There was a book at some point. At $55 on Amazon.....not cheap ! But I think the publication was a limited edition, you will only get a 'not new' version.
Obviously not under Titor's own name....I think it was his 'mother' or someone who allegedly wrote it. No idea how well it's done.....but can't be too bad a business if old copies are selling at $55 a time !! Even if only 1,000 copies were printed.....you're talking about $55,000 worth of book out there.
Then there's the 'official' Titor website, with merchandise and stuff. I've always been a little suspicious of why the guy who runs it is so determined Titor is 'real'.
And of course, the John Titor Foundation....which seems to feel the need to hire a lawyer. Now why would they need a lawyer ? Well of course.....copyright of 'the story'.
Of course, in that respect Titor has a problem. As he won't reveal his real name, then John Titor is essentially a fictitious character with a problem in that given the very nature of the story anyone else could claim to be 'John Titor returned' and there is nothing any lawyer can do. The only way the lawyer could argue ' you are not the real John Titor'.....is to reveal who the real Titor is.
Indeed.....such a ploy WOULD in fact be a far better way to expose Titor. I can imagine that Titor would hate to be out-hoaxed at his own story.....and have 'the sequel' taken over by someone else...who could even ( as they are John Titor ) rewrite the original story !

The only difference between The Book and the original threads are the "thoughts" of the fictional "Momma" Kay Titor and the indivudual posts that were edited from the original in The Book.

When I'm with my parents, I live in a community made up of "tree houses" on a large river in Florida. The river floods sometimes and we have access to the Gulf.

You really do have a nack for picking the most trivial of ideas and posting them as if they are somehow meaningful:

People in the "present" created their own videos and posted them on the Internet in 2000. That was the crux of the issue about "The Video". He was supposed to post it, or have it posted for him, online.
2) TV over internet [YOUTUBE, HULU]
ABC World News began being broadcast on the Internet in 1994.

In 1999 Japan's sales of LCD monitors was over 5.2 million units.
4) Film replace by digital [PHONECAMS
Digital cameras were first released to the mass market in 1997. The 1999 sales were ~5 million with demand far outstripping supply.

None of these items were predictions. They already existed at the time that TTO./Titor made the posts.

Is that the same Titor who predicted civil war in 2004 ? Just how much leeway do you want to give this guy ? If there is a civil war in 3072......will you then claim Titor got it right ?

WHERE IS JOHN TITOR? EPISODE 13 - THE GOOD BOOK PART 2
Actually Obama is that Lincoln-like President. Both great orators. In fact, there is speculation in some circles( and which I do buy into) that Obama is actually the reincarnation of Lincoln. Lincoln did not hold blacks in high regard and that was his "punishement"(to be reincarnated as a black) for so much bloodshed during the Civil War. Both Obama and Lincoln from Illinois too . . . coincidence?
This is the most compelling evidence yet of who John Titor may have been. The following thread discusses a patent that was taken out on the drawings and math involving the "time machine". The person who applied for the patent (Marlin b.Pohlman) has advanced degrees in computer science, a physics background, and is a Director of Oracle. On his myspace page, he mentions Titor as his hero. Of course, some still believe that he is John Titor and that his machine actually works. Applying for a patent perhaps shows that it may be more lucrative to BE him now. In any case, he certainly Looks like a possible candidate--especially showing some of his "social pathology" in his views of the world. His book is a paragon of dryness and analytical computer mindset. This guy is no "geek" that you would see on "The Big Bang Theory"--more like "Animal House" with brains. If he IS, indeed, Titor; I would go see the movie. It's really a very funny story.

Just a couple of problems with Mr. Pohlman's "invention":
1. It's not an invention. One invents gadgets; physical things. The supposed application is simply a math based paper. Nothing particularly wrong with that but there's nothing in the application that indicates that anything is being invented. It would be appropriate to file for a copyright for paper - but he didn't.
2. Rather than relying on Free Patents Online (the link on GLP) I went to the US Patent Office online database. Nada. No application on file and Marlin Pohlman's name does not appear anywhere in the database. In any case, no patent has been issued under the title on the application and none have been issued to Marlin Pohlman.
3. Titor's schematic drawings were ripped directly from the Internet (probably from this site) and inserted at the top of the application - Figure 1, Figure 2 and Figure 3 - with the same lack of definitions for the numbered arrows pointing to the components.
4. Referring back to #3 - those schematics, which were included in The Book, are copyrighted by the John Titor Foundation. There is no reference to the JTF and their copyright filed with the US Copyright Office.
5. As it relates to Titor - so what? Ripping some diagrams off of the Internet two years after Titor stopped posting and slapping them into a questionable patent application without any explanation sounds a lot more like a joke than a patent application.
I don't think that this points a smoking gun at Marlin Pohlman. However, he's a writer and a computer expert. But tossing in the schematics without any explanation, as I said, sounds like someone was pulling a leg or two - maybe hacking the site and sticking in the diagrams without Pohlman's knowledge? That's possible but over the course of the last 8 years it should have been caught. Not finding the application on the USPO site is also a big problem that makes me wonder if Pohlman had anything at all to do with the application on Free Patents Online. I suppose that if someone is curious enough they could contact him and ask. After 11 years I'm not that interested anymore. Besides,

My bad. I never saw the threads you alluded to. I just posted it thinking it was fairly new. I couldn't care less about it either. It's a big joke to me, always has been.
