theres a much easier way to keep you off of this site, and if the mods wanted to, they can make sure your permanently off of it.

just wondering, why would they want to break into my account to read my personal emails? they wrote them!! more than half my emails are from darby or rmt, so i dunno why they'd want to read their own writing. they forget what they wrote? i think not...

cmon man! speed it up! i cant stay up forever waiting on you ya know...

I know how forums work. All forum boards have a certain 'hole' in it. Banning the first two IP segments and the rest wildcards will not work.

Yup. Telnettin' Star Wars is the surefire way to go.

If you would indulge me in giving some advice and perspective...

We have people who post - hell, I'll include myself here - that are viewed as "whacked" by some, a few or most.

Let's take HdrKid as an example. I think that he/she is whacked. But The Kid is, at least, consistent for the most part and I believe that The Kid actually believes what he/she posts. I'm truly critical but I understand the POV that The Kid puts forth. For the most part The Kid is amusing even if often times annoying. That's par-for-the-course...no big deal. This is the Internet. /ttiforum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

On the other hand we have a few members who obviously don't believe a word that they post, are inconsistent and give the broad and loud impression that their motivation is to disrupt and/or destroy the forum here (and elsewhere).

How does one handle the latter troll? One simply ignores their posts. We don't have the "Ignore" option here - and Raul has made it clear the he has no intention of adding that function to the forum - but we can intentionally ignore disruptive members. And that's my unsolicited advice. Put the trolls on mental "Ignore" and they will either go away or modify their behavior. The choice becomes theirs to make. They can have fun or they can become extremely bored and fade away.

It's worked before. Most have gone away and a few others have modified their behavior.
 
Also beware of GLP what they say about them useing spyware is true. Just try keeping a thread about it going over there and it will be deleted when trin or shr get around to it.

By the way everyone, I read the entire thread, interesting to say the least and it gives me a little more insight to the things about this forum.
Like I have said in a few posts already, the dynamics of your relationships is compelling.
*Even bringing them up can seem a criticism, and I really don't mean it like that.*
It just takes an extreme amount of reading to actually "get it".
I intend to stay involved even if I seem to rattle on , I have a feeling any of you would forgive me just for the ignorance factor alone.

I have a concept that I have to be involved, while I read even at the cost of sounding stupid.
Seems a small price to pay but worth the effort. Even got to hear CigMan say the he should drop the whole conspiracy bit and that it was all cut and paste. How cute. I was beginning to wonder after a while.

Darby do you still run anomalies? and if you do why are the headlines a week out?
