When I read that comment, I never once thought the comment included you nor have I ever thought the comment was even remotely directed towards you -- at all.

Even you would have to admit that there are time travel claimants that do show up and make claims that are way off and only result with almost falling out of the chair from laughing so hard.

At least, in my opinion, are doing your homework, and really making a serious attempt to accomplish something.

Your approach is far different than someone coming here and insulting everyone with some totally ridiculous claim of being from the future, and I'm sure you, yourself, chuckled at more than one claim.

If any of the posts in any forum bother's you that much, time to take a break for awhile. Shouldn't let anything written in any forum upset you so much.

Seems to me you have more important things to concern yourself with than any particular individual in an on-line forum.

I am certain it has been mentioned somewhere in TTI, that I have met Rainman in person, and I know for a fact he is nothing even close to the description's you've decided to include in your posts against him.

Too bad you got bent over something actually quite small compared to some other worldy events, because I know that there have been times where I needed help for various tragedies, and Rainman was one of the first people to be there to offer his support.

This last post was un-called for and really demonstrates how much you DON'T KNOW about Rainmantime.

You made the choice, friend or foe, and it is sad to see that you decided to choose foe, instead of friend.

Guess you'll never know how good of a friend you have missed out on, and that it sad all in itself.

After watching Mad Dog duel with a few people here who I wont name I thought he should of taken a break a long long time ago. He does let people upset him and it seems sometimes he is trying to fight the whole forum. Case in point. Go back to Mad Dogs post and look at how many names of other people appear in his post. I agree. Someone should take a break but I disagree that it should be me. Mad Dog needs a break real bad.

You have a point here. My reason behind this is fixing to show up next time Mad Dog and I speak. He concerns himself with everybody else here and I for one and getting tired of it. I am fixing to let him know about it at some point in time. You seem to think your words apply only to me let me know if I am wrong in that. I see your wisdom and I understand your point. If your words could apply to Mad Dog too then I think you would of accomplished something with your post.

Like I said. The only time Mad Dog is a person is when he trys to teach. The rest of the time he is a bully and pokes his nose into other peoples business.

If he was really my friend and trying to help me when I asked him what his business was here he would of put aside his anger and "UNCALLED FOR WORDS" and tried to help me with my problem with him. He would of explained it and talked about it instead of acting like the jerk he really is.

Last thing - Maybe some of my words are uncalled for. I will take your advice on that and try to watch it more. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.

Well...

I can't say that I haven't had my moment's with some people now and again during the years of posting here. For me, my sense of humor sometimes is mis-understood, as happened in my spoof thread OvrLrdLegion Travel's in Time Story.

It was taken as serious by some people, and not seen as merely satire. I did reply with some heat in that thread, and maybe a few others, but really didn't take it personally. When I turn off my computer, and walk away, they are all gone. I don't really know "who" they are, and being a "fictional" forum to begin with, I try not to let anyone affect my day.

Not everybody is diplomatic in word structure, and sometimes the true intentions aren't apparent. I try to look past the comments that may be somewhat bothersome, but also try to consider what the author is really trying to convey.

I know that with some of my "wild" theories, you, Rainman, Darby and many others all force me to pause and think about my presentation(s).

I will admit that sometimes there are words written that irk me, being a man with emotions, it is hard to not feel the "bite" sometimes, but have to keep things in context.

Anyone here should never allow sentiments here to result with words being used that can't be taken back, and will forever remain as a testament for anger and hatred.

Sometimes the bickering here makes me all the more effective when I DO get into a debate with people in the "real" world. I feel sorry for those folk's who try to go up against any regular member of TTI in a debate outside these hallowed halls. We all have been specially trained and have experience under our belts that make us formidable opponents. /ttiforum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

As it has been pointed out, TTI is still far less critical than some forums, and what is happening here is not all that unique nor different. Try to present a different perspective in most of the scientific communities, and heated replies should be expected. Goes with the territory.

In reading a theory regarding the migration of mankind in one website, and found evidence that was contrary to what the author claimed. I presented that author with the evidence that I discovered, and his reply makes the comments here seem like rainbow's and fluffy marshmellows.

I agree with you that perhaps there are different methods of being critical, without becoming personal in the critical response's. However, we all are different and respond in different ways, and that can't be helped, nor should be desired.

We ALL have an opportunity to learn from our mistakes, and mistakes we ALL will make, and hopefully we ALL learn more about ourselves and apply what we see in ourselves, and elements as pointed out by observers outside of our selves, to become that much of a better person, no matter where we ALL find ourselves.

Life is tough, alot of "stuff" to be dealt with, such as finding out my wife has a disease that may render her blind in the next few years. I really do like everybody here, and find a haven of sorts from the pressure and realities of the real world, and I agree that when these posts become personal battlefields, it takes away from what TTI "should be" all about for everyone.

This is only an opinion, and I learned a long time ago, opinions don't count for much.

Still worth a shot to try to make a better place in the world, today, however unrealistic such an idea might be.

This comes from being an Administrator for a server some partners and myself have been operating for a few years. We get people that complain and whine everyday, and what you read here, is what we say to the people on our server.

Simply put, if anyone doesn't like it in our gaming server, then leave, nobody is forcing anyone to play ( gaming server ) there.

This seems to apply here at TTI, as well.

The statement isn't really directed to any ONE particular person, but is more of a general statement, but take it as you will, nobody IS forcing you to post here. If you don't like it, then as an adult it is up to you to deal with it, and NOT to cry, bitch and moan, continuously.

I have traveled through time and it ruined my life as well as countless others. The ability to travel through time is trivial in comparison to our inability to know the devastating consequences of our actions upon the timeline.

When were you born? Where? What times have you travelled to and from? When was timetravel invented? By whom?

My previous post was merely figurative in response to quantum leapers desire to change the past. We are all moving forward through time and the desire to manipulate the past for the benefit of our present is what I call regret. While I believe time travel is theoretically possible, I do not believe any living being could physically survive the attempt.
