Time Travel Themed drinks?

heidih

Temporal Novice
Hey, all! I'm going to have a time travel themed party or two to celebrate my show, and i'm wondering if anyone here knows of any or can think of any time travel themed cocktails? if so, would you mind if i posted the entries on a blog (giving you credit, of course, and a link if you like!) for perusal and voting?

Let me know if that's cool, and let me know if you have any recipes! I'm so glad i found this site /ttiforum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

:D Tang + vodka + space screwdriver :D

I love it. :D

What would a Titor on the Rocks involve? /ttiforum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Heidi,

Let's make a Sanguina de Titor.

Titor's best friends, allies and favorite trading partners were the Russians. His email address was [email protected]. His favorite fruit was oranges. The Russians nuked the planet and killed 3 billion people.

Sanguinas are blood oranges. It also loosely means "bloody" in Spanish. So we'll use the juice of a blood orange. Because the Russians were his allies we'll use Stolichnaya vodka. Serve on-the-rocks. Add green, preferably glass, swizzle stick. No garnish.

Just mix a Stoli screwdriver using the blood orange juice.

The blood orange juice represents the blood of the 3 billion dead.

The Stoli celebrates Titor's friends and allies, the Russians, who killed the 3 billion.

On-the-rocks represents nuking the world back into the stone age.

The green glass swizzle stick represents the #1 commodity that Titor's Brave New USA would trade with their Russian trading partners - green nuclear glass.

No garnish because the world is a rather barren place after Titor's War.

Heidi,

My pleasure. And it's quite OK to post the mixological "wonder" there.

Great job on the graphic for the drink on your blog.

I also liked Bret's contribution "The Wormhole" - tequila (the worm) and Sambuco (the hole).

So I guess "Titor on the Rocks" didn't make your cut? /ttiforum/images/graemlins/mad.gif

I'm taking my ball and going home! /ttiforum/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

The Titor on the Rocks is already a drink with a different name! /ttiforum/images/graemlins/smile.gif i can't semi-officially attempt to post an old drink with a new name without an explanation of why the old drink should be renamed or without some type of flair to the recipe! /ttiforum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

(doesn't mean i can't enjoy a few of them the next time i go to the club, though. /ttiforum/images/graemlins/smile.gif )

ps. /ttiforum/images/graemlins/smile.gif i figured you were just teasing me TitorTime, but i also thought that, as a noob here, it was best to hedge my bets! /ttiforum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

We are on the same noob level. /ttiforum/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I only have one more post than you on this board. :D

lets not forget the classic "Mind Eraser". (equal parts of vodka, coffee liquir -kahlua, and tonic water)

Also, why not include an "1876". Simple straight up whiskey, cause that's all they had back then.

Paladius, i totally lol'd. :D

You're up on the blog! Let me know if that's not okay so I can respectfully remove you!

Titortime -- we'll grow together!

Recall15, thanks for the links, i was wondering about all that. /ttiforum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Titorite, you will make me the envy of all of my bohemian buddies! Do you know what kind of status I'll have as the one songwriter among my friends who can brew absinthe?! It'll be fin-de-siecle France all over again! /ttiforum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

You know, maybe you all should make an addition to your name around here -- The Time Travel and Mixology Institute? /ttiforum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

My pleasure. Just remember to go easy on the green stuff. Its a very special drink and as far as mind alterents go, well you know.... IF one lacks the constitution one should stay out of the kitchen... But do have fun :D
