There are many companies out there that work on numerous secret projects, be it for private enterprise, or the US GVT.
The Co. that I believe to have their hands deeper involved in more of these secret technological research projects with the exception of the nations dept. of energy, is a Co. called "EG&E". I would not be suprised at all to discover in the near, but not so distant future, that this company shows up on major news articles demonstrating their involvement with current Time~Travel reasearch & development, i.e. the very first official announcement of a developed

EG&G was founded by Harold E. Edgerton, Kenneth J. Germeshausen and Herbert E. Grier in 1947 as Edgerton, Germeshausen and Grier, Inc. and today bears their initials. In 1931, Edgerton and Germeshausen had formed a partnership to study high-speed photographic and stroboscopic techniques and their applications. Mr. Grier joined them in 1934. During World War II the Government's Manhattan Project made use of Edgerton's discoveries to photograph atomic explosions; it was a natural evolution that the company would support the Atomic Energy Commission in its weapons research and development after the war. This work for the Commission provided the historic foundation to the Company's present-day technology base and in 1947 EG&G was incorporated.
Today, EG&G is a highly diversified company with over a half billion dollars in revenue and more than 4200 employees specializing in technology goods and services for a wide array of customers.
Over fifty years ago, when we opened for business, we focused almost exclusively on weapons system design and analysis. Then, as now, we specialized in measuring natural phenomena and tracking the performance of new, advanced systems, making it possible for our customers to achieve cost, process, and management efficiencies. EG&G serves a multitude of clients, including the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the Department of Energy, Department of Defense, Department of Treasury, Department of Transportation, Defense Logistics Agency, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
We do things that make a measurable difference in the world from our worldclass asset management capabilities to the x-ray scanning systems that provide security at airports and other sites around the world. EG&G's history of innovation and excellence is the keystone of our past accomplishments and the key to the success of our future.
