yahoo doesn\'t exist in this timeline
hello, i'm a n00b, couldn't see any intro forum where i could wave and introduce myself, so i'm doing it here. tried to register with a @yahoo.com email address and could not for the life of me. it said something about invalid email domain and it finally dawned on me that this must be a worldline (i think that's the titoresque term more widely accepted around here) where yahoo never went beyond the yet another hierarchical officious oracle stage and microsoft is the only web based email provider in the wxrld. so i caved in, i went and got a stupid @hotmail.com addy and finally i'm here. what a trip! far more tedious than a good ole time jump. i deserve a medal for the effort.
ok, then. i am no time traveller but am intrigued by quantum entanglement and the possibility of supraluminal some kind of something going on between particles connected in such ways. i've been dabbling into brian greene's the fabric of the cosmos and stephen hawking's the universe in a nutshell, i'm pretty much clueless otherwise.
quick question: when are the hardcore titor fans going to give up on this entertaining story? when summer olympics 2oo8 finally comes around? when the civil war is nowhere to be found by the time 2oo6 rolls in? just wanted to know how long i have to hang around before the most promising time traveler of our generation is discarded into oblivion...
anyway, nice to be here, i expect i'll be mostly lurking from here on, but one never knows. finally, don't forget to buy that yahoo stock, when i come from, it's a really, really big success story :D
