. We are running out of oil. Now we lost 25% of our refining capacity. Well, not just of gasoline, but diesel fuel, jet fuel, etc...

http://thetimetravellers.wordpress.com/2008/02/16/the-1979-oil-crisis/

I would expect that eventually these refineries will be rebuilt, but in the mean time it might be a good idea to have a scooter to get around.
