I am not a "famous comedian". How many other people are able to tell the difference between the way this person talks and the way that anyone with a modicum of intelligence or scientific knowledge talks?
I've been working for a long time on this, and by publishing books, much of the important research that will lead to the development of the machine is already out there and being reviewed by peers. Do you think that a time machine just makes itself?
When I was dropped back off in my past, it was like none of the time travel had ever happened. I know that it did, and it's taken me a long time to remember decades of memories and contextualize them. Ever hear of the Blinovitch Limitation Effect? It might be fictional but it's definitely real - brainwaves tend to cross when time travelers are in the same place and the same time.
Here's some science for the people who have really been following my story and who have actually considered what the science behind this could be.
Brain waves are how we perceive the world around us, but they are the world around us, too. Different frequencies of brain wave rhythms each correspond to different processing abilities in humans within the framework of a 12-dimensional, not 11-dimensional, string theory. Time has often been called the "fourth dimension" because it is. The "fifth dimension" is space.
Delta Waves - 0.5 Hz - 4 Hz
Theta Waves - 4 Hz - 8 Hz
Alpha Waves - 8 Hz - 12 Hz
Beta Waves - 12 Hz - 30 Hz
Gamma Waves - 30 Hz - 100 Hz
Now, each of these ranges correspond to different regions of brain function, and all are presently defined by modern science. Delta Waves correspond with base level functioning, Theta Waves with thought, Alpha Waves with physical movement in the 3-dimensional world, Beta Waves with perception of the passage of time. Gamma waves are often broken out into the Gamma range and hyper-Gamma range, but consider them to govern perception of both spatial reasoning and the outer limits of self - the soul, so to speak.
Hertz frequencies are how the machine works, by navigating through multi-dimensional coordinates that are essentially data bursts of different frequency ranges. The navigation system itself isn't that much different than a dial that literally points the machine where you want it to go. Since there's no physical movement of the machine in travel and the car doesn't move either, you don't even really have to worry about the movement in any dimension other than the fourth one. Thankfully, natural gravitational forces generally keep the vehicle in place, physically.
We mostly traveled to places where we knew that there would be roads in the past or guessed that there would be roads in the future at. We were usually correct, and would usually travel in a way that would be targeted to a specific place. The machine functions by generating an electromagnetic field that transitions from the Beta Wave range, the fourth dimension, from around 16 Hz to the Gamma Wave range, to around 36 Hz. It's that range at which the field both powers up and "bursts" like a soap bubble, and at which point the transportation to the past or future occurs. The C204 isn't capable of translocating itself through physical space - it only moves forward and backward through time. It would be possible, and is, in the later C260, to move along the surface of the Earth as 3-dimensional transmaterialization was perfected in 2189.
Many-Worlds Interpretation isn't fantasy. It is a concept in quantum mechanics. P
roposed by physicist Hugh Everett in 1957. Personally, I wouldn't mind if my wife that may not even know I exist is married to someone else. Many-World's divergences are described through percentages, meaning that a spectrum of reality emerges with the manipulation of time and space throughout the universe. In other words, flux capacitor doesn't make time travel possible, eliminating paradoxes does. The thing is, that TT_0 eliminated paradoxes. No other explanation of time has done that. Not even Stephen Hawking accomplished that. Not even Hollywood has done that yet. But some guy in a chat room in the early days of the internet did? Mr. Random_0? That is what makes this different. Not elaborate conspiracies involving masked men in dark vans. I know that the CIA is all over the place spreading disinformation. So, even if I did believe you, I can't believe you. That is the liar paradox. A true paradox that has no solution.
Unfortunately, that is also the only way to determine "the real." If a paradox exists in someone's story about time travel because they haven't figured out the reasoning and logic that exists. Then they aren't legit.
It is a fantasy in quantum mechanics. Just because someone proposed something doesn't make it real.
That sort of thinking shows that you don't have the morality for either time travel nor marriage, apparently.
I'm happy to explain how paradoxes are eliminated - the long and arduous work of tracking down errant time travelers with time-sensitive technology and ensuring that their actions in the past aren't criminal. A time machine is basically like a car that can also go to yesterday. If you're already there yesterday, you might run into yourself.
Lets start with the grandfather paradox. You can try going into the past and killing your own grandparent before your parent is born, but one of a few things could happen. First - you might find out, hopefully not like Fry did, that your grandparent might not be your grandparent. Alternatively, you might be stopped by the authorities for trying to murder someone because you got caught. Potentially, you might succeed. If that happens - from your perspective, you've failed, because the TVA resets physical reality to what it's supposed to be, with the compensatory self-defense knowledge that person now has that someone has been trying to kill them from the future.
Now the bootstrap paradox is an interesting one. The Universe itself is a bootstrap paradox as natural time travel occurs frequently and usually in people's heads. It's called memory and getting an idea that seems like it will work. That concept might seem a bit difficult to comprehend, because most people are familiar with the concept regarding time traveling into the past and giving yourself something that would allow you to time travel into the past in the first place. What generally occurs is that the time travel "windows" space themselves out so that you can't actually go back to the right time at the right moment and, if you do, additional time travel tends to balance it out so that the effect on the past is relatively minimal - even if you give yourself technology from the future, by the time you get to that future, you're going to have to e-mail DARPA and ARIA yourself and get the project kickstarted.
