My time travel experiences

The year I'm from I can't remember exactly. I didn't start recording experiences until two months following my first travel. In that time my mind was not ready to "take in" everything I witnessed and learned. I was on the brink of suicide, I was an insomniac; I had a hard time distuingishing dreams from reality. Explaining in words is hard, for I am not a journalist. I know I was born in 1997. My name is Ryan Cokely. After my first travel, I didn't know where (or I should say "when") I was. Right now I'm trapped in 2005. I happen to be in "your 2005" at the moment. I can travel, however, to "different 2005s". I will stay in the current 2005 to reclaim my sanity and to have a hold on reality for as long as I feel neccassary. I will explain it in the way my brain interprets it best. It seems I'm caught on a "horizontal" line so to speak. The horizontal line I'm on happens to be 2005. I got here by travelling "down" on the "vertical" line. The vertical line is a shift in actual years. IE. 2113 down to year 2005. The horizontal and vertical lines are endless. The horizontal line hols the infinite 2005s that I can travel too. What do I mean by infinite 2005s? Every decision made subsiquently produces a "new" 2005. If I please, I can be sent to a parallel universe with a trivial difference as small as me posting this on a different forum. I am in sense moving higher on the vertical line still at the same rate as the earth's rate of time second by second, day by day, year by year, but no faster or slower at the moment. So if I choose to switch parallel universes I might come to this forum and see no post by me tommorow. On the other hand, I might come here tommorow in a different universe, see my post, but also realize that I chose a different user name.

2 weeks ago I left a parallel universe in which all of Europe was Germany! During World War II in that universe no one aided Europe from Hitlers reign. There is a universe for all possible outcomes of any situation of any decision. It is funny how only life forms are capable of creating these parallel universes simply because life forms don't have a constant unchanging "inertia" if you will as does most everything in the arbitrary "beginnig" universe.

I will admit I am afraid to move on to the next Universe spectra on my "horizontal line". I have been lucky so far, and I enjoy this parallel more than any other. I'm terrified that I will end up in a world of oblivion!

Sounds interesting, I take it you speak german well enough not to be noticed. Any chance you could bring a newspaper with you?
 
Well considering I'm 46 years old that is a 365-day year. I came from about the year 2046. You see in 2020 there was a great meteor collision with the earth. The meteor fortunately struck the ice caps of the south pole leaving a giant ice crater visible from space. This collision caused the earth to slow it's rotation by about 45 minutes per day, meaning about every 32 years that passes, still counting a year as 365 days instead of 354 there is one extra revolution that wasn't counted. In turn I left 2046 but it was really about half way through year 2047. Now for the other questions. When I left I was one of many who were departing into a time traveling journey. It was becoming more commonplace. I came from a rich family. My parents died I inhereted their estate, and my facination with time travel caused me to cash in my life savings, ditch my life and take this journey. I use a what one might call a "time capsule" to travel. The main controls has a computer with four dimentional cooridinances. You have your veritcal and horizontal axis's and in between is the "coding" which codes the outcomes/decisions of each parallel. The coding is in short just like a computer programmers code, explaining everything from what words are on page 254 in any book. There are few gifted individuals whom have learned and interpreted about 2% of this "code". If they were here with me today they could show me how to get back to my world by configuring the code to go to right part of the parallel grid. Excuse my choice of wording, I'm just a commoner not a scientist. I speak only of what I've been taught. I'm ignorant about 95% of the subject.

I would like to challenge this. A meteor hitting with a large enough impact to slow down the rotation of the earth would have to be very large, it would also not come in at an angle that would put it striking the south pole. In fact had you said North pole I would have believed it, but considering the angle, rotation of the earth, the rate at which we circle the sun, a south pole impact is highly unlikely.
 
As I said I am NO scientist and I'm not really here to prove anything, I'm mostly here out of curiousity to the level of knowledge some time travel "gurus" have today, and thought it might be interesting to those who are.

"Unlikely" is a very vague word. It is highly unlikely for me to flip a coin 15 times in a row and get heads every toss. Just as it is hightly unlikely for a large meteor to earth altogether is it not. I will also contradict your statement, when you say "considering the angle, rotation of the earth, the rate at which we circle the sun, a south pole impact is highly unlikely" for the meteor was the object that collided into the earth, the earth didn't collide into the meteor, so the movement of the earth is irrelevant. The meteor was on it's own path of inertia, it just so happened it's path was on target to the earth's relative "south". You are basically saying that if the meteor was coming from the bottom of the earth it should hit a different location because of the earth's movement? The earth isn't really on an "angle" it is just a percieved angle relative to our solar system and more importantley our sun.

I have been reading up on the recent news of the "past" so to speak. I have read about the Tsunami that hit "recently" The tsunami itself actually changed the rotation of the earth also, by a mere 2 seconds. This 2 seconds is already making scientists recaluculat the leap year. Look it up yourself. So you're saying a large meteor traveling at a very high velocity would not effect the earth's rotation, but on the other hand a large earthquake can? You will see in about a fifth of a century that you are wrong. That is unless this parallel actually stops the meteor. Chances are I'm the only time traveller who will EVER visit this parallel considering there are INFINITE parallels, the chances of landing here are astronomical. In turn I'm guessing the only for-warning you will get of the meteor is from me. Taken that you all think I'm nuts, I'm sure there will be no variables from this parallel to the next and so on, in the outcome of the meteor striking the earth. By the way, if I recall the only casualties from the meteor was some scientists and some wild life. Nothing much to worry about! It had no effect on my life, besides making me read A LOT on the subject and news.

We have another supposed time traveller here, however this guy is just talking to the past. is his description so far accurate? can you tell us when the pope dies? can you tell us when the war starts if there is a war? How accurate was John titor, all the standard questions since you are claiming to be a time traveler.

so you also believe in infinite universes, the mwi theory. tell us how your time machine works. how did you get here, why did you come here, whats your purpose, whats the point of posting your story on the boards here?

You say that you are not here to prove anything but a little bit of proof would make it a lot more interesting and enjoyable.

Photo’s of places?, equipment?, newspapers from other timelines?

I live in Australia, can you tell me how an impact that has altered this planets rotation to that degree, has affected my Land of Oz in your timeline?

I’m fascinated about this “Germany Won The War” timeline, can you give more details?

The pope died when I was a young boy.
By war do you mean a third world war? If so, no the prophecy you all believe in of there being a third world war never occured.

As I said before I am not a scientist I really don't know how this capsule works, I paid nearly 3 million dollars to be here. I was under the care and supervision of the researchers and founders of the capsule. They taught me the basics of programming the code to let me travel. I have no purpose besides a fascination with time travel. I had an unrefutable wanderlust for it. The rest is answered in my above posts.

As I said once I leave the parallel I won't be able to come back, because I won't know the code. won't be leaving soon anyways, I need to regain complete sanity before I can take in what I will see next. So I can show you no proof unfortunatley. By substituting a few wrong letters from the code and travelling to a new parallel, I may land myself in a nuclear ice age where my capsule won't work anymore or something similarly disastrous. Soon I will search aid in this timeline for someone who could help me decode enough to get me back to something similar to my own time.

No landmass was effected by the meteor besides Antarctica.
I was in the parallel briefly where Germany won the war in the previous years. I recall there being a different president, I probably seized to exist along with you and anyone you know. This I can't tell for sure. You guys make it seem as if I travelled the world in my capsule *laughs* it isn't an actual land traveling device or air traveling for that matter, only time. I simply just visit the nearest library and use their computers and books for references. Anything I find out about the new timelines is internet based.

I came to 2005 that's it. Been stuck here. I exist as a time traveller only in the dimension I currently am in. I could but haven't visited myself as an 8 yr old child but haven't from lack of money for transportation and just a plain fear of actually seeing myself.
