Pamela, you are like an encyclopedia of research. I did not know the big rock split. I was only there once and it was only a few weeks before it split. I;m glad I got to see it whole.
Granite is funny rock, being that it produces an odd electric field (odd because there is no magnetics involved, just piezeo-electric effect). The great pyramid has layers of granite (conducting) and sandstone (insulating) layers. Reminds me of a big capacitor for unknown purposes. Wjhen I worked helping the DOE design particle accelerators, we used to use stainless steel rebar in to eliminate any electric fields caused from ferro-magnetic material moving through/by/near the earths mag field, electricity, etc. Even a truck driving by or an elevator will create an electric field when moving through the earths magnetic field. Anyways, the peizeo-electric effect of granite naturally produces an electric feild uninterupted by ferro-magnetic materials. Very pure, I guess. What do you think the use was for the kings chamber?
