I heard from this forum i believe it was unsoved-miysteries.com that since our timeline was 2% off from titors original timeline then the 2005 prediction might be off by a few months?????? <-- desperation or do these people have a point? ~_~

IMO, desperation and for a very good reason. The original Titor writings corrected its nebulous year for the US civil war. Titor made it clear that he meant 2004 when the civil war would erupt. However, those of us who are "good sports" about such things have been willing to defer until 2005 JUST IN CASE HE REALLY DIDN'T MEAN 2004!

Titor made it clear he meant it would happen in 2004. The fact that it has not yet happened in 2005 simply means that he is WELL beyond the 2% differential window!

Are We Ready To Party?

Here it is Friday, December 30th, 2005. I'm having fun here in HB, CA. No Titor in sight.

Face it, there is no sign of civil war in the US. And it will only be further reinforced once the Winter Olympics begin.

I've just made up a bunch of Mad Cow Burgers for the soiree tonight. But it's raining cats and dogs, so I will have to move the grill under the awning in the back yard. Might be tough for people to get here on their bikes, too.

In any event, tonight we lay to rest the myth of John Titor. He is clearly already a hoax in most reasonable people's minds. Tonight we commit him to history as a hoax, and February 10th we will enshrine him as the best wanna-be time traveler we've seen.

RIP John Titor... you've taken us on an entertaining journey, if nothing else.

As the last minutes of the John Titor countdown clock are ticking away, I'd like to say that if nothing else, the story of John Titor was rather intresting aswell as exciting. Props to the author!
It would make a great movie imo, if I ever become a movie director, I'd make a movie of Titors little adventure ... or maybe a TV show!

You've caught on to what Titor was all about. We know that its no coincidence that the attorney/business manager for the John Titor Foundation works in the entertainment industry and has been Executive Producer on at least one feature motion pitcure.

RMT I had a great time ringing in the new year with you in the meta-verse, the place where I first heard about Titor. It was the perfect setting to celebrate the end of the story. The jet we were flying in landed at another airport and I bought a Canadian search and rescue copter and flew around wishing other residents a happy new year.

I'm going to leave the building out for friends of TTI to have a place to visit and relax if they ever have time to play around in the meta-verse. There's a nice Quicktime version of Bill & Teds to watch and a bowling alley that works sometimes ;-)

ps, I'm not too sure it would make a good movie but if you have an idea how to make it interesting you can make very low budget feature length animated films in the meta-verse.

For some reason there is no audio in Bill n Teds so it'll be at least another day before I can fix that /ttiforum/images/graemlins/tongue.gif I forgot to take pictures on new years but here is what it looks like today. I bought a pre-built house called "The Montauk" and customized it a bit.

Thanks Newbie for introducing me to secondlife. It was a good time, and you've certainly got a lot of nice toys there in meta-Huntington Beach, meta-CA!

Had a nice time over here in the real HB, CA. No one from TTI showed up but I had several friends who I had to explain the whole John Titor Experiment to. They got a good kick out of it, especially the Mad Cow Burgers! /ttiforum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Creedo: I don't understand what you are getting at. Razimus is certainly welcome to join us as we party the end of the John Titor myth!

I hope y'all had a good New Years. I definitely toasted to the end of the Titor saga.

In the upocoming Olympics in Torino, I look forward to watching the USA compile about 32 medals (11 gold, 11 silver, 10 bronze - my prediction) leaving them with first place in the overall medal count. Anyone else want to predict to see who gets the closest? Then, the person that is the closest can say that he/she is much better at predicting the future than Titor. Ha ha.

no one wants to make any predictions (or guess) ?? It doesn't have to be limited to just the USA. Other people from other countries can participate!
 
Time to plan the 2nd Annual Titor Was BS Party!

Now that Halloween is over, and we are beginning to set our sites on Thanksgiving and the "end of the year holiday season" (have to be PC, ya know), I figured it was time to resurrect this thread.

I do plan to be at home again this New Year Day, and so the 2nd Annual Titor Was BS party will be in existence for those who want to celebrate the BS. I haven't been on SecondLife since last year's party, but perhaps we can set up a place in cyberspace where folks can come and have fun.

January 1st, 2007. Mark your social calendars!

By the way that thing you posted long ago on John's faxes to art bell.
I found out it was altered. I actually got to listen to the real fax
when I was a short-term member of coast to coast. I listened to the old
archive and found the one you posted was altered. Especially in the area
of "disappearing buildings."
Just thought you would be interested in knowing that.

That pretty much sums up the whole thing from a scientific point of view, now doesn't it? The fallacy, of course, is that it is someone's job to prove he was not telling the truth. IOW, to prove a negative. This is the crux of why "bad science" can lead uneducated (or undereducated) people to believe anything. In fact, I will go so far as to "predict" that no one will EVER prove he was not telling the truth... for the simple fact that his story was unfalsifiable.

Let the BS party begin!

You make me feel like I inadvertantly got transported into a parallel universe. Or maybe you are just deliberately trying to make a false prediction. There must be some motive behind your statement. Care to explain?
