The whole ' I cannot return to this timeline ' malarkey is a great excuse for disappearing, but alas is scientifically just not true. Now I'm not arguing that multiple timelines exist, but IF they did, they would have to follow the laws of logic.

Oh, you're absolutely correct about the above. Real science aside, as a matter of logic and consistency in a sci-fi story, if to have the character escape a logical conundrum the story teller locks the character into a quasi many worlds interpretation saying that he can't go home ever due to his "divergence" plot device, then he can't later have the character come back and say,"Lucy! I'm home!" in order to justify another plot element requiring that the character return.

As I said, the writer can't logically do that. But the only reason that we're still talking about this dead stinking fish of a story after ten years is that logic for some isn't any more logical than common sense is all that common.

But then none of that is the Grace of God which should be the controlling factor.

Well, so much for such a movie and the world as it is while they claim that if the entire world is involve (and the first time it was mainly only Russia) that things will all work out again as it did in the Past, and they want to instill in people the Fear of God of which none of them seem to have, perhaps they do, but really do they have any Grace from God, and like the Devil must cast theirselves back into Hell according to other websites and the way that other people think about what is happening in this world. 40 years ago, some of these people kept saying that is was Armageddon coming, but really.....................they still are doing the same thing, and that is thinking they all are time-travellers. Of course they will not know when it happens, but will surmise that something will happpen, but in the end........................are the Democrats and Republicans really going to keep on going like they have been in this Country?

The Grace of God and the movie about keyless encryption to keep prying eyes out of private communications at least in the movie, and the future foretold in an encrypted message from God in the Torah (in the movie.).

To go ahead and answer your questions though. No, life is not nonsense to me, because I believe how you live will determine your dying experience. If you except death and do not fear it, then you will be able to live a full life. Is there life after death? I do not have the answer to this question, but I do have beliefs. There are currently some very interesting experiments going on right now that I believe will forever change the way we view life after death. I can't think of the site or I would link it. As for UFO's, I have stated many times I believe they are more likely to exist than unlikely, it just seems common sense to me anyway.

The thing I found so funny is, you have these people on here like Pam and Everafter who in the face of mountains of evidence still believe in all this hocus pocus stuff. This is why people believe Pam specifically either has an agenda for pushing this issue OR is really freaking dimwitted. Darby claims she is an intelligent person, I do not dispute this because I do not personally know her. I do know however, that most intelligent persons would not believe in such nonsense....so, you do the math there.

The whole 'cannot return home' theme arises from a fundamental misunderstanding of the science. It is in fact yet another way that one can KNOW that Titor was a hoax......as one can state for a fact that any scientists clever enough to create a time machine would also be aware of the Copernican way of thinkikng.

Copernican logic dictates that there is nothing 'special' about our place in the universe....or our timeline, if such things exist. If we travel to another timeline...there is not some marker left behind that says 'this is your home'. From the perspective of the timeline you have travelled to, your 'home' timeline is just another timeline in a sea of billions of them.

There's absolutely nothing preventing you returning 'home'......any more than there is something in your new timeline preventing some other time traveller from travelling to where you came from. The entire 'cannot return home' malarkey is derived from fictional stories, and is such a common element that it does not surprise me that it finds its way into hoaxes. But it has NO basis in science.....and it's clear that Titor was either unaware of that.....or just plain conived to make a good excuse for conveniently disappearing before the questioning got to hot.

So...Pamela...there's no reason whatever why Titor could not have made it home. Similarly, if he had a genuine time machine, there's absolutely no reason why he could not have shown up again any time between his departure and now. Don't forget that a time traveller is not bound to the same linearity and progression of time that we are. He could arrive home and then a minute later set the device to 2010. 10 years may have passed for us......but only 1 minute for him.

A time traveller effectively has all the time in the world. The notion that Titor just 'had to dash' back to 2038 to be with wife and kids and earn a living is nonsense.
 
It's time to vacate this timeline and travel to another one.
Someone wrote the other day about a person and what he did when facing similiar situations. He stated that the person should just say to his/her self that:
