well if you want the truth and not fiction. You could bring nothing back because anything you do bring back could alter the time line, and cause a paradox.Even a rock that dose not yet exist could contain some killer micro organism.Personally I really dont think man should travel through time even if we could because humans by nature are selfish and destructive.I just dont believe that it would or should ever happen.the temporal fabric is far to fragile and could tare and destroy the entire universe.Just my thought on the subject. <font color="blue"> [/COLOR]

I respect your opinion but all items would be thoroughly tested before introduced to the past. Causality violation prevention would be of utmost importance. People would go through a rigorous screening process, then through mental and physical training. Although there is no gurantee, most of the "selfish and destructive" people would be weeded out.

the thing that got me a bit was this phone call from my friend today ..that i had to be in denver colorado on the 5th of april meeting with people ..thers gonna be high ranking generals ++++ elite people and alot of army personell there to.

Just get a Robot (similar to the terminator or Megaman) from the future. A real good video tape would suffice if the robot was dangerous and you escaped alive with a few photos. /ttiforum/images/graemlins/devil.gif Some robot porn would be nice too.
 
I would bring an older version of myself back to now if I could time travel to the future. I'd then let my older self explain all about the future. The whole meeting yourself in the future, past or present and going crazy or messing up time is a really wacky theory. Meeting your future self may be initially shocking but nothing more than that would occur. Unless your future self tries to dictate to you how your future should be. That would be very annoying.

Well from my experience I can tell you the only way to get the authencity is to verify it with an outside source or 2nd or third party information. Even if it has a time stamp it still has to have some outside source to verify it. The picture or media by itself is not scientific proof enough. It can personally make someone believe but to be truely accepted it needs a outside source of verification. The media can be verified as not having any flaws but that would be the only proof. Sometimes that is not enough. And, with my methods of producing media it can be called computer generated even it it looks extremely real. So, a outside source of verification is needed.

I am questioning whether a causality violation would work itself in as part of the accepted timeline. Also, the problem with time travel information I have found that the information can not be verified if it is from the future until it happens or until the event gets close to happening. If it is from the past then some proof must still exist to verify it.

I'm probably going to study on time travel and phyics in order to create the perfect time machine for this era since I'm going to build my research engineering facility in Sedona, Arizona after I graduate from probably a decade or two of college. Meanwhile, I took the break from time travel research because of my hamster and other things that happened in my life.

There is almost nothing. Almost everything can be explained away. Pictures and videos can be altered. well....perhaps an extinct species of something but even then someone will say oh it survived somehow. Bringing back something from the far future may be especially if it does not exist
yet or the tech is not possible yet. Even a hot smoking time machine will be doubted even if touched...perhaps the only way is an actual ride or to see someone appear or disappear in the machine. hmmm even then the person may assume he was somehow tricked. lol.

Then again it depends on who you are presenting these things to.
If it is an engineer who built the time machine or someone involved in the program bringing back anything will be proof because they know the machine works where if it is someone like you on the internet that does not know the time traveler personally there will be nothing to satisfy your desire for proof. It all depends on who is receiving the info or item. Proof to one person will not be proof to another.

Why would it be announced?

For example...you hear about UFO encounters, they are all over the internet but do you necessarily believe them?
