A few questions for you:
1.What is your expected length of time here on the website that we can ask you questions?
2.On the manual it states there are several functions that are only for military personel
what are those functions and why are they disabled for your trip?
3.During abortion procedures what if the worldline you arrive on does not have the same physical address or URL can you still find them?
4. It is stated that emergency control started at this address in 1998 so it is reasonable to assume
that if this is a close worldine they exist right now at that address. (why is everything 1998?)
so it is possible for them to monitor your online activity now. Do they not care that you share online tidbits of your mission even posting pictures and stuff? How do they feel about this?
Do you have any danger to worry about by doing so? Are they able to send people to help you in emergency situations? That also means this organization was in existance when John was here.

I am not sure I understand your question. We plant genetically pure beans, not those which have been genetically engineered. There are probably some naturally occuring hybrids in the mix, but those of course are not due to human intervention. There are actually some naturally occuring corn not far from here that I have been watching. Most of the corn I see here has been altered.

I am not sure I understand your question. We plant genetically pure beans, not those which have been genetically engineered. There are probably some naturally occuring hybrids in the mix, but those of course are not due to human intervention. There are actually some naturally occuring corn not far from here that I have been watching. Most of the corn I see here has been altered.

I arrived here on May 12th of this year so that I could retrieve bulbs from some of the short lived perennials. I will be here until the first snow, about two or three weeks. As things are winding down and I am spending more time catologing than collecting I felt I could use some of my remaining time here for cultural exchange.
I don't know all of the functions which have been locked out for my trip. Previously all missions were with military personnel. We now have civilian trips which usually involve colleges and universities. This is the type of mission I am on. In the near future civilian trips purely for pleasure will begin. These trips will have some limitations as to where one can go. The unit I am using was altered for civilian use. There are newer units that don't have the military sets at all.
Yes, your thinking is correct. It is assumed that one will be within 1 to 2% divergence during the entire trip and that the physical address and/or URL will be there for worldlines within that level of divergence. The physical address is for trips/missions into the future, after 2034 when the facility was built. When a mission into the past has taken place one should return instantly or within a few seconds. If one hasn't returned within 10 seconds a technician searches the URL for a message. There was much research in finding a suitable internet server to place emergency messages. One had to be found that survived, war, natural disaster, shut down, etc... A few were found in 1998. Hence the reason for 1998. Even civilians have to go through some training and one of those was actually an emergency scenario.So basically I can send a message into the future via the internet where the message would be stored for decades, but one can't be sent from the future.

What do you mean by it has some limits?
Do you mean like they can only go to remote or deserted islands or something?
Does someone go with them to make sure they don't alter the timeline drastically?

Excellent questions. Titor may well be known it is probably that he is just one of many time travelers. Sort of like the "Founding Fathers" of the United States where people generally know of them but don't know exactly who they are or all their names without research. We use the term "Early Travelers" to indicate one of the hundreds of people who time traveled in the 30's. John Titor could have easily been Sean Walsh or Jason Bexley (a couple of early travelers that I know about because we live in the same city). The people of 2006 in another worldline could be talking about Sean Walsh and have never heard of John Titor. I could be the one that actually takes back the information about Titor from this worldline which might not have been known.
Yes, trips like vacations or holidays. Sorry I am so used to using the term 'pleasure trip.' Currently my government has set a limit for citizens taking a time holiday. You either take a group trip or a family trip. The worldline visited has to be around 25% divergent which would typically be a worldline with a breatheable atmosphere and non-intelligent life. There is some concern for messing up worldlines and this is to prevent groups of people from inadvertantly harming one. The reason why I said "non-intelligent" life is because in some divergence "zones," namely between 8-15% the intelligent life isn't always human. For instance there have been stories of worldlines where the Neandertals evolved and the Early Homos died out, or where another species became bipedal and intelligent.
What is recorded is the trip into a worldline so that your return trip will almost exactly follow the same path. "0" divergence is still thought to be impossible. My unit should return me with 0.009% divergence or better. Though not exactly "0" it is so small that I wouldn't notice any difference. I like to think of it as a head full of hair and the difference between a divergence so low is one hair. I could reprogram and go to another time and worldline if I wished. What the unit does on my return trip is return to the "point of entry" that I cam here (May 12th, 2006 19:15.10 UTC) to the closest mili-second then instantly move foward following the line back from my trip. This is how to get back to my worldline with the smallest possible diversion. If I made several trips it adds to the length of the trip as you have to move back and forth from point to point until you reach your original "point of entry." There is only so much air and compressed air with you for a trip and you also run the risk of getting "lost" by making multiple trips.

I don't really like making "predictions" because what has happened in my worldline occured and what happened there may not happen here. I think many people ignore that point and roast the messenger when something that happened in one worldline doesn't happen in the other.
Judging by what I see here on this worldline the civil war could escalate to a weapons war no matter who wins the upcomming election. No matter which group wins the election one group is going to be angry and may be angry enough to use weapons. I haven't decidied if I am going to stay to watch the result, leave before the election, or a few hours after.
