If JT's predictions came true

Butter Flavoring Lung Injury Lawsuits

A component of artificial butter flavor is the chemical diacetyl. Whether diacetyl is responsible for any injuries has not been determined. In tests at NIOSH, laboratory rats that breathed high concentrations of vapors from butter flavoring, including diacetyl, developed significant airway damage.
In March 2004, a jury in Joplin, Missouri deliberated a little more than three hours before returning a verdict of $20 million against International Flavors and Fragrances, Inc. and its subsidiary, Bush Boake Allen, Inc., for compensatory personal injury damages to a former microwave popcorn worker whose lungs were permanently injured and who is now on a lung transplant list.
In lawsuits by workers at factories using artificial butter flavoring, it has been alleged that exposure to compounds used in the oils and butter flavor mixture has resulted in damage to respiratory systems leading to asthma, bronchiectasis, bronchiolitis obliterans, chronic bronchiolitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, emphysema, and severe lung impairment. The workers charged that butter flavor manufacturers failed to warn of the dangers from using butter flavoring in the production of microwave popcorn and other food products.

Re: If JT\'s predictions came true

MEM,

Ginger was revealed to the public in Dec. 2001. Does anyone have information being released before then?

Yes, the information about "Ginger" was available to the public for many years at the U.S. Patent Office Online prior to 2000. See above. (You have to download the TIFF viewer at http://www.alternatiff.com/ to view images at the Patent Office.)

Patent 6,302,230 was issued to Dean Kamen on 16-OCT-2001 but it was filed and posted on the U.S. Patent Office site on or about 4-JUN-1999.

Kamen actually filed an earlier patent for a three wheeled version back in 1995. That parent, 5,791,425 was issued in 1998.

The three wheeler version used a much earlier patented arrangement for the wheels. If you recall the movie "Damnation Alley" you might remember how the three wheels on their ATV were arranged. The patent for the three wheel arrangement (not the vehicle itself - just the arrangement of the wheels) was issued as Patent 849,270 in 1907.

He even filed for a seated version of the three wheel arrangement. That patent was filed in 1994 and issued in 1997 (Patent 5,701,965)

It was never a secret that Kamen was working on a personal transporter that looked like a conbination of a scooter and a unicycle. He'd been working on and receiving various patents for a motorized unicycle-scooter for several years.

The reason that it was such a "secret" is because people simply didn't go to the Patent Office Online and look up "Kamen, Dean" under the "Inventor" index. The information was there to be found.

Titor didn't actually make a prediction about Ginger. He sent a copy of the patent TIFF image from the Patent Office to Pamela - who shared it with me. We both verified that the document came from the patent office.

Re: If JT\'s predictions came true

Newbie,

You can interpret Titor's predictions anyway you like.

Obviously you are going to try and discredit anything he said, even if he was right about his predictions, and you totally disregard the cryptic messages he left. You are a person that is never going to be convinced...and I am not trying to convince you or anyone else. I just put the information out there.

You do not believe Titor's story, that's okay.

I have done the research and I have come to a much different conclusion.

I believe you are one of the "sheep" Titor was referring to, and that's okay too.

How about we agree that we disagree.
