But to get back to the original purpose of this thread of the first post, it is possible to have an emotional feeling about the future and to in a sense have your future self warning you of something in the future, in as much as I can suggest about it - a feeling about what you really think of what will happen and how you will feel in the future. I think it can happen quite a bit, but sometimes you will be wrong and sometimes you will be correct or nearly so either way.
You see, according to me, you put those thoughts in your head. But the hard part is catching that it is you doing that, like a feeling, so you confer that it is outside factors giving you that feeling. It may very well be that it is some thoughts via the senses or communications you receive or pick-up on that very well gives you those senses of foreboding and bad vibes, but everything that you sense and receive has to be actually considered to be something to consider. Sometimes it is not, and your sense of well-being is not up to as par as you preceive it should be. Complicated, well yes, in a sense, and in a sense, no. It is like a natural part of you that makes every person unique. Some people will have additional feelings immediately by perhaps reacting too fast -- a kind of habit. Some people will only see it as temporary and perhaps even laugh a little at the bad News that you end up giving yourself. Some people end up even seeing an advantage when things seem bleak and dreary and end up even doing better than what some other will. It is also variable in the sense that as a person you can even control how you feel about your feelings and emotions. Many people will always go right into the negative and perhaps think that they are not, and that other people have to change. Unless I am mistaken, the only one you can really change is yourself, although you may preach to others, and end up preaching, preaching, preaching, in the sense of the way that you infer seeing that future to yourself.
There have been methods to deal with such things as Adversity. Smile in the Face of Adversity is one saying. Backing off and regrouping in a sense and waiting a little before jumping is perhaps another action or saying often brought up by those invisible voices in the brain. And sometimes you just have to turn off those invisible voices that you think may be there but not really sure, and actually come around to changing your thinking and looking at the negative in a different way.
These type of thinking and actions are basic and inherent in all humans, it just becomes the way that you solve the problems you think that you will have in the future. Some people will also go overboard about anything, and a lot of people may begin to fear that their actions will be discounted or will not count enough to convince anyone else because again it depends on what other person you are talking to and how those other people are dealing with the problem. If those people are not willing to listen and you think that you are not going overboard about anything and that those other people are, then you just have to ride it out like another option you give yourself or at least try and make it more positive.
Most people perhaps will look to someone else to end up leading them (those type of people) on before they end up disagreeing again, and going their own way.
Whatever the reason that people will give themselves as a person, it is just about clear that no person had to react in the first place.
So if you think that your future self is giving you a warning, first you would have to decide if it really was a warning about something you think will be real or just another feeling about how you feel in the Present.
Therefore to me, it happens all the time, people can be aware of it, but at the same time, perhaps not let any such triggers affect what you really think you will preceive in the future. Perhaps then the saying becomes something like "Just do not jump off of the cliff. Maintain and go on despite the odds.". The hardest part perhaps is always going to be figuring out those odds and if they really are the odds you really need to consider. Being flexible in your thinking also is always brought up, while some other people will always contend that they can not be flexible.
In the end perhaps who will stand out is again - those political candidates. In a sense they are always trying to sell anyone on a future, or how they see things, or how they will make a difference in the end.
Well, making a difference is only making a difference if anyone lets anyone make a difference in the first place anyway. No one would consciously try and end up in a black hole so to speak but then there always will be some other people who attempt to end up putting other people there for some reason or something they think that they should be able to get by with.
Sharpening your wits may not be the same thing. Being more aware may not be the same thing. Some people will just and up annoying others, sometimes all the way to a bad future and then state that they were not at fault. Well, then perhaps everyone should tread lightly then into the future.
