I don't know what you do in your time but when we have a conversation in my time, at the end of every sentence we don't say "respond". we just carry on the conversation

Does anyone believe in the Nostradamus predictions any more? Does anyone subscribe to the latest possible "according to the liturgy" dating system which would put his predictions as beginning circa 2002 and unfolding through 2012 to 2028?

Unfortunately yes. The thing is, the predictions were so vague that they can be crowbarred into meaning pretty much anything. Plus, there's lots of very bad translations of the quatrains out there, and some completely made-up ones.

I agree with Skepdic on the subject.

I think that translations that are less forced make more sense, and then of course they are less likely to be fulfilled by events of our own time...

I was intrigued by the "paymaster king" translation rather than "king of terror" for the infamous 1999 quatrain, leaving the only even remotely likely meaning the obscure visit of Clinton to New Zealand to allow China into the WTO - resuscitating China's economy and with it the "King of the Mongols"? Whatever. I think it would be easier to use actual common sense and logic to predict the future, personally.

I am prepared to skeptically look at anything, open-minded, but there has to be a balance that avoids credulity on the left and hostile super-skepticism on the right...
 
To answer your request...my predictions of the future....
1. An asteroid does strike the Earth. It is near the planet now, but un-noticed, hidden behind something else. It will shift its movement by what I do not know and plunge to Earth. It will break up before hitting Earth ( possible attempt to stop it ) and two pieces hit western U.S., one hits India, the smaller pieces are scattered across the same line of entry.

Time Frame: Unknown, best guess...next five years.

2. Pole Shift. Earth reverses in its postion, North rotating to South. Date of Occurance, 12-21-2012..or there abouts. The moon is moving away from Earth 1 inch per year. The effects of this drift is already being seen on the planet. As it moves further away, and other celestial events occur, this will be result in the shift. Might even be result of asteroid strike.

This Saturday June 10,2004 a significant earthquake will occur in the middle east. Within the next two weeks Osama Bin Laden's body will be found amongst the rubble.

I hope that this eases the minds of those that worry about him.
 
I am really sorry it was very early when I made that post. I DID mean July 10, 2004. Notice I did say THIS coming Saturday. I apologize for the mistake.
