That debate lasted how long today and the vote was what?

Yeah, here we are, sitting on a time bomb. I see the seeds of civil war all around me (through the torrential SoCal downpour this morning). It seems clear we are just falling apart into a state of anarchy...
meanwhile, whose military is stepping up to the challenge of the recent tsunami (while also fighting terrorists in two countries)?
I've been patient for Titor's civil war for quite awhile now. I can be even more patient. But I just don't see it. While many DEMs might be upset that they couldn't win the white house yet again, I don't see our union coming apart at the seams. In fact, I seem to recall that democracy works best when there is an equal balance of views, rather than one party having an overwhelming majority. One could claim that we are actually stronger with a nation divided approximately 50/50 than we would be if one party had all the marbles of constituents.
Yes, both houses of Congress are Republican controlled, along with the white house. Yet I will go out on a limb and be Titor-esque:
I predict that, if not in the 2006 elections, then by the 2008 elections, at least one house of Congress will flip back to the DEMs....or (heaven forbid!) a DEM wins the white house.
Our history is like that...
