there is no way to disprove this story. In some of John Titors postings, he explained about multiple universes or "worldlines". Lets say there is someone named Bob. In one worldline Bob could be an architect that lives in florida. And in another he could be in a band in California. So you cant say that "if there is not a civil war in 2005 then John Titor is obviously making this up." Because how do you know that the 2005 civil war will even take place in our worldline? He also mentioned that he has noticed differences in worldlines such as a different team winning the superbowl or a different news report on a certain day. It is a hard concept to grasp but just think of the movie "The One" with jet li. Just think about it to understand worldlines, not as someone trying to become the most powerful being. In that movie jet li travels through different worldlines to kill himself. And hes way different in each one.

You can certainly disprove elements of it. Probably the most easily disproven is the "bending laser" photo. It simply doesn't conform to the laws of physics at all.

This message from a colonel in the future is saying timtravel is real the machines are real, but everything timtraveler_0 and timetraveler_1 have said about the civil war and world war 3 is false and that they will be arrested in their time for what they have done?. /ttiforum/images/graemlins/confused.gif

earlier: Oh yeah the president even said himself that they are not going to suspend the elections(not really saying much).
 
Many people believe this whole John Titor thing to be a hoax.

And the rest don't know what they believe.

One thing I know is that if that message you just posted is real than expect the worse. They said that they want to fix this timeline to make it the way it should be.

Which explains them saying that the civil war and WW3 are a hoax.

Possibility #1

John and his friend both came through the machine in the beginning. Because they didn't like their future. So they came back here to warn us. But by acting like they don't care whether we act or not. That could explain why John Titor said so much on these forums...

Then John and his friend went back to find out that nothing changed. Though this possibility does have its flaws...

Whatever the case, the only people we can believe are ourselves.
 
couldn't it be the other way around and they were actually making our timeline worse than it was before and seriously messing it up by telling us all the things about those events that the colonel guy said were not true. That could also explain why that was written so they could fix our timeline from that stuff they say he made up about the civil war and world war 3. What im trying to say is that titor may have traveled back in time, but to lie about his future. Why I don't know. He did say that only the civil war and world war 3 were made up, not the other things john said. I really wish I could just get on with life without having to worry about a civil war and world war 3 happening while im still alive and that those event will never happen.

Worrying about the future, or what someone told you the future would be, is like worrying about whether you will get an "A" on tomorrow's math test. You are in ultimate control. So just make it happen.
 
Just a thought here, but what if some bored government workers created this whole thing. If they
used the extra time on their hands to build up this hoax. Perhaps they had access to some documents that allowed them to create a somewhat plausible story of a John Titor.

Depending on the agency they may have worked for, it may have had an effect on attempts to trace from where it came by "investigators". I imagine that when this got out of hand, beyond the expectations of the creators, perhaps the whole affair came to the attention of their superiors.

And if it was sourced from within a government agency, I would guess they would want to stop it and prevent any disclosure as to where the thing started, especially if it brought embarrasment to the government at this time.

Was just playing around to see if any government sites had initials like T.J. or J.T., put in rotit to search engine, but came up with stuff in language I couldn't read.

allow me 2 say something:

when u time travel u dun need a time machine. that is the reason why time travelers can only be observers in the "new" worldline. that is why my comrades,so far no "traveler" can affect the past and the future.errr...well, maybe a minority of these travelers can. but they hav to know where to look for these apparatus in the "past" to help them "materialise" their material body in the "new" worldline.because during time travel, they cannot bring any material things along.

but then again, that would require an energy source the size of a few power stations. no time travelers have so far managed to do it.that is "materialise" in the "time" they traveled to.

dunno why i tell u guys but something in my brain tells me to cos many of us are laughing at u guys right now /ttiforum/images/graemlins/devil.gif.

Someone told me about this John Titor thing today. It's a hoax.

Now, the second thing...

I have now seen two postings about this military post. It was copied in this topic and was originally posted in another. People are talking about that post as being true when at the end of the post it is stated that it's not true.

...I'm not even going to tell you what time period I'm from.
