What is the 4th dimension

I am going to go out on a limb here and ask if this statement can be backed up by you folks.
That TIME is the 4th dimension. Why do I think so, because the dimensions effect everything. They give objects either 1 dimension, 2 dimensions, or 3 dimensions. Now, doesn't time also effect the object? I definately think it does, and I think it is reasonable to consider time as the 4th dimension. What do you fellas think?
