The 60's

Temporal Novice
The 60\'s

I have been time traverling for over 7 years and am currently traverling back to 1967. I started in in 2000 when i found a kind of portal near where i live, i since have found out it's a vortex.
When i first travelled back in 2000 it was 1960 and since then i have got married and had a child.
I have become a songwritetr and penned a few songs for well named artists of the time, however in 1964, i was cought out and was sent to prison for forgery for 5 months.
At the moment everything is quite colourfull and london is swinging.
I make a regualr trip back to my wife several times a week, when i'm not there i have to make regualr excusses, this is a hard thing to do.

My wife Emily is not much older than i and my son who's 3 is great.
I currently live in south London in 1967.
I must go know as i need to get back, took me ages to find a time traverling forum like this, i hope you will all make me welcome, when i return.

Notice any differences. And what do your prefer.

Hi Ronald, great hearing from you this
site was getting quite for a while.
Just two questions.

1. Which era do you like better 2007
or 67 and why? 40 years is a long time.

2. Do you notice any historical difference
in 1967 with respect to what we know from
2007?

Thx.

Re: The 60\'s

Hello All,
I had to come back, so i thought i would reply to all your questions.
I am 32 years old and prefer 1967 alot better, but as this is time
any day could be my last if the vortex shuts, for any unknown reason.
So i have to be carefull, as i travel back to London 1967 i would
also find this incredibly hard to travel to Junction City.
Basically in the current state of 2007 i arrive in the exact same area but in 1967.
A lot has changed, the rise of more houses and buissness expansion, but overall
the cultures and people's attitudes are so more relaxed there, as well as transport
so diffrent, cheap adn affordable.
I will be going back tonight as i have got a piano to play at a function in Kessington.
Speak soon.

Ronald

What is the divergence.

So what are the differences between
67' and 2007 with respect to the
historic account? We call this
divergence.

Re: The 60\'s

Ronald,

You live in London in 1967 and you've never heard news reports about Junction City? /ttiforum/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Re: The 60\'s

Just got back
Been hectic i must say.
Operation Junction City, is that what we are referring too.
We haven't heard much here really, it's more of an American thing, it happend in Febuary,
so it's old news and not much talk about it.
Besides i hassen to add i dont really have time to delve in to a great deal of news,
i have little time, what with the child and writing music.
I catch news when i can, mainly british news.

I hasen to add i did not claim to have never heard of news reports about Junction City, i said it would be impossible to travel to the place of conflict.

Re: The 60\'s

what time machine do you use to use the Vortex?? are you useing the HDR unit?? write back.. /ttiforum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: The 60\'s

Hello,
I will be going away for the weekend, so i won't be around.
On a previous post which i now can't find, someone stated they wanted me to show them or prove i go back in time.
What sort of proof do you require?

I must say you all seem to be very friendly and have made me very welcome since i joined

Re: The 60\'s

Ronald,

You see, my friend, you ran up against the problem with Wiki. The year 1967 came and went while the staff were either "parents future dream" or they were wearing diapers. They didn't live the news. When they made the references on their pages they didn't know anything about the "place" refered to and only had 40 year old information to draw upon. They simply condensed the news into a couple of paragraphs.

I assure you that Junction City was rather big news in the UK - considering that the UK overtly had Commonwealth forces in country, i.e. Vietnam. The year 1967 was a real hot year for Europe - France and England particularly. Riots, etc.

Operation Junction City was a 10 week battle involving multiple whole divisions on both sides. It also involved the second largest parachue infantry landing of troops in history. Only Operation Market-Garden in WWII involved more parachute infantry drops. It was very much a part of the daily news worldwide in 1967, espacially operations in and around Firebase Gold. It marked the beginning of the real war in Vietnam.

And you had no clue because you, typically, relied on Wiki and Google searches.

Re: The 60\'s

The answer to that is, i don't need to rely on Wiki or Google.
The fact i have see the news in 1967, it's just like anyone that travels back, it's hard to prove,
if anyone says stuff, there always gonna be twathed on the fact they replied on an internet source.

As i stated in my other post i on't read much news and i can assure you Junction City is not the biggest talking subject.
Perhaps i should go to the other forum, it's an british run one and on there they beleieve me, they are siply
not talking about bloody Junction City, there's more to life.
I was warned that you lot were disbeleivers, strange that you are all in to time travel really.

Fake time travelers admit there wrongs, i can't, lets just say you have pushed away proberly you real first tim traverler.

A photo of the portal will be nice.

But I have an even better idea:

Just enter the portal from the opposite side. You should materialize in May 2047. Once in 2047, find a library and look for the newspaper archives. Then, fetch the headline of May 13, 2007 of the New York Times.

Re: The 60\'s

Well at least you cleared up our confusion. You're "siply"a "british proberly you real tim traverler" and not a "British time traveler". Thanks for the clarification.

Actually, that's "British time traveller" - with a double 'l'. That's how they write the word "traveler" in the UK.

Re: The 60\'s

You lot are funny.
So how are we all.
I thought i would leave you all to your own devices and let this thread calm down.

Now it has, let me state that i am a time travler and i am currently living in the 1967.
I know that you are all dis-belivers but really you should give me a chance to show you all that i am a real time travler.

Please feel free to answer any questions, mainly to the British side of things, of main big American antidotes.
