The outback, where a traumatised family was allegedly lifted off the ground by aliens.

It was still dark in the early hours of January 20, 1988, when the Knowles family was driving along the remote Nullarbor Plain.

The seemingly mundane trip from Perth to Melbourne quickly turned to terror when they encountered an unidentified flying object that tormented them for 90 minutes.

A large glowing object "like a big ball" chased Faye Knowles and her adult sons Patrick, Wayne and Sean down the highway, before landing on their roof and plucking them into the air.

"It apparently picked the car up off the road, shook it quite violently and forced the car back down on the road with such pressure that one of the tyres was blown," a police spokesman told media at the time.

In a state of shock, Sean Knowles put his foot on the accelerator as his mother screamed but, according to reports, their voices distorted like time was slowing down.

"I wound down the window and I felt this thing on the roof... all of this smoke stuff started coming into the car, the car was covered in black stuff," Faye Knowles told reporters after the incident.

"It was a small light and all of a sudden it became big like this, like a big ball.

"We thought we were dying, then we got out the car and we hid behind a little tree and the bushes and it couldn't find us."

The family eventually made it to Ceduna and reported the bizarre events to police who took the report seriously, given the state of the car, which was dented and had dust over it.

The story made headlines around the world with sceptics and believers alike trying to make sense of what happened on that lonely stretch of road.

Family Says It Was Chased By UFO, Police Say No Hoax

January 22, 1988

Two groups of people reported near simultaneous encounters with an unidentified flying object and police said today they were taking the reports seriously.

A family of four said their car was chased by an eggcup-shaped object along a remote stretch of outback highway, plucked from the ground and covered in ash Wednesday morning, police reported.

The crew of a tuna boat 50 miles away also said they were buzzed by an unidentified flying object minutes later, and that their voices become unintelligible as a result.

Faye Knowles, a mother of three, also told police that her speech and that of her sons changed during the encounter along the highway.

Police dismissed any suggestion of a hoax.

″We were a little bit skeptical at first,″ said Sgt. Jim Furnell of Ceduna Police in the state of South Australia. ″But after investigating, we are treating the reports very seriously.″

He said forensic scientists would examine the black powdery ash found inside and outside Mrs. Knowles’ car. She told police she was driving through the Nullabor Plain from Perth in Western Australia when she first saw a glowing object in her rear window at 2:45 a.m. Wednesday

″It apparently picked the car up off the road, shook it quite violently and forced the car back with such pressure that one of the tires was blown,″ Furnell said.

″While this was happening the family said their voices were distorted and it was as if they were talking in slow motion.″

He said the crew of the tuna boat could not have known about the Knowles’ experience when they reported a UFO sighting in the Great Australia Bight, a body of water off the Australian coast.

Keith Basterfield of UFO Research Inc., an international organization that records such sightings, said if the sighting is confirmed ″it will certainly be the most physical of encounters ever recorded in Australia.″

A spokesman at the Royal Australian Air Force base in Edinburgh in South Australia said he was not aware of any military aircraft in the area at the time.

In a different location up North West of Australia a family friend working up there in the 1970's told me he seen something move in the sky so fast he laughed. 'I wasnt a believer in UFO's, after that, well that was no plane. So now i believe".

The attack on the Knowles family lasted for 90 minutes and there are many reliable eye witness accounts and enough forensic evidence to solve this crime but nobody wants the truth and nobody can handle the truth. By most accounts the craft that attacked the family was described as being account the size of a station wagon with something hovering over it, it hovered, it had a powerful searchlight, it spewed out carbon soot and hot fumes from its engines and made a humming electrical noise and a vroom vroom noise. This sounds like a helicopter to me. During the attack the family were at one point out of the car watching the craft and Mrs Knowles drew a sketch of it. The sketch shows a craft that has a cone shaped front, a wider body which tapered down to the near. Mrs Knowles also drew a yellow globe in the middle of the wide body where a powerful light was coming from which is a searchlight. This is exactly what a helicopter would look like from underneath. It is understandable that the family couldn’t recognise the chopper because it was shining the searchlight directly towards them and the choppers rotors were also blasting them with dry desert dust, soot from the twin turbo shaft engines and a fine chemical compound which was spewing out of the cargo bay. Of special interest to me was the chemical compound which ended up all over the family and inside and outside of the car. When that compound was later tested it was found to be potassium chlorate which is an explosive compound used by terrorists to build improvised explosive devices. Another thing that interested me was the fact that the family all say the car was hoisted off the road at over 100 km/hr and the evidence backs that up. A truck who viewed the car at a roadhouse that night reported to the media that he noticed four dents on the roof and it looked as if the car had been picked up by a magnet and that is exactly what happened. The family describe in detail that they heard a loud metallic thump on the roof which was the electromagnet being attached. The static electricity from the powerful DC electromagnet surging through the cars bodywork making their hair stand on end and the high voltage estarts to melt the fuse box and wiring filling the car with a foul plastic smell. The family wind down the windows and are engulfed by carbon soot and hot fumes from the choppers engines. Mrs Knowles feels the car being lifted and reaches onto the roof and touches a soft rubber shock insulator around the magnet which she said felt like a suction pad. At that point the car is lifted and starts swinging like a pendulum on the steel cable which connected the chopper to the magnet and now the car. This swinging motion makes it impossible for the chopper to maintain lift and it loses altitude and the car hits the road and one of the rear tyres takes the full impact and explodes. The car is still travelling forward at over 100km/hr and while still attached to the chopper starts bouncing along the road and damaged the front springs and rear shock absorbers. The driver slams on the brakes and is dragged skidding down the road and eventually comes to halt. I could go on and on about this incident and over the last 30 years I have given this detailed and provable evidence the the Police, the Intelligence Service, the Politicians, the media and even a high level government investigation looking into right wing extremists and terrorists in Australia but nobody wants the hear the truth about the crime, I wonder why. It is my view that these people already know exactly what happened and also know that the family were mistakenly targeted and there is a high coverup of this incident. I also believe that people who coverup for serious crimes and terrorist attacks are just as bad as the perpetrators and therefore I have a very dim view of the powers to be who are running and ruining this great country.

This is the sketch Mrs Knowles drew of the craft that was attacking them. When they were viewing the craft it was out of control and still attached the the car by the steel cable and the electromagnet. The chopper was going down slowly tail first into the ground and the pilot was feathering the turbo engines trying to gain a level and safe position. The family could only see the outline of the craft as they are being blasted by desert dust and have a searchlight in their face. The chopper was making a hell of a noise as it is tethered to the car, so much so that their ears are ringing for fifteen minutes after this part of the attack. Maybe this explains why the family didn’t recognise the tell tale noise of the chopper as it flew away or maybe they are not telling the whole truth. Later on that day and 500 kms further along the road the family are stopped by the police and a TV crew who take them to a hospital where there are sedated for shock. They are then taken to a secret location by the TV crew and given $5000 for an exclusive to a UFO story which they later tell to a skeptical public. The family were left humiliated by this TV interview and from then on it was difficult to get the whole truth and nothing but the truth. I sometimes wonder if this action by the TV was deliberate to try to confuse and coverup the story or are these people always just a bunch of mongrels. I have also attached a photo about how the family car could be picked up and dumped in the Southern Ocean and an article about the potassium chlorate found in the car. I believe there is compelling evidence which would prove beyond reasonable doubt that the family were attacked by a paramilitary force using a helicopter equiped with an electromagnet.

I must say that I really love this site because it gives my the ability to attach articles that prove my theory that that family were attacked by a helicopter. Most of the information that is relied on to unravel this crime come for the TV interviews that were done and quite frankly I don’t believe these media commentators care about the truth. However years after the attack the family gave an in depth interview to a UFO magazine called X Factor from the UK. This article which I have attached some pages draw the timeline of the attack and what the family were really seeing and this is without the misleading interpretation from TV commentators. Patrick Knowles stated in this article , not posted, that they were driving when they notice a single light in the front of them and they thought it was going from a truck with one headlight which was driving erratically. I believe that this was in fact the helicopter hovering just above the road with one small landing light on so the pilot could maintain a safe distance off the road. As the families car was upon the chopper the crew turned on the powerful searchlight in an endeavour to night blind the driver and scare him into driving off the road at 100 km/hr hoping he would crash. If that had happened the family car would be picked up with the electromagnet and carted over to the ocean 50 kms away and the vehicle and family would be dumped into a watery grave. This is a simple plan but went terribly wrong when the driver surprising swerved onto the opposite off the road and took off. Through the bright dusty haze created by the searchlight and kicked up dry desert dust the family get a split second glimpse of the side of the chopper as they race by. Patrick said it looked like a station wagon with something over the top and other family member described it as looking like a car towing a caravan of a car towing a trailer. No other people have come forward saying that they were at this location when this happened so I assume that what they saw was in fact the side view of the chopper a few metres off the road. The chopper crew are now desperate to finish off the family once they have been seen and this begins a 90 minute cat and mouse game until the family outmanoeuvre there attackers at every turn and eventually escape to the roadhouse. The article gives a step by step factual and provable account of what they see that night but even with the compelling evidence that shows that the craft is a helicopter. The family have never ever admitted the possibility that this craft was a helicopter, and quite frankly I’m not surprised that they are scared and worried about identifying these vicious terrorists who would ,if they had the chance ,murdered the whole family. It’s a shame that the gutless government and their cohorts in the media would be party to covering up this terrible incidence and not give the family the answers they deserve.

I have already shown that there was a paramilitary force operating in Australia in 1988 who had a helicopter and specialised equipment that was most likely employed to murder the Knowles family. I know that must be hard to believe that such a force would be able to operate in Australia right under the noses of our Government and Military. However the fact is there was a well known group based here around that time and to be VERY CLEAR I’m not saying they had anything to do with the attack on the family for obvious legal reasons But I will comment on published articles. In the late 70s a German fraudster and wanted criminal staged his disappearance and it was presumed he died. However he later turned up in Australia on a false passport in the name of John Friedrich and a two day visa but he stayed and became an illegal immigrant. Many years later he popped up as Chief Executive of the National Safety Council which was a not for profit group involve in education around safety issues. Friedrich used the NSC to get loans from many banks to the amount of $300 million and began a spending spree buying 20 helicopters, planes, a ship, and other water craft, four wheel drives and employed many personal. The big problem was there was no money or anything to cover these loans but that never seemed to bother anybody. The NSC were said to have landing rights to our military bases and were said to be training with people to land on our gas and oil rigs. Friedrich was awarded the Order of Australia and the Governor General was the patron of the NSC. WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG WITH THIS ARRANGEMENT. A year after the Knowles family were attacked the NSC were taken out and all of their equipment seized. Friedrich was charge with one of the largest fraud cases in Australia and he took off sparking a National manhunt for him. He was later found a returned to face trial. This guy who nobody really knew who he was and an illegal immigrant and somebody who was a flight risk is surprising given bail and a few days before his trial is found shot dead supposedly by his own hand. The Coroner heard reports that he was a CIA or foreign agent who was using the resources of the NSC for gun running and military espionage. Evidence was also heard that he was told to kill himself or his family would be harmed. I must say that all these revelations should have triggered a massive high level investigation to find out the truth but with the death of Friedrich the story just melted away. As I said I don’t accuse Friedrich or any of the players in this drama for anything but I truly believe that the truth is out there and it doesn’t suit some very powerful and prominent people in Australia.
