Pamela,
Much information about those worldlines is kept confidential so I don't know much about them. Anything is certianly possible. We really don't know what UFOs are. I think they are time travelers from other worldlines. In regards to aliens we do more deliberate transmitting than what you do here and we know that most main sequence stars have planets around them.
There are two main theories of time travel. 'Brute Force' which is how I got here and envolves gravity manipulation. Yes, I do see two small (about 2 meter each) singularities (or Black Holes) then everything fades to black. The other is 'Passive Force' which involves out of body experience. The problem with passive force is it doesn't feel as real and you can not bring items back with you. Most say they feel like an observer rather than a participant. I don't know much about it. The major differences between the C204 and C206 are the number of clocks and the amount of processing memory. The programming and processing in the C206 also has the ability to set you in a worldline with lower divergence than the C204 can.
The first time I time traveled was with an instructor there were three of us and the instructor. I remember that was an increasing hum while the unit was powering up. I was looking a head of me from the window and saw two black dots at each side quickly growing larger and moving toward the center. On the outside of the black area the earth looked smeared. When the two singularities looked as if they were going to touch everything faded black the hum lessened and when you would speak you sounded different. It is hard to explain a sort of brief speed up and slow down which didn't quite go with the lips. Same with movements. The instructor grabed my knee, I felt it, but didn't see it until about a second later. I was scared. I think eveyone is. You have this weird disconected feeling where you don't feel like you are a part of anything. I can see why they say not to have a substantial meal before you go. I had another trip with just me and an instructor and them my trip here. I'm not sure if I would want to do it again after I get back.
There are several women who have taken a time travel trip. They tend to be much more serious than curious during a mission. I think men tend to get more lonely and emotionally sensitive during a trip. I know one of the reasons I wanted to talk was that I was a tad lonely.
No, there wasn't a woman president in 2008. However, there have been women presidents in the countries that used to be the United States. We have a woman as president in Appalachia. After 2008 the presidents do tend to be much more compassionate, understanding, and truthful. Power is limited to only that of executing laws passed by the legislature, they don't have the power to do anything they want or follow laws they don't like.
Romantic interludes is a potential problem during trips. One of the tenents before taking a trip is to do no harm to a worldline. I'm not aware of anyone having children with or marrying someone from another worldline. I would guess that doing such a thing would be seen as doing harm to a worldline. Of course there is bound to be an accident at some point and people have needs, but I was told when I have such needs to just do it to myself. Most of those in the military are single and most of those both military and civilian who take a time travel mission are single. It isn't unusual for someone to be single their entire lives. I would say that there were emotional problems with the Early Travelers since when they would return they could tell the difference in worldlines. With advancement in equipment you return to a worldline that is imperceptable to yours and people generally think they have made it back to the same wordline. People's manerisms are the same and memories of you, and feelings are the same. The only changes, if they could be measured, are birds flying a few seconds before or after they would have, a bee landing on a different flower, a butterfly flying slightly higher. Generally things you wouldn't be looking for or aware of.
Although there is no civil war here doesn't mean it will occur. I sometimes try to rationalize the events here from my experience in my worldline. What got the war really going in my worldline was a President that felt he had absolute power to do anything he wanted, laws passed by the legislature didn't apply to him, and when impeached and removed from office he refused to leave. Not to mention truth telling seemed to be a foreign concept for him and his administration, and the arrest of innocent people and secret detention camps also played a roll. I'm not sure if all of this has heppened in this worldline, but I have seen a few things happen which look frightening from my viewpoint.
I believe there was such an experiment as the one you speak of. I think what you are saying is that I or someone other would take a message that you gave me to give to your future self in my worldline. This can be done, and others have done it. As long as it does not contain something that would cause harm to the individual, seriously upset them, or severly alter worldlines there isn't a problem in such interaction. The only problem I can see is if the person from this worldline sends a message and the person has passed away in the future. There are libraries devoted to books, letters, items, etc... brought from other worldlines. When I return I will do some research on the subject and if I know someone going to a worldline near to this one and if I'm alowed I will send a computer disk with a letter telling you what I found.
This is the only worldline I have been in where I have had extensive contact with the individuals in it. My feeling is that generally people mean well, but there is a great mass of truly ruthless mean spirited people here. There is far too much consumption of food and material items, lazyness, selfishness, and unwillingness to educate themselves about the world around them. I'm not saying this is true of everyone. There are several good ears of corn in there, but it gets drowned out.
Human life or any live is important and has value no matter the worldline. There is much compassion for life and when I see tragic death on this worldline I feel sadness just like anyone else.
You are the only person to ask me if I had questions. I do, probably as many as you have of me, but some that have been bothering me are:
Why do people drive every where when their destination is within walking distance? In my worldline we think nothing of walking or bike riding to reach a place.
Why do people not go outside and do things like talk to neighbors instead of sitting around watching television? We do have television, but not what you have. In every city there is a channel of local weather reports, another for local news, and a 3rd is public access. Internet access is also provided through the signals for those who don't need or want a full highspeed access (actually it is still fast, but free). We spend about 90 minutes a day watching television and perhaps 30 minutes on-line.
Why is there a need to have all these useless appliances and then not even cook at home? Isn't a cook stove/oven, microwave, and refridgerator enough? Grinding, chopping, mixing, etc... is much better than sitting around.
Why is there so much crime here? We would never dream of locking our doors, everyone has basic necessities. If you really want something it is much more rewarding to earn it yourself than steal from someone and cause them hardship.
Why are there so many fossil fuels being used when the technology to live without them exists? Power in my worldline is created locally using wind, water, and/or solar. Some on farms will burn wood for heat, but any tree cut, even if it is dead has to be replaced. We do mine underground for some things such as gold, diamonds, and silicon that are used in technology and light industry, but the tailings are retunred to the mine and we would never dream of surface mining.
Those are probably some tough questions without easy answers so I can understand if they can not be answered.
