Timeline changed

The Dude abides man. Thanks for the opportunity to say that ruthless!

Before Titor, MWI was fringe science. At least it was in my original reality. Now people just assume travel to the past means the creation of a whole new universe, law of conservation of energy be damned! I think time is much more forgiving. A guitar string vibrates very rapidly, appearing to be in multiple places at once but it still has a beginning and an end. I remember my yesterday a little differently than you but we're still heading to the future together.

Actually, not just some people. Most of the smartest scientists in the world who believe in string theory. But hey, let me just take your word for it because of some faulty memories without proof. There are problems with time travel to the past that don't include branching into a whole new universe. Radiation feedback, thousands of time travelers converging on a monumental event in history, etc etc etc the list goes on.Now if you or Paladius want to explain to me how these paradoxes are avoided scientifically, in your ever so changing timeline (which would go on changing for infinity if time travel were possible in the manner you speak of) so you would be overloaded with changed in the past if this were true.

string theory is somewhat wrong. multiple universes is mostly wrong. when a timeline changes, everything along it changes as needed to make the line a plausible reality. Sometimes you can change the past by changing the future because the past needs to line up to meet the future.

and yes, is it possible that I am crazy with a brain malfunction?... you bet that is plausible. Is it plausible that not all memories in all people are erased after a timeline change? Yup. That can happen too.

I hope the changes are through now and we can ride out the future as it comes. I don;t like it when lines are altered.

My experiences this year have left me with only minor differences ... conversations family members don't remember having that I remember clearly...
I was wrong about the recent changes being minor for me. Those conversations were about a camera my father purchased last year, one month before he died. Since the change, no one else in my family remembers this purchase, there is no paper trail, and the camera does not exist in my dad's belongings. This is only the second altervu I've had that hit this close to home, and they scare me. It's no big deal that a camera is no longer around. It would be a HUGE deal if I suddenly found my wife and son missing and nobody else knew they had existed. That was a real concern when I first began having experiences like this in 2001. With this latest personal change, I have that concern again. It's probably coincidence that the timeline change targeted the month before my dad died, but maybe not. My parallel-world counterpart might be using the wealth and knowledge I gave him to prevent my father's death. Researching and developing time travel was the goal of my email to the past. I just hope he's cautious about pulling threads from the fabric of time. If he never had the scary altervus, he might be reckless. Unless it bleeds through like the disappearing camera, I'll never know if he succeeds in saving my dad. Good luck with the temporal tampering other me! Try not to destroy the multiverse in the process.

I know I am going to regret replying to this grettis of a thread but.... who do you think are the "factions" involved and why were the timelines changed? I hate it when timelines get changed - the hangover can be a trife. Oh wait, that's the cheap beer here causing that. carry on..

The timeline change is this: in this timeline, time travel backward in time does not exist.

Any time travelling posters claiming to be from another timeline also cease to exist.

Darby and Rainman's scientific debunking of time travel are well known scientific facts in reality of this timeline.

Embrace this reality and forget about the imaginery friends from the future.

If you could travel through Time, you may alter the Time-Line - many other ways exist to accomplish such...

Yes, the time cloak can also be explained as an event horizon or bubble that conceals the time machine.

Has anyone else experienced a timeline change? I have, and it changed back, which is weird. Please share some of your examples.
I experienced the time change and it seems to represent a significant divergence. I recall a televangelist preacher passed away several years ago. His name was Jim Baker.

In this timeline he is still alive for now with slight alterations along with a name that is Jim Bakker with two k's...

I think we have another case of Mandela Effect. I also thought he was dead and his name was never spelled with 2 K's. That is crazy. I googled it and you are correct. You just blew my mind.
