Hi y'all,
I'm the guy who met up with the user called 'ichtion' (who claimed time travel a few weeks ago on this forum). I helped him around the internet and got him the book he wanted.
PS. After reading the previous thread (made by ichtion) I find it kind of funny how you accuse him of tryin to sell the book he mentioned. For crying out loud, that book is useless to anyone except him. Why on Earth would he want anyone to buy that crap? Have any of you even looked in it (Amazon allows you to "look inside"). It's just meaningless from start to finish.
Anyway now that he's gone I feel like it's my moral obligation (duty?) to tell you some of what he told me about his time machine and the future. Basically it all runs down to this:
He made many other interesting predictions/thoughts a day before he left as we had a last cup of coffee together to thank me for helping him out.
Oh, and he actually made good on his promise to alter past internet history: he manipulated historic google data to make a data spike for the word "ichtion" near the beginning of google recording history. You can just go on google trends and see for yourself. Here is a link: https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=all&q=ichtion
He made it specifically so that there are no google searches for this term around this time (which is technically impossible if you have a trending data), and in a distributed way so the data is spiked from all over the world. So you need to select "The World" when going to google trends.
That is all. I'm not surprised not many believed him here, after all the most believable stories are the less believed ones.
All right dudes, I'm not in the mood for writing a novel here, I'm off

Anyway now that he's gone I feel like it's my moral obligation (duty?) to tell you some of what he told me about his time machine and the future. Basically it all runs down to this:
- He came in a very small, horizontal capsule-like object. That object was stored in a cave next to the city we met in (closed to the public). His "frond" or whatever chose this cave because it's, and I quote, "a great place to ensure unobstructed travel in time".
- The traveller is placed into the capsule in a fetal position, with the head down. The fetal position is enforced by a W-shaped seat, with handles on both sides to ensure the stabiltiy of the passenger.
- No metallic objeccts are allowed inside the capsule. He came with a bare minimum to survive during the time he searched for the book.
- There was a way he could communicate with his "employer" using some sort of compartment inside the capsule, like a glove box, wherein he would place a message written down on paper, close the box, open it again and the response would be already inside it.
He made many other interesting predictions/thoughts a day before he left as we had a last cup of coffee together to thank me for helping him out.
