John Titor returning October or November?

Paula,

Is there somewhere online we can read the book (or portions of it) your friend wrote? It looks like the crux of the argument isn't the content of the claims, but that they are reluctant to pay for it out of skepticism.

Feels like some wires are getting crossed and the intent or "voice" behind some posts are getting misinterpreted as attacks or accusations. Thanks for keeping it civil, guys!

I did an online search and Google's first result was the following:https://www.scribd.com/doc/2202812/The-Time-Travel-Tale-of-John-Titor
Of course Google searches rarely produce relevant results any longer. So I do have my doubts that this is Temporal Recon's book.

But you can read it online for free, or save the webpage to your hard drive to avoid signing up for pdf download.
That looks more like a condensed Q&A version of the forum posts here... Paula told me about this book a while back and I don't think I've been able to find it either.
It'd be nice if Temporal Recon would be willing to make the book available here for members only (in the upcoming downloads section), but I don't know whether that's something he'd entertain. Would be cool though!

Like Rainman, I will not pay to read somebody else's theories on John Titor.

However, if anybody is willing to send me their copy of the book, "Convictions of a time-traveller", then I will gladly read though the evidence the author offers. Likewise, if there is a site that offers a free copy, then I am willingg to read through the evidence.

What I do not understand is this; those that have read the book seem reluctant to share the alleged "revelations" conveyed in the book on this forum. Why is this?

My best guess would be that the order or manner in which the information is conveyed causes one of those "lightbulb" moments. This is my uneducated theory though, but is the feeling I get in reading responses from those that have read it.

That could well be it. Would be interesting though, for somebody who has read the book to share something from the book.
Temperoal recon/Nozeitall used to be a member on this forum.

Nozeitall
I've seen his posts all over the place! He's the dude who ended every post with "-- The Noze" or something like that.

@PaulaJedi - It'd be awesome if that guy came back. I know there's a lot of people who disagree with statements made about the whole Titor story, but it'd still make for interesting conversation so long as it was kept polite.

There was some mention that NozeItAll was Temporal Recon. But I've had PM's with both posters and neither of their writing styles had any similarity at all.

I'm going to stop arguing, but I'm going to end it with this: TR is a nice guy and a great writer. End of story.[DOUBLEPOST=1412786851,1412786443][/DOUBLEPOST]

Nobody ever asked me. It has been 2 years since I read the book, but if you want, I will do a book review later. I can't promise when because I'm raising a family and running a business, so my personal time is limited, but I'll try to get it done before the end of the year. Deal?

Peace, Paula. I am sure he is both of those, and I bear him no ill will. And I really would like to read his theories (because I believe I could likely dissect them...call it a hobby), but I just simply do not want to pay anyone my money to further what I consider an already-falsified hoax.
Thanks,

RMT

I am not making the claim that Temporal Recon isn't an honest person. You are, and you don't know him. I'm simply defending a friendand I will continue to do so as needed. I don't care if we agree on topics, but I will not tolerate people making false claims about a friend of mine. So, this is going to be a long, circular discussion, it seems. I originally was recommending the book. You decided to make the conversation about the author. The book isn't about the author. It never has been. That's the whole point of his writing anonymously. I was simply asking you to show evidence that he is "shady", and you have none.

Please explain, then, how it is "logical" to judge someone you know NOTHING about? That is a precursor to hate and it's precisely what is wrong with this country.
Paula,

This entire post is a misdirection.

Ray never directly or indirectly stated or suggested that Temporal Recon was a "shady" or dishonest person. Ronnie NY, not Ray, posted that being an anonymous author was somewhat "sketchy".

Ray said that if a person is not interested in making money on a book that s/he has authored it is possible to publish it online entirely without cost to either author or the reader. His point was that your assertion, not Temporal Recon's, was faulty.

Now the fact is that the self-published book "Conviction of a Time Traveler" is $18.99 on Amazon. That's a mighty hefty price for a self pub. But if someone is willing to pay that price then good for TR. And he's made it very clear to us that if we want to know his "entire" story we have to pay to play, i.e. buy his book. There's nothing shady or unethical for an author to make a buck on his/her intellectual property. But for someone other than the author to assert in the name of the author that s/he isn't interested in making money on the book is a bit over the top given the facts.

As to the "I know Titor...errrr....Temporal Recon better than you" argument: we've been there, done that and have the t-shirts. That was always Pamela's ploy vis-a-vis Titor. In this case TR is a big boy, is a Member of this forum and he can (and has) speak for himself. Those of us who have been around this site for somewhat more than a few months don't need to buy his book to make a judgement. He's posted here. He has a Facebook page. He had a website. Without spending the $18.99 we've read what he has to say in order to see how he ticks.

We've known him for the past two years as an author. The opinions that Ray and I have of him are most definitely not uninformed.

Yes, a book review on this forum would be great, thank you. I look forward to reading it, when you get the chance to compile it.

So, anyway, back to the original topic, yes, some form of Titor will arrive in November. This translates into, we will be hearing about him once more. Don't shoot the messenger.

I for one can't wait for the new improved 'form' of Titor. I just hope he doesn't conform too much to the standards of most shallow cash-ins designed to capitalise on the success of the original that just regurgitate the beats of the first one. On the other hand, if they stray too much from the formula that could suck too. I mean, if he fails to be preachy, patronising and prone to providing ridiculously bad predictions it just won't feel like a worthy sequel.

What's really important this time is that he comes up with a legitimate reason to actually sell some PRODUCT as the real failure of the story last time was not setting up a viable means to get the merchandise going. Imagine the ire caused when other people are selling mugs with your logo on it!

As for those who are on this board working tirelessly to promote the upcoming sequel I hope they have factored in the fact that there have been a million Titor clones since he last warped out of our time zone for good (or at least until his return could be worked out in a way that hopefully lives up to the hype. ) The impact of fresh new Titor material could just vastly diminish the brand as Phantom Menace diminished the Star Wars legacy.

I personally believe this has already happened. Regardless of what time looping methods are used to bring about MORE Titor the fact that he's back at all is a really bad miscalculation in what could have been one of the great hoaxes of the internet age. Already it seems, it's perpetrators have been unable to resist making it cheaper and crappier than it was.

That is rhetoric that is not quite true. If he were not out for "fortune" then why does he not post the book on a website, for free? Anyone who is really serious and, as you claim, not out for "fortune" would be more interested in putting his ideas out there for ALL to see and debate, and not worried about making a buck.RMT
I don't think the fact that a book is for sale necessarily negates the validity of the information inside of it. Serious people sell books all the time.

...Will it be... Highlander 2? (There can be only One! ...or, perhaps, two sequels?)

Will it be...Grease 2? (Like many a terrible sequel, this one falls down on simple maths, as it tries to rehash the original without the talent, energy or essential ingredients that made the first one a hit. )

Will it be BENEATH The Planet of the Apes? (In which there's a proper END to the idea of any more sequels built into the story - as indeed there was to the original story! ...until we can think up a time-twisting, commercially-lead solution to the problem of no more sequels...i.e: ESCAPE from the Planet of the Apes, CONQUEST of the Planet Of the Apes and BATTLE for the Planet of the Apes)

Will it be the odious Sex in the City 2? Where the commercial necessity of a sequel DESTROYS not only any vague artistic credibility but also any moral credibility (Not, to be fair, that there was much of that to begin with)

Will it be Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest? (Unnecessarily complication of the plot puts the brakes on any real fun.)

Will it be Beethoven's 2nd? (Silly shaggy dog story gets shaggier and sillier?)

Will it be Escape from LA? (Cool, low budget original idea scuppered by poor low budget and shitty sequel idea)

Will it be Highlander II: The Quickening? (This oddity just complicates things further, frequently contradicting its predecessor in a derivative future setting. )

Will it be The Lost Boys: The Tribe? (Just about everything gets a downgrade in quality)

Will it be Blues Brothers 2000? (None of the goofy charm that made the original such fun, and the big set pieces feel forgettably shallow)

Will it be Speed 2? (Unable to summon any of the tension, thrills or wow factor of the earlier high-concept hit)

Will it be American Psycho II? (Gone is any satire, tension and black humour. What we're left with is a reputation-tarnishing stinker attached to the original by only a tacked-on intro)

Just saying :)
Haha, what a great compilation of one-liner sequel reviews!!! :ROFLMAO:

As I recall, Haber swooped in with a legal maneuver to steal the copyrights to the Titor story. His claim went unchallenged. Thus giving him copyright status over the story. So he can legally add any subsequent story segments as he sees fit.
I sincerely hope Mr. Haber's interest is about maintaining the integrity of the 'Titor Saga', but I am finding that difficult to believe. It appears as if Haber does indeed know something, and is an opportunist adversely affecting the situation by exploiting it for personal gain.

I did a Google search and followed that to Amazon. It allows for a limited preview of the book. That was enough for me to decline purchasing it.

I would suggest caution posting anything from the book. The first pages state it "can not" be shared without the publisher's consent.
Though, that might be revealing in it's own right. The only Alaska Holdings, LLC I ever found dissolved. So who could we ask for permission from? Is Temporal Recon the type to profit from a law suit for copyright infringement?

I do have one more simple question concerning JT's return here. How can he "return" to this "exact" time line when he claims hitting the same time line on his return to his own time line was "not" possible. Zero divergence and all that...
