September 2024

Lyndzee,

When Clinton wins the presidential election in the future who will be running against her?

Does Hillary's daughter ever attempt to get into any politics?

What happens to Obama after he loses the election?

How long does the war go on over there in Iraq? Are we still there in 2024?

Do we have any other wars with other countries from now until 2024?

Why does the USA not have robots like Korea?

Does the Japenese have robots? They always seem to excel in technology.

How is the economy in the USA in 2024?

Can you give us a break down on what happens with the gas prices from now until 2024?

Lyndzee,

Thanks for taking the time to reply to our questions, and to be calm about it, most of the times hehe. Anyway I have a few questions of my own, if you dont mind answering them:

1)Is traveling at the speed of light possible? Or is it believed to be possible, theoritically? If so, how?

2)Do you have any knowledge on videogames? Care to tell us a little bit of how that is in the future? What happens to those from now to 2024?

3)Have you ever been to puerto rico in your time? If so, how is it?

4)How are movies different from todays?

5)What do people do in the interent during your time? What is considered to be the "popular internet hot-spots"?

6)How do you go back to your time?

7)Wouldnt it be possible for you to travel into the future, if someone from the future traveled into your time?

And that is all i can really come up with for now...I wanna thank you, in advance, for answering them.

Regards,
Jose

Lindzee, I would like to know if Steven Hawking's theory is correct and black holes are basically light. Every color of the spectrum produces the color white and mix them backwards, they are black. It also seems the black hole functions opposite of our magnetosphere. I'm not sure if magnetosphere is the correct word.

I'm curious concerning the LH Collider. Helium leaked from the Collider causing the shutdown. I can't help thinking that much could also be learned concerning the sun, since helium does leak out from the sun and it is a process of fusion (I'm sure I'm way off here). Would mini-black holes increase the temperature inside the Collider and cause a buildup of radiation and how would it dissipate in an enclosed environment?

Has Mrs Grummond retired from the kitchen?

She is attending the protest @ wall street!!!

Quoted:
Protests took place on Wall St. to protest the bail out plan - and the mainstream news media didn't even mention it

Hundreds of protestors demonstrated agains the proposed $700 Billion bail out plan for the finance and banking industry, yet the national news media in America didn't even report it! Why not? It seems strange that this barely generated a gander from the big news outlets like ABC, CNN, CBS, NBC etc. all of whom have a presence in New York City. Despite having such a large protest event occurring in their backyard, the major news media chose not to tell the American people about it. I had to stumble upon this on the internet to find out about it. That's really indicative of the pathetic state of affairs in the U.S. media today.

Anyway, in case you haven't seen it, I have collected a bunch of video from the protests on Wall Street (Sept. 25) and posted them below. Have a look at what the news media DIDN'T show you!

Pamela,

Kanigo said it all. Bureaucrat makes baby-talk, Darby makes baby-talk. Easier for Bureaucrat to understand. Sorry that the others aren't fluent.

Bureaucrat so easily distracted by Jimmy Carter "debate". Big DARPA Hon-cho comes from future to debate Jimmy Carter age? But no debate Min-kow-ski co-or-din-ate frame ro-tat-ion? Ho-ho-ho. Silly Bureaucrat.

Darby,

actually the fact is I wasn't 'distracted' by a debate on someone's age. I was simply responding to a statement you made. You attempted to make a statement I made seem questionable or false by stating something yourself that was obviously incorrect. I simply chose to correct you. If someone were to state something as fact and you knew it to be false, would you not do the same?

Jose,

It is possible during time travel, but outside of this, no.

My children loves video games and play them all the time, so I am somewhat familiar with them. Although there have been some 'upgrades' to the setup, it is not that much different from what was a available a few years back.

No, I have never had the opportunity to visit Puerto Rico.

Movies are very similar to what was seen decades ago as far as production, however all movies are now in a digital format and there are tons of 3D movies that are released each year.

Popular internet hot spots? I would say that some of the most popular sites to visit would be search engines as well as social networking sites.

The travel unit is already prepared and I would go through a series of procedures to put it to use.

I touched on the topic of time travel to the future in a previous post where I mentioned that in theory we should be able to travel to the future using the same technology we use now, however this is still in initial trials.

Pamela,

The Clinton/Patrick ticket campaigned against the Romney/Guiliani ticket.

Chelsea Clinton did not/has not entered politics.

Barack Obama continues to work in the Senate and attempted to gain the Democratic Nomination for the 2012 election which he lost to Clinton.

Yes, the United States still maintains a large number of troops in Iraq, however this number is far less than what there were in the early part of the conflict.

The US is involved in a number of conflicts around the word in a few different countries. These are surrounding terrorist activity however and not a war directly with another country itself.

There are a number of robots in the US, however the country has not have nearly the number found in other parts of the world. I cannot really explain this except to say that at times it seems the US is slow to pick up on what the rest of the world is doing.

South Korea has the largest number of robots, but Japan is also heavily involved in robotics, yes.

The economy is strong and the dollar has kept pace with other international currencies including the euro.

Gas prices have dropped significantly as petroleum is no longer in such high demand due to fuel cell vehicles.

Lyndzee,
Will you have a report to fill out and submit when you get back? If so what are some of the things you will put in the report? Will you bring back a lot of info or a little? Will some of our postings be in your report?

Yes, many debriefings occur when a traveler returns, however the information we return with is small in comparision to other missions which will take place later.

Lyndzee, I have a 2nd round of questions about the US:

-Is the abortion still legal in the US? Is the pro-choice/pro life controversy still a big issue?
-Is the NAFTA still operative or Has it been repealed or modified?
-Is the dollar still the national currency of the US?
-Is the Spanish language very strong in 2024?
-Is the illegal inmigration still so high? Has there been some sort of massive deportation of aliens between now and 2024?
-How is the divorce rate compared to previous decades?
-Do you have Universal health care in 2024?
-What abouth the crime? Do you have more or less crime in your time?
-Has video surveillance/CCTV become more commonplace? Did it help to reduce some types of crimes?

Well, enough for now. Gracias Lyndzee y espero que no le moleste que le haga tantas preguntas, simplemente es que tengo mucha curiosidad por saber como será el futuro. Gracias de nuevo.

BR_Holden,

Yes, abortion is still legal, however the number of abortions in the US has dropped dramatically.

NAFTA is still part of the government landscape, however modifications have been made to the intitial structure including changes to a number of taxes and duties as well as the import/export of several commodities which was led by Canada.

Yes, the dollar is still the currency.

The spanish language has grown in usage, coinciding with the increase in hispanic population.

There has not been a massive deportation, however illegal immigration has dropped significantly due to the border fence and additional patrolling of the border itself.

The divorce rate sits around 55% which i believe is not much of a change.

Yes, universal health care came to pass under the Clinton Administration.

I would say that crime has neither increased nor decreased.

Video surveillance has been used for a few decades now so I am unable to determine whether there has actually been an 'increase' in its use. I would assume it is a standard form of security, even in 2008.

CatJammin,

I am not involved with CERN or the LHC directly and therefore cannot speculate.

Wow!! Lindzee, that's what I call a true Bomb!! We are on Mars! So, for what you are hinting I must assume that the space exploration has been vigorously reactivated again since it almost stopped in the mid 1970's. Nowadays they are talking about sending a manned mission to mars too, but never sooner than 2030. Therefore I must also assume that the reason to bring forward the initial date will be that there is some sort of new "space race" between the US and China, am I right?

A bomb?? I do not understand why this would be a 'true bomb'? Why would the fact that we put a man on Mars automatically mean there was another 'space race'? This is incorrect.

A few questions:

-What year do we go back to the moon? What country was the first?
-You talked about a new Space Agency composed by the previous national space agencies of the US, Canada and Japan, right? Why the ESA didn't joint that agency?
-Apart from the US/CAN/JAP, how many countries landed a manned mission on the the Moon?
-Who is building that "colony" in the Moon? What's its purpose? When will be finished? Are there going to be acces for the general public in the near future? I mean like tourism, moon hotels, etc.
-Who arrived first to Mars, the US-led mission or the Chinese mission? What year was that? How long does it took the travel to Mars?
Thanks Lyndzee!

The year escapes me, but I believe it was 2018/2019.

Yes, it is comprised of those three countries. I would not be able to tell you why the ESA was not included as I was not at all involved in those conversations. I would assume that they were comfortable with the status of their space program on its own?

China is the only other country to land on the moon, however Russia is planning a mission there in the near future.

Any 'colony' on the moon would simply be a research facility built by the US/Japan/Canada.

The mars landing was conducted by the US/Japan/Canada and took place just about a year ago (2023).

Although his stay was brief and only made a handful of posts, we were able to read them upon his return.

L,

Can you explain the connection between the posts materialising on a server and the traveller arriving back in 2024.

Surely if the posts were made in 2023 then they should have been available to view before the traveller returned, in the same way that your posts exist now and the team in 2024 should be reading them. /ttiforum/images/graemlins/confused.gif /ttiforum/images/graemlins/confused.gif

My_Time,

The second traveler was tasked within his mission to begin a direct conversation through electronic means and he chose this forum during his mission. It was not until his return and debriefing that it became known to us the forum which he had chosen and therefore read his posts within the forum.

Hello again,

It is kinda weird because apparently, from what you are stating, nothing has changed in what? 16 years? I find it difficult to believe, seeing how much everything has changed from 1990 to today, 18 years. I am guessing the same leaps, or even bigger one would happen from today to 2024...thats just me I guess?

What about private space traveling? How is that?

L,

Thanks for the reply, so does this mean that your posts materialise on a server in 2024 as you write them now and the team there can read them? I am assuming that the team will be aware you intended to post here

Bureaucrat still distracted by farmer Jimmy. Maybe not know what is spacetime ro-ta-tion? Me not forget to-pic...space tra-vel.

Bureaucrat,

Two questions:

1. What was the mission cost, less any R&D, to send you to 2008? Ballpark figures are OK.

2. What was the mission cost, less any R&D, to do the Mission to Mars? Again, ballpark fugures are OK.

When I'm asking about the cost less R&D I mean just the actual cost of the instant mission rather than the cost of the entire program-to-date.

Lyndzee,

The situation going on right now in wallstreet do they ever get their bail out?
Exactly what happens with that situation in the next few weeks or months?
Is there any relief for people losing their houses?
Is it harder to get a loan?
What was the final outcome of the bailout/no-bailout situation?
For the people in general and for the banks.
Any big surprises waiting around the corner because of it?

thanks
