Be thankful that John Titor came and gave us advice about the future. However, what I saw is different than the agrarian ecotopia he talked about existing in 2036.

I remember going astral to the future and seeing a dark town, like a ghost town. There was no power. It had houses, but no people. The saddest part was the silence. Highways were empty with no cars on the road. There was this play ground near a school, but the only sound was the rustle of leaves in the wind.

The knowledge of the departure video was kind of a last straw for me.
Something I was waiting YEARS to see. Wanting to only see if it matched the dream I had.
So of course the video was VERY important to me.
But never getting a response back or even to know if it even existed or not.
A video that was promised to me by John years ago.

Iv'e been torn about John Titor for years. I have two sets of feelings for him.
One set if he was a real time traveler I genuinely liked him and another set if he was not a time traveler and just a person who made up a story and used me and never let me in on the truth then I see him as an ass.

Same with the departure video.
Either way...I don't get to see it or even know what is on it. After I have asked about it and waited for it for years. /ttiforum/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
After the Haber interview I again asked about the departure video and I was told I can't know anything about what was on the video at all...what???? Yeah. that makes me mad. Especially when I just asked what was on it. I guess they just want to sell it or something and the heck with me.
It was pretty much the last straw for me. I just can't let them toy with my feelings anymore. I am done with it. I am now at the point like "Whatever..."

The whole situation now only makes me mad. /ttiforum/images/graemlins/mad.gif Either they don't care about John or his wishes or they simply do not care about me or my thoughts. Or maybe both. (real or fake it doesn't matter anymore. Alot of things are pretty obvious to me now.)
I promised myself I would never get that close to another proclaiming time traveler again. Nor take their words entirely to heart.

I just felt like posting this after I read Kronos response on the frequency thread because he said he was torn about how to feel about Damien and his predictions.

Is that guy at the end of the trailer supposed to actually be John Titor? or just an actor?
 
it's an actor recreating what it could have been like to meet john titor. but the part where he meets the filmmaker is one of the most suspenseful parts of the film! it's really interesting.

So is it a documentary, or a movie pretending to be a documentray?

According to her alone. There's no evidence anywhere that substantiates her claims. There is, however, plenty of evidence that suggests that she made up the entire scenario.

But in that regard I have no problem. The entire "Titor" issue has been taken over by people in the film industry and that assumes that it wasn't initiated by people from within that industry which is not, according to the evidence, unreasonable. Their motivation is money, and that is equally appropriate in my POV. Making money from urban legends is no problem. Making up an urban legend is also no problem.

However, basing one's life on an urban legend is a different issue altogether. John Titor, aka TimeTravel_0, was not a genius. He played upon the common beliefs of the common Internet crack-pot. Anyone who plays out their life based on the Titor Legend is a lost soul. At most the best that he provided is bumper-sticker philosophy.

Fortunately, the vast majority of people who have read his posts come to the correct position. The rest, for the most part, rely on interpretations of his posts rather than actually reading them. (If you're in doubt go to JohnTitor.com and you'll see interpretations, not quotes, of his posts.)

But there's not a whit of evidence out there that suggests that I'm not John Titor. And if I actually am John Titor you won't ever find any post that will give you any information that suggests to the affirmative. That's the Legend of John Titor.

Why might you suspect me? Well, if you do the "discovery" you'll discover that I was never on the Internet prior to the appearance of John Titor and that I made my first apperance simultaneous with him. You'll also discover that I've made, at least to an approximation, 5,000 anti-Titor posts. The Titor issue has been the subject of the vast majority of my posts. That alone has drawn attention to the "fact" that I'm probably John Titor.

Now I'll tell you that I'm not John Titor and follow up by insisting that the assertion is true. But can you trust that assertion? If I lied about being a time traveler is it also possible that I'm lying about not being the same wanna-be time traveler? The answer is up to you, not me.

I didn't say that I was. I said that others have said that they suspect me. Even you, on occassion, have mildly expressed some fleeting throughts along that line. Bottom line is that you really don't know one way or the other even though I just finished saying that I'm not Titor.

The point is that just because there is no concrete evidence that suggests that I'm not John Titor is not to be interpreted as evidence in any way, shape or form that I am John Titor.

Now generalize that statement and apply it to any time travel claim. Just because some people aren't convinced that a time travel story has been debunked it is not evidence that the story is possibly true.
 
Did eyesview stop posting here? I see they have a few new videos out that were not even posted here. I thought they were letting us know here when they had something. Did someone run them off?

No. No one ran them off. They just decided not to post about Titor anymore on sites other than their own.
 
I was waiting for their announcements of new films here. So of course I missed their newest ones. I guess film 8 was about them receiving a john titor book in the mail with a zip code from omaha nebraska. But whether they realize it or not they also showed the meter ID number which is right below the zip. Usually small businesses own these types of meters and if they really wanted to investigate it they could do a quick call to hasler corporation and find out who owns that meter. They could actually find out exactly where it was mailed from. If they are lucky it will be a small private business...not so lucky a small pack and send store. But that meter belongs to someone.
 
Their number 9 film looks like some kind of teaser. It has the actor Michael Hartson being interviewed. Its very short. Alls he says is "am I john titor?" And then black and then him again saying "my name is Michael Hartson and I am John Titor." Problem is it is obvious the question asked him was probably "Can you tell us who you play in the movie?" Lol. I thought that was kind of funny though. I do think he is cute though. And if was the person who was John Titor...hey...I am all for that!!! Lol
 
Ya know.....I don't think you are ever going to get a guy who is going to willingly stand up and say ' Yes, I did the Titor hoax '. Primarily because I don't think Titor ever WILL admit to the hoax....even if you narrow the search down to just one person. He's got a nice little myth and cult status going......and the potential dollars probably still could come in......so why 'fess up' after all this time ?
