Desdigner! nice quiz!
1) Whether or not the observer affects the outcome of any problem is dependant on the point of view, and the set of 'facts' used. Whether it is newtonian of quantum mechanics makes little difference, if any. As I've mentioned, most everything your science now is telling you is wrong in as much as everything your science 300 years ago was telling was also wrong. Imagine that the solution to your problem is a 2 ton piece of steel. Now I can move it with lots of energy at once, cut it up into small grains and then move it, or try to nullify it and then move the slag that is the result. In the end, I still have tonnage of steel to move, and that is no small feat in any form. In a direct answer, any observer does not affect the result, but the postion of the observer would have an effect upon the perceived result. There is how things are, and how we'd like them to be. You are clearly asking me to answer a weighted question to conform to your idea of the latter. I don't like to watch others shoot, and I try not to think too hard about the potential repercussions because it will make you lunar. In essence, no! Nothing about perception matters, there is only what is, and what it becomes afte rone goes mucking about in the stream.
2) you description is as good as any other I've been able to grasp. It's not a hollow black hole with a hollow singularity in the center, it's more of a rod thrust through the space-time continuim that I am expected to ride. And trust me, there's nothing enjoyable about it. Imagine spending enternity with only your own mind to keep you company. Very few of us shooters that are not so absorbed in ourselves can make more than a scant few trips. I exist here because I am a particle of the Universe that exists. if my position in things is shifted around, that does not mean that i cease to exist, it merely means that I exist somewhen else.
3) I have yet to fire a single slag in the civil war, and have never seen it first-hand. I am not training to be an agent in the up and coming struggle, I am trying to finance the powers that prevent it from happening. Although there is only one time stream, liner time remains solid in the distant past and is in fluz until a proper t-mass is attained that prevents any major changes in tomowhen.
As far as I can tell, free will exists, or at least the illusion of it, which is paramount to the same ends. Although a large T-mass makes it even harder to alter or avoid, I have yet to make a decision that was not totally my own. One could, I guess, argue that my desicions were pre-ordained, but then that is begging the question is it not?
4) it is considerd a crime punishable by death by the reich to alter the time stream without the offical sanction of the reich. There are no courts in the 23rd. there is only those that are sheep, and those that are sentenced to death. If it matters to you, I am in the criminal class because I feel that people should be able to dictate their own lives and not have them dictated to them. The price on my head is enough to feed a standard sanctioned family for over 1/2 year! There are others that have a price of ten to twenty times higher, but I am a fundraiser and misdirectionist, not an operative. I would like, at this juncture, to beat my chest a bit and point out that I do have the highest price on my head of any of the muses.
And now I ask you, why should a time traveler know these specific things? You are of this nano, do you know, in detail, wihtout a recourse to study from, why the music of the w1980's turned to what was knwn as the hair-band era, and then into the grunge movement? Can you give psecifics? Also, if the above is true, how did tha tmovement effect Country music in regards to dress, style, and basic chord progressions?
As you know, I habe some small interst in music and I know of these things, but if you look at my queries, you can see why I hold yours in the same light. Just because I can drive one of your cars, does not mean that I know the particulars of the pressures induced by the spark plug in the internal combustion engine.
