Sir Victor Goddard

Then i guess he might be a ghost.(if not someone mental) Because apart from his look and clothes, he was looking as normal as any of us. I don't know his point of view of course but from my point of view he was standing and speaking in front of me without any kind of strange background.

If there is just a strange figure in an otherwise modern background then it could be a ghost (if not someone in fancy dress etc.)
Or another example of the speculative time-slip phenomena? Maybe what we call a "ghost" is a person who had a time-slip from our past (its present) to its future (our present)?

Are there any reported historical events (ie a newspaper article written in 1965) of a person claiming to be from the future, confused about how they moved back in time? It would corroborate a story if say John Doe time slipped from 1995 and reported the incident. Meanwhile, in 1945, reports surface of an incident of meeting a strange person who was confused, distressed, oddly dressed, etc. I'm still looking for two matching stories.

That's unless a time slip is strictly crossing into "the other lane" of time, into some other time line, and ours is a "pure" line where this doesn't occur.

Or, time slips occur in the mind and not physically at all, and people, under an undiscovered set of conditions, are able to generate the "recording" of a past or future event akin to seeing ghosts, but at a higher level of detail and interaction. In this scenario, seeing future events is only possible if you set time as a non-linear factor.

Eh, I just want to dismiss the accounts as made up for attention, but the mystery is too interesting to pass up.

Matching stories are rare. Most entail people seeing themselves at different times, and in some cases they remember both. I am hoping for more info on a case in which a young man got a lift home one night from an older couple. When he met them a few days later they seemed to have aged a lot and they commented that he seemed just the same as when they gave him the lift several years ago. The witness has seen them again and indicates that the husband doesn't like talking about it, while the wife is convinced it was a miracle to protect the young man from danger. I have asked if he can possibly get a written account from them--if he can, that will be the first independent accounts from both ends of a time slip.

No, the accounts are not made up for attention! I am sure the majority of cases go unreported. I have come upon only 2 or 3 cases where I suspect the tale is made up, out of around 300. In Rougham, where I did my research, the vanishing house has been known about for over a century, but trying to get witnesses to come forward is very difficult.

Did this alleged time-slip episode occur in the UK? I'd be very interested to hear more details, when they become available.

No, it's an American case, and the witness sounds sincere. It's frustrating having for wait for his next meeting with the other witnesses, and of course they may not wish to get involved publicly. I will certainly keep you posted as to further developments.

Meanwhile I have just completed my final report on the Rougham affair, and here is a link. It will give you an idea how my thinking about time slips has developed:
