Peter...yes, as soon as I heard the report of the swine flu on television, I knew it would pop up in the forum. If you really look at the so-called predictions, as you quoted them, all of them are not really specific.
These type of events occur all the time, and without specific's, leaves alot of room for guessing whether the person making the predictions is accurate or not. Any one of us, even you, could do something similar.
I could make prediction's for events that will happen to "you" during the next couple of years :
Car Trouble, Home Improvement Repair, Medical Requirements, etc., and without telling you anything specific, would I be considered as a valid source of future events ?
Now, if there were exact locations, and a narrow window regarding a time frame, then I would be more convinced. However, I don't see these elements.
If you are really interested in predictions of the future, might I suggest reading the Nostradamus Quatrains. Nostradamus, obviously, is far more notorious and well-known, however, the same problems exist with his "predictions".
A vague "prediction" is open for all kinds of interpretation, with enough blanks to fill-in to fit numerous scenarios.
As far as the virus thing, if you really want to scare yourself, I would suggest reading the book written by Frank Ryan and published in 1994. Nothing presented so-far in these threads is really anything "new", and anyone good at sorting through information "already" available could create all kinds of predictions, but doesn't mean they are either psychic nor from the future.
