I fixed the Spanish because, as stated in the original post it didn't quite say what the translation indicates.

As originally written it said, "Pretty much everyone runs, jumps or swims has already left the country." "Que" in the context of the original is not translated as "who". It doesn't translate at all into English. "Quien" translates as "who".

Casi cada uno quien puede funcionar, saltar, o nadar ya ha salido del pais.

And as Ray said, it's an obvious joke about illegal immigration from Mexico to the USA.

Obama declares nomination victory

Mr Obama spoke to cheering supporters in St Paul

Barack Obama has declared himself "the Democratic nominee for president of the United States".

He was speaking to a cheering crowd on the last day of the primary season, as projections showed he had earned enough delegates to clinch the nomination.

Of the states that voted, Montana was won by Mr Obama and South Dakota by his rival Hillary Clinton, US media say.

In her own speech to supporters, Mrs Clinton refused to concede and said she would make a final decision later.

Role for Clinton?

Mr Obama's speech was delivered in St Paul, Minnesota, where Republicans are set to hold their presidential nominating convention.

In the address, he paid tribute to Mrs Clinton and hinted that she would play a role in a hypothetical Obama administration.

I wouldn't be so quick to judge yet recall15.

Still waiting on the Michelle Obama "Whitey" tapes and any October surprises.

Female president ...... cough.

And to think I sat and watch both Obama and Clintons speaches last night and this morning.

Kanigo,

You're correct - the fat lady still hasn't actually sang so Hillary still has a chance to pull it off at the Convention. It's not much of a chance but its still theoretically possible.

Re: Clinton to suspend campaign, bucking for VP??

quoted:
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Sen. Hillary Clinton on Saturday will officially suspend her campaign for the presidency and "express her support for Senator Obama and party unity," her campaign said Wednesday.

The Clinton campaign said she will make the announcement at "an event in Washington, D.C.," where she will also thank her supporters.

Sen. Barack Obama and Clinton were in Washington on Wednesday to each address the influential American Israel Public Affairs Committee. The candidates ran into each other at the AIPAC conference and had a brief chat, Obama spokeswoman Linda Douglass said.

"She's an extraordinary leader of the Democratic Party and has made history alongside me over the last 16 months. I'm very proud to have competed against her," Obama told the Israel lobbying group.

Obama became his party's presumptive nominee Tuesday and will be looking to unite Democrats divided by the long and contentious primary season.

"I am very confident how unified the Democratic Party is going to be to win in November," he said in a Senate hallway Wednesday. iReport.com: Obama/Clinton -- dream team or nightmare?

Not so fast recall-
She said she will "suspend" her campaign, but she will not remove her name from the ballot.

The devil is in the details.

Edit: wanted source....

"I have said throughout the campaign that I would strongly support Sen. Obama**** IF **** he were the Democratic Party's nominee, and I intend to deliver on that promise," the e-mail read.

LOL- well he isn't yet. But when he is I will capitulate.

Re: Good example of what Titor was trying to tell

Is it over?

The President or "leader" in 2005 I believe tried desperately to be the next Lincoln and hold the country together but many of their policies drove a larger wedge into the Bill of Rights. The President in 2009 was interested only in keeping his/her power base.

On a side note, anyone want to start a bicycle tire distribution business with me?

Technology is not gone in 2036 nor is it the private domain of "government" leaders. Computer printers just didn't work very well on 12 volts and many people just got used to doing things the old way. After the war, the main problem was distribution. Can anyone tell me how many companies in the United States still manufacture bicycle tires today? Anyone who still has a bike in 2008 will find out.

Re: Good example of what Titor was trying to tell

like this?
link to bicycle...

quoted:
Tire Size

Most tire sizes are specified with two numbers. The first number refers to the rim size that the tire is designed to fit, and is roughly equal to the outside diameter of a typical tire. The second number refers to the width of the tire. For example, a standard road tire is specified as 700C x 23, which indicates a tire that is approximately 700mm in diameter and 23mm wide. In actuality, neither of these number is an exact measurement.

In choosing a new tire for your bike, the important specification is the rim size (700C in the above example). A tire of the wrong rim size will not fit on your wheel. The width is less important, as most wheels will be able accept a fairly wide range of tire widths.

There are five tire rim sizes that are in common use on modern standard adult bicycles.

* 26" is the most commonly used size for modern mountain bikes and is also used by many hybrid bikes.
* 27" is an older size that was used for road bikes, but since so many bikes were built with this size, it is still readily available.
* 29" is actually the same rim diameter as 700C, but most 29" tires will not fit 700C road rims because they're too wide.
* 650C is used for smaller road bikes and triathlon bikes.
* 700C is the most commonly used size for modern road bikes.

In addition to these now common sizes, there are at least a dozen other tire sizes that are used on recumbents, children's bicycles, folding bicycles, and older bicycles. Some of these sizes are very difficult to tell apart. For example, there are six different tire sizes that we're aware of that are all called 26". If you have an older bicycle (more than 15 years old) that is labeled 26", take a look at our article on 26 inch tire sizes. There are also several different 20 inch and 24 inch sizes.

US consumers face advent of cloned food

Duane Kraemer approaches with pride the Angus bull eating hay behind a fence at Texas A&amp;M University. As the veterinary surgeon draws near, the bull snorts and paws the ground.

Healthy as he looks, many Americans would not want to see this bull become steak on their plate. His name, "86 squared", hints at his origins as the clone of a bull called 86.

The US Food and Drug Administration set off a debate across the food industry when it ruled in January that clones of cattle, pigs and goats were safe to eat. Since then the US Department of Agriculture has asked producers to refrain from introducing milk and meat from clones into the food supply "to ensure a smooth and seamless transition into the marketplace".

According to The New York Times, the Agriculture Department has been fighting a lawsuit from a Kansas beef producer over the department's refusal to allow it to test for mad cow disease so that the producer can resume beef shipments to Japan.

'New CJD type' discovered in US
Section of brain for testing
The patients' brains had the familiar spongy tissue make-up

A new form of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD) may have been uncovered in a handful of patients in the US.

Ten people have so far died from a fast-advancing form of fatal dementia called PSPr, New Scientist reports.

Patients develop the trademark brain damage associated with CJD - the type not linked to BSE - but scientists believe there may be a genetic cause.

Experts in the UK are now checking records to see if any cases have happened across the Atlantic.

There are between 50 and 100 new cases of so-called sporadic CJD diagnosed in the UK every year.

Unlike "variant CJD", the human form of BSE in cows contracted by eating contaminated brain tissue in the 1980s and 1990s, the cause of most cases of sporadic CJD is unknown.

The new cases were referred to CJD surveillance units in the US because they were a suspiciously fast-advancing form of dementia with additional symptoms such as the loss of the ability to speak and move, even though traditional tests that normally help diagnose CJD proved negative.

Post-mortems on those who died revealed the familiar "spongy" brain tissue, covered with tiny holes.

These are thought to be caused by the accumulation of "prions", a misshapen version of a normal brain protein.

Re: Good example of what Titor was trying to tell

Now we got "the plan to Shift" form Titor Timeline to get Mc Cain as President (V3.0) and "the no elections" predictions by the Web Boots...

TTI link

and the recipe disclossed on Project Camelot:
Log Entry 25
Lindsey Williams was interviewed by Jeff Rense on 22 July, the audio available to his subscribers. Williams is the author of the controversial (and very interesting) The Energy Non-Crisis, claiming inside knowledge of a number of scenarios involving the manipulation of oil markets.

Williams told Rense he had been threatened, and had been obliged to close his website - on which there remains a simple announcement. [Note: his original site is still available here on the Wayback Machine.] But he was also given new information, his source/adversary having clarified what he could reveal publicly. This is what he said:

<font color="blue"> • The price of a barrel of oil will rise a little more [Note: $150, according to Williams' May 29 interview on Out There TV]. Then an announcement will be made of the discovery of huge oil reserves "North of Russia" and in Indonesia. These will flood the market with oil and the price will drop to $50 a barrel.
• That will bankrupt the Arab nations - who will be forced to dump their dollar reserves.
• That will in turn effectively bankrupt the US, and "America will see a financial collapse from which it will take years to recover".
• Following that will come the North American Union and the Amero.
• Additionally, Williams was told that "something will happen shortly before the election" which will ensure that McCain becomes President.

<font color="purple"> Williams insists he was specifically told this plan - and that he was authorized to release the information. Much of the above would happen in the next 12 months.

Williams did not mention war, or outbreaks of disease, or any other problems. He hinted that there was more information he had not revealed, and more information he was not permitted to reveal.

There are many questions posed by the above. It's hard to understand why he was permitted to say all this (unless the information is deliberately misleading) - but at the same time had been pressured into closing his website and ceasing to sell his books and DVDs (some of these, though, including a new one, he says are still for sale).

Seemingly inferred from the above information is that there may not be a military attack on Iran ("the world's richest nation", he was told) - but an economic one. Things may have changed, but this does not fit with what we have been specifically told right up until fairly recently. We remain wary, and continue to monitor the situation closely.

Re: Good example of what Titor was trying to tell

I'm pretty sure that the Olympics will go off without a hitch, notwithstanding a few bus bombings or some other weird crowd activity. I am of the opinion that the "world" as Titor knew it in 2038 was so different that the Olympic Committee in that time wasn't even thinking about what got them to that point, so thus were "unofficial".

What I'm trying to wrap my brain around is why people would blatantly stay in cities when the world around them is crumbling? Why would they even need to attack the rural community and vice-versa. Is it going to be pure economics or some other reason? Even with the Homeland Security threat level "stuck on yellow", I seriously doubt that Al-Qaeda is a main reason.

Is it pure economics?

Re: Good example of what Titor was trying to tell

No it is not completely economic in nature.

It is also a total and complete destruction of our civil responsibilities.

Our government I believe is now allied with the Taliban/Al Qaeda.
This is nothing but treason in my eyes.

The longer they back up the military dictatorship and continue to send money to the ISI, without going into Pakistan and taking control of the nuclear warheads they have... You will see this perpetual treasonous lieing continue.

We are literally "all in" with almost a loosing hand and we are now bluffing to keep the hand alive.

GW has bet our entire future on this and we do not still to this day understand exactly what is being bet on.

Sadly now GW is a puppet and china drags him around and orders him to do things.

Every single alliance he has created should be called into suspicion.

The Olympics will complete, but not for the reason that we assumed that it would fail-that was only a ploy to make us waste our time.

I will not post links here to what I say- There is no point anymore.

(EDIT) Forgive me my anger here.. Musharraf is close to be taken out and no-one knows who will run the ISI at the moment, figure a solid update within 2 days on Pakistan.

Re: Good example of what Titor was trying to tell

Ask a stupid question (about why ppl would stay in cities)...

... Get a Stupid Answer

I can imagine some sovereign foreign fund buying up foreclosed homes and then offering "help for the poor". As long as you follow the security dance and give up your rights.

Oh yeah, all over this one.
