BTW: I've changed my mind about his having a paid account on The Cloak. The free account only allows you to stay logged in for a short period of time. So he's writing his posts on MS Word (which explains the short margins) and dropping them into the post form before he gets logged off.

He did have to supply an email address to register. I've never used Geocities but I assume that they give you an email account when you open a website.
On Anomalies we have a filter for new accounts that causes new accounts to be sent to the "Review" que if certain email service providers are used, i.e. Hotmail-type "free" accounts that are not traceable if the necessity arises for the SysAdmins.
I don't believe that TTI has chosen to limit email addresses to the extent that we have on Anomalies. It's a decision based on what the SysAdmin wants and it isn't a reflection on their common sense - it's just a matter of choice.

His email is [email protected] , it's a Google account. He just replied to an email I sent him days ago, finally. I basically asked him to elaborate on his mathematical formulations he has been posting on this forum, all he responded with was a simple "yes". I would post the email message, but I already deleted it...I'm used to getting so much spam I have a quick delete trigger. I think the current email address just adds to the case against him. Of course he didn't have much of a case to begin with. :D

This is a much more accurate representation of what is actually happening. The-Cloak.com (as it is known in your time, to me its just an IP address of a wireless proxy) is a Proxy. What is a Proxy, a proxy is able to take information from any website on the internet, re-route it and download it. As if going through a third party. A Proxy can then take commands "Posted" to it, thus sending that information to a particular website as if I was on the other end clicking with my mouse. You have to understand, what I can send through the bridge is only information. Running here is an emulator that takes all of the tcp/ip info and builds an "clone" for your web-browsers such as Internet Explorer. Information is then transmitted from here, converted into data (from mouse clicks, delays, xy coordinates, http post information, etc) and then sent through the bridge. The next second the results are read. The most difficult thing of communicating in the past with all of you has been the time delay "Adjustment" I built into the software.
This is one of 3 possible proxies we can use, however the other two were very unreliable at the time, the time dilation from one of the proxies we attempted to use in the UK was over 3 days, and has still not fully been explained.

I did on one occasion submit all 6 winning numbers to the forums here at TTI for Powerball, still a very popular Lottery game in the States.
What happened next could only be described as wildfire. The information had spread beyond the board and went nationwide within hours, although posted only 3 hours before the drawing I believe over 100,000 people purchased tickets with those numbers. There was a good movie pertaining to this and I can attest to the accuracy of it now. A Message encoded with our cryptex cypher and sent back before our original post fixed the problem easily enough.

Ask all of the questions about Time Travel you would like, questions about Time Travel do not affect the future to any meaningful degree that I have been able to ascertain.
As I have said, all questions (if I do not already know how divergent they could be), must be put through the paces with the caus-sim. Whats in it for you? How about Knowledge of your immediate futures. 2005-2006 are Interesting years and no doubt there will be many questions. I ask that you be patient, be succinct, and ask me what you want to know. Unfortunately, that's not how it would play out. If the Lottery Board received information that 100,000 winning tickets were submitted for a Powerball game they would immediately suspect fraud (Really?!!) and suspend the game. There would be no winners.
But if they for some reason didn't suspect fraud (we assume that they are idiots in this case
) and let it go - then 100,000 people would simply split the jackpot.
Lotto numbers is a pretty weak example coming from a society advanced enough to have some form of time travel.

I agree.... I know what movie this guy is talkin about, its some Jim Carrey movie where he becomes God. In it thousands of people win but they only win like 18 dollars each.

If someone said "I am a time traveler and here are the lotto numbers" you aren't increasing your chance of winning at all.
We assume in the problem that you don't know whether or not the time traveler really is what he says that he is. So you go to the probability that he is a real time traveler who actually knows the winning set of numbers. That probability is much smaller than the probability of winning the lotto by taking a random generated set of lotto numbers..
So - the number that he gave has no better chance of being the winning number than any other random set of lotto numbers from your POV. Your bet isn't on the numbers - your bet is on the probability that he is a time traveler.
After the numbers are drawn you still don't know for sure that you got a winning number that was known in advance by the TT or whether it was a random number that happened to be the winner.
And based on his two claims A) Powerball is still very popular and B) We know how to send winning numbers into the past you should conclude that "A" is not true. The game is based on the confidence of the players that they all have an equal chance of winning. If "B" is true they can be cheated. Zesh doesn't need to send the numbers 19 years into the past. He can send them 1 day into the past to a cohort.
Now he might respond that all of this TT stuff is a big secret, therefore the Powerball players have no clue that they can be cheated. But Zesh isn't a post-doc, a PHD or even a BSc...he's an undergrad who has changed majors a couple of times. He has neither the education nor the clearances to have access to some secret project at the level that he suggests is true. Therefore we conclude that the project isn't a secret and that common undergrads have access to it thus the public in general has knowledge of it..

I'm a Junior as well. I've been on the 4 year plan for 6 years. :D Have you mentioned to us what your major is? I'm assuming an area in the field of science? What university? And this "proxy tunneling" experiment is being done under the university? Is your government involved or aware of this?

Darbs, I really don't know what to think, guess I would say I'll continue to follow the story and try to debunk it as always. He said it wasn't top secret, just that his team was the first to implement the idea? I agree though, why not send the winning lotto numbers back a week and cash in for yourself. If he's not in it for money, then what? I look forward to more messages, hopefully not more nonsensical writings and some actual proof would be nice. What do you think the most important question we could ask a time traveler would be?

A proxy talks ordinary TCP/IP. If you can post to a proxy, you can post direct to TTI with your real IP.
Zeshua, Set up a webcam, don't use an anonymous proxy, arrange to connect to a 3rd party wifi network so we can see you logon, and show us the headlines from newspapers. The more you show us, the easier it will be to believe your story.
The thing about text files is anyone can make them. You don't even need to be old enough to have a credit card to pull of this hoax. Anyone doing university level experiments with this would know they have to give something more credible than a text file posted via anonymous proxy.

Well said, and we can assume he is fully capable of setting up a webcam. However I am 100% certain he will have an excuse why he cannot use a webcam. He may possibly use the excuse, "we encountered interference...it's unethical...blah blah, blah." I think we have this pegged and he has nothing left to lean on with his hoax. However, I await for him to reply, as this is becoming quite humorous as it unfolds. We have him and he just won't give up. :D

I agree. All the proof I needed was his inability AND unwillingness to "tunnel" back to 2004 and post a new thread there. If he actually is in our future, and can "tunnel" back to this time, it would be a piece of cake to tunnel back futher and satisfy my curiosity. The fact that he cannot, and does not even provide an excuse why he cannot (because if he were real, there would be no excuse) tells me all I need to know.
