I'm the guy who met with 'ichtion'

Hi y'all,

I'm the guy who met up with the user called 'ichtion' (who claimed time travel a few weeks ago on this forum). I helped him around the internet and got him the book he wanted.

PS. After reading the previous thread (made by ichtion) I find it kind of funny how you accuse him of tryin to sell the book he mentioned. For crying out loud, that book is useless to anyone except him. Why on Earth would he want anyone to buy that crap? Have any of you even looked in it (Amazon allows you to "look inside"). It's just meaningless from start to finish.

Anyway now that he's gone I feel like it's my moral obligation (duty?) to tell you some of what he told me about his time machine and the future. Basically it all runs down to this:

  • He came in a very small, horizontal capsule-like object. That object was stored in a cave next to the city we met in (closed to the public). His "frond" or whatever chose this cave because it's, and I quote, "a great place to ensure unobstructed travel in time".

  • The traveller is placed into the capsule in a fetal position, with the head down. The fetal position is enforced by a W-shaped seat, with handles on both sides to ensure the stabiltiy of the passenger.

  • No metallic objeccts are allowed inside the capsule. He came with a bare minimum to survive during the time he searched for the book.

  • There was a way he could communicate with his "employer" using some sort of compartment inside the capsule, like a glove box, wherein he would place a message written down on paper, close the box, open it again and the response would be already inside it.

He made many other interesting predictions/thoughts a day before he left as we had a last cup of coffee together to thank me for helping him out.

Oh, and he actually made good on his promise to alter past internet history: he manipulated historic google data to make a data spike for the word "ichtion" near the beginning of google recording history. You can just go on google trends and see for yourself. Here is a link: https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=all&q=ichtion

He made it specifically so that there are no google searches for this term around this time (which is technically impossible if you have a trending data), and in a distributed way so the data is spiked from all over the world. So you need to select "The World" when going to google trends.

That is all. I'm not surprised not many believed him here, after all the most believable stories are the less believed ones.

All right dudes, I'm not in the mood for writing a novel here, I'm off

The Google Trends reference doesn't really mean anything JayJay.   IF there had been a link posted to Google Trends that showed no spike prior to your posting of the link, then maybe it might have some merit.   Saying that it was altered and posting the graph after the claim is made doesn't prove anything.

Someone well versed in maths might know what to do with this. Anyway I'm aware that some people will somehow still (?) put this off as some hoax, and my purpose is not to convince everybody. Do what you will with all this. In the meantime my fingers are gettign sore from all this typing so I'm off.

I looked around for a mispelling that also had a spike in the past. Basically the mispelling search may have came before selecting a username
And how exactly was there a "spike" then? A bunch of people all mis-spelled something (what word exactly by the way?) on one single day that constitute almost 100 percent of search volume of all time for that word?

Whatever you want to believe.

I guess it makes sense to find "rational" explanations to the spike, after all "time travel" is not very believable, I get it (although, this is the Time Travel Insitute). On the other hand you place far too much confidence in my computer abilities ?

I mean, jeezus, manipulate (historic) data of one of the world's most secure companies ever to exist, by a dude in a time travel forum... That's far fetched even by my standards
I know a time traveler who can manipulate historical data in google trends too.   Look at the word "Fubar".  He followed through on his promise to manipulate a word that never reached 100, and then manipulated the historical data.   Here is the proof :
...

Haha, what? All search terms reach 100. That percentage does not represent the amount of searches to that term vs. other terms. It represents search volume for that term.
All search terms reach 100...? Interesting.

Is this time traveler still here? is it possible to communicate with him? and also can he move by moving from state to state? in any case, if you can communicate with him, would you ask him, as proof, who will be miss italia 2020? thank you

i posted 25 questions for him today... any answer??

No, he's gone since more than a week. He got what he came for then he left (looks at his other thread).

Sorry but I can't see your 25 questions. Where did you post them?
hello, thanks for your answer .. I had posted the questions in this forum but I think the amdin have moved them. here is the link:
https://timetravel.institute/topic/8677-25-questions-about-hypothetical-journeys-in-the-past/

however, in reality they are questions for time travelers, even if I have already read that you have given some answers, through him. what to say ... hopefully good !! Thanks again!
I will attempt to answer those questions to the best of my knowledge following the conversations I had with 'ichtion'. It might take some time though to go through all 25 questions, I will let you know

1: when, more or less, will the pandemic that is affecting us end?

According to 'ichtion' in 2 years' time. But the virus will remain for a lot longer as some people still refuse to vaccinate.

2-6: Who will be "miss italia 2020"? ...

Why would anyone know that? Even if I was a time traveller I wouldn't carry that kind of weird trivia in my pocket.

Some crononauts (real or fake they are) have stated that time travel will be possible from a certain year...

7: what will this year be?

8: When will the first time travel be?

9: will it be carried out by a human or will they try with animals?

10: When will the discovery of it be?

ichtion was already very revealing with this information in his original thread. He said the time machine was built by his "frond", a politically motivated company that is commonplace in his time. To his best knowledge that was the only time machine they had. He didn't know if other fronds had one. He said they did trials beforehand, first with objects then with small animals. The result of those experiments gave rise to the "box" that he used to communicate with his employer. The time machine in the form used by ichtion was developed in 2075, the year he directly came from.

11: to do it Will you pay? If so, how much higher? (Millions, billions etc)

12: where will it be possible to carry them out? From cern or nasa or from your own home?

I don't know anything about that.

13: Can we travel in any year we want?

Now that's a very good question. He said, and I quote, "It is possible to try going anywhere in time, however the further back one attempts to go, the more uncertainty there is of the outcome". He then went on talking about his "frond's" AI, which basically computed all the probabilities for minimal risk. His travel was not minimal risk, in fact he said there was a non zero chance that he would never be able to return or just die. On the other hand, he was apparently paid an "acceptable sum" for his risk, i.e. from what I understood that was a lot of money for his troubles.

14: if I go back, for example to 2008, can I meet someone who died in 2020 and is therefore no longer here today?

Yes.

15: if I meet him, considering the various paradoxes etc, considering that I am perhaps in a parallel universe ... will he die in the same way and on the same day? Even if he will no longer be found there or will he have another job and another lifestyle?

16: considering that going back in time I would not say anything to anyone to avoid paradoxes etc., but cmq I would try to help as much as possible about the pandemic we are experiencing, are you sure that no one else would?

21: when we start in the past, what happens in the present? For example to your loved ones .. will they see you anymore?

22: do you land in a parallel universe?

Concerning time travel paradoxes, he said that's fine as everything is happening in parallel (parallel worlds). According to him (and he said he doesn't know that much about the machine's functionality as that was company secret), there are an infinity of parallel times/worlds (and an infinity of those are identical to this one - so far), and his central AI helps to calibrate the variables in such a way as to minimize the risk of deviating from being identical as much as possible. However it is not always rthe case and that's why he is paid a lot of money to take the risk.

17: can you leave how and when you want or not?

18: can anyone leave or do you have to work for example in the army or in particular posts?

His employer told him what to do, so I guess that's a "no".

19: when will we start talking about time travel, especially in the past, on the news, TV etc?

His frond keeps all that information secret, so in 2075 nobody except those involved in the frond know of the machine's existence.

20: when and where will the first real time travel tests be carried out?

2069, Karp Frond HQ, Köln, Germany.

23: Can you bring objects such as notebooks or photos with writings?

You can only bring non-metallic items into the machine. On the other hand, there is the "box", as I said some kind of container like a glove box in a car, and you put a written message in it, close it, re-open it and you will see the answer inside already.

24: when you go back in time do you already know what will happen? Do you remember everything or will you relive the life you had in that moment? (We always assume that I go in 2008)

You have the same memories as before you left. This is because "you" remains "you". You can even meet yourself in the past if you want to. But he wasn't yet born in 2020.

25: in 2016 I met my two little dogs who are for me like daughters in all respects. Since I will not be able to take them back and I would not ... it is sure that I will re-meet them if I let go of all the events of my life in the same way (or almost, in the sense that I would only change my studies) than how did they go up to that moment?

That's a complicated question and I think it is more philosophical than scientific. As far as time travel goes, ichtion told me that there were parallel worlds, as I said there are an infinity that are identical to ours (at this time), an infinity that are slightly different, an infinity that are vastly different...
