If JT\'s predictions came true

We have heard of JT's claims and we heard of him being debunked. But that's a long time ago. It's been nearly 3 years now. By the next year, it will be the year that JT will truly be debunked. But then again, what if his predictions came true? What are your views on that?

Re: If JT\'s predictions came true

I have studied this subject intensely...Many of John Titor's predictions have already come true and many more predicted events are in the making. If anyone wants to know if JT's story is real, all they have to do is research the posts he left behind. Direct clues and indirect cryptic clues are given by JT. Those who really want to know need to do their homework and you will find the answers.

Re: If JT\'s predictions came true

NIcknack,

But then again, what if his predictions came true? What are your views on that?

If his predictions were true then...

You're in Singapore. You and about 1.5 billion East and Southeast Asians have only a few years to live as do another 1.5 billion Central Asians, Western Asians, Eastern and Western Europeans and North Americans because by his count 3 billion of us will be turned to ash and/or glass in 7 years or so. The Southern Hemisphere appears, in his story, to survive the initial nuclear war so in the Northern Hemisphere we have about a 75% chance of not surviving.

Cute story, eh?

newbie,

Go Titor? Next time you visit your parents, brothers, sisters, girlfriend (spouse?) look them in the face and tell them "Go Titor!...you're all dead and I love it!"

As I said, cute story, eh?

It's just a story Darby. Why does Titor upset you so much? Because of all the attention he got?

Re: If JT\'s predictions came true

I think a civil war in America is possible, a point of view which has got me flamed on a number of other message boards. I don't think that Titor's claims have to be true for this to happen. The nuclear war scenario I'm a little more doubtful about. Titor has got a number of things right, but not enough (as far as I know, someone posted a list of "predictions" and whether they had come true a while back, but I dont know where it is) to make me believe he is from the future.

Re: If JT\'s predictions came true

I would be interested in hearing your what you think would lead to a civil war in the USA.

Re: If JT\'s predictions came true

Ok I take back the "Go Titor" 1/1 100% sarcasm. In fact Iraq was not a prediction more like political cynicism.

So he tried to predict LHC would discover something during proton experiments but LHC wasn't comming online until 2k7, well after his predicted time frame, and RHIC was the one doing proton experiments. So I guess he's 0/1. 0%. Titor sucks. He could have looked it up on the 'net and said in 2008 LHC will discover something and he didn't even do that...

Im not really sure to be honest, but recently there have been a lot of stories related to civil liberties in America, and it seems to me that there is a little more "unrest", nothing major, but just enough to make think it's possible.

Re: If JT\'s predictions came true

I'm not sure of the relevance but in the last 5 days there have been 4-5 suidice atempts, somthing like 3 of them have been sucessfuf, i'm talking about the GTA btw (greater toronto area) this is really weird, not shure of the relevance though.

Yes, well the same is said of Nostradamus...

If you want to prove your case, be specific:

Which predictions, made when, have come true ?

As for "cryptic clues" this is the sort of blanket statement that covers everything and nothing... anything can be taken to be a "cryptic clue" to any event.....

Re: If JT\'s predictions came true

What are your views on that?

That he can predict the future. Not based off any special ESP power or anything like that. But more to the effect he studies world events and smart enough to convey very good educated guesses. Still doesn't prove the fact he is a time traveler. I will believe that he is a TT when I see it with my own 2 eyes.

Re: If JT\'s predictions came true

if this all were true that would be pretty amazing....but i do doubt it and i hop ethat u all will find a way to create some real theories of your own /ttiforum/images/graemlins/cry.gif

Tomar said, "If you want to prove your case, be specific: Which predictions, made when, have come true?"

First of all, I'm not trying to prove the case for John Titor to anyone. I set out to discover whether or not he was genuine...the results were astounding. He makes some direct predictions and others are cryptic.

Cryptic and Non-cryptic messages:

No Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq, which would be an excuse for a war.
The hidden code in the IBM 5100 verified by Bob Dupke and other engineers.
Dangers of Microwave popcorn...(turns out the artificial butter is deadly)
China and a Manned Space Mission
Earthquake in Peru
The space Shuttle having an accident

Epidemic of Mad Cow
Comments about IT/Ginger/Segway too early as it hadn't been released.

There are more, but that's enough to post...

Re: If JT\'s predictions came true

No Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq, which would be an excuse for a war.

Yea him and 50 million liberals "predicted" that.

The hidden code in the IBM 5100 verified by Bob Dupke and other engineers.

Bob Dubke added the ibm mainframe emulator. Some argue the emulator was not the "secret" function at all because an emulator can not fix old source code. The secret feature would have to be "ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE" and Bob Dubke did not admit to that.

Dangers of Microwave popcorn...(turns out the artificial butter is deadly)

He never warned about Microwave popcorn!! He was refering to non-leathal microwave weapons being used on people.

JT:However, there are a great many “non lethal” weapon systems in development that turn out to be quite lethal. Anyone for microwave popcorn?

China and a Manned Space Mission

He wasn't predicting anything, he was reading newspapers. China worked very hard on that for a very long time.

I believe they are pretty close to putting a man in orbit. It shouldn't surprise you if they do that soon.

Earthquake in Peru

He specifically said he would NOT warn of natural disasters. He made NO such prediction. In fact, He used that as a HYPOTHETICAL example for why YOU should not try to share predictions if YOU went back to 1970:

The space Shuttle having an accident

No, he said he specifically made up that prediction to joke about how useless it was to make predictions. He didn't say accident, he said problems connecting :

JT:I have thought again about how to revel information that would make me more believable but I always come across the following problems:

1. All of you become much less interesting as sheep. I can't talk to you if you're not skeptical.

2. Anything I say could be acted on beforehand and changed anyway.

3. All the really interesting information is months or years away and I'd be gone when it happens.

4. I find it morally wrong to assist someone with anything where they might gain and someone else would lose or die.

5. There's a slim chance your worldline is just different enough my "prediction" won't happen.

6. I simply don't know.

Consider that you are a time traveler who goes back in time to the first week of February 1970 and you are confronted with the same problem. What do you remember right now about the second week of February 1970?

Naturally, the conflict in Vietnam and the Middle East come up but as someone has already stated here, "that's old news". I suppose I could predict the failure of Apollo 13 spacecraft but since time travel is ridiculous, I would be blamed for sabotage. I might even decide to tell you about an earthquake in Peru but then people that would have died by chance will now live and vice versa.

All I can think of is to make something up. So here goes: The space shuttle mission may or may not have a problem connecting the new lab to the space station.

Cryptic message about 9/11 in NY

That came from the faxes sent to Art Bell in 1998 :

You can alter history in the new universe that you have just created. Most of the time the changes are subtle. the oldest one was a sky scraper that don't exist in New York .
Interestingly when you travel in time you must compensate for the orbit of the Earth since the time machine doesn't move you have to adjust the engine so you remain on the planet when you turn it off.

Wireless Internet

His prediction about wireless internet refered to the new infrastucture that we get after Russia nukes the one we currently have. Still have a long time to wait on this one.

Virus being a cure for some types of Cancer

He said there would be advances made, not a cure. And there has been. There have been advances made in this field since the 90's. It's like saying " I predict computers will get much faster". hehe, he tried to say that too didn't he.

Hybrid seeds being dangerous

Hybrid seeds put us 1 step closer to someday feeding the planet, ending world hunger.

Epidemic of Mad Cow

There were outbreaks of Mad Cow in back in 96. Controls and safeguards have gotten better since then no thanks to JT and human cases are not near epidemic proportions.

Comments about IT/Ginger/Segway too early as it hadn't been released.

His only comments about "IT" was that he thought it was a lot of marketing hype. The press was talking about it, and they should have been talking about real issues instead of acting as salespeople for a product that didn't exist yet. He didn't "predict" anything here.

100,000 people dead tomorrow...the results of the Tsunami

He never said anything about the Tsunami. And the death toll was well over 100,000 for the tragedy you are using.

Problems at the 2004 Elections...

He never said there would be problem with the 2004 elections. He said we would see civil unrest and there was none. He said the 2008 president tries not to give up his power. Nothing about 2004.

Re: If JT\'s predictions came true

Titor's best near-term predictions, in my opinion, were these two:

What is the “Ginger” (IT) invention?

Posted by John Titor on 01-29-2001 09:10 PM

It looks like some sort of motorized scooter.

Ginger was revealed to the public in Dec. 2001. Does anyone have information being released before then?

Posted by John Titor on 02-25-2001 08:00 AM

Are you really surprised to find out that Iraq has nukes now or is that just BS to whip everyone up into accepting the next war?

This statement was made only one month after GWB was sworn in, seven months before 9/11, and one year before talk of invading Iraq was made public.

Re: If JT\'s predictions came true

I disagree with all of these:

Dangers of Microwave popcorn...(turns out the artificial butter is deadly)
China and a Manned Space Mission
Earthquake in Peru
The space Shuttle having an accident
Cryptic message about 9/11 in NY
Wireless Internet
Virus being a cure for some types of Cancer
Hybrid seeds being dangerous
Epidemic of Mad Cow
Comments about IT/Ginger/Segway too early as it hadn't been released.
100,000 people dead tomorrow...the results of the Tsunami
Problems at the 2004 Elections...
