Why Post on Forums?

I just found this page, and I am very intrigued... Let's suppose there is a real time traveller, then why would he/she even bother to log in here and claim that? If I had the chance to travel through time, I'd have a million other things I would do rather than log on to a forum. Or is it that time traveling is such a common thing, that you can actually come from the future to just post things on the internet? Beyond the reasonable doubt of a time traveller claimer, I am more puzzled in what motivates them to come here to chat.

well, you should consider the "john titor story", he (tells) that he comes from the future in search of something, and had asked a couple of things on this forum, about 16 years ago, from that moment the "claims" has just raised a lot in the boards to justify a creation of a section, to bad none of the claimers actually had passed this first stage. By the way, yes you are quite right, if there are time travelers, of course the percentage of those who know they have to come here to claim their travels is a really low one.

actually this is not more than a nice mind game.

Posting on a forum would be a good way to pass information to yourself and others in the future.  And some people believe you can change the timeline by simply posting information.

A person may get one chance to afford to go back. That person might be a VIP of significant status. Think of the history of time travel and the scientific names that are associated with its contemplation. This might even be the place that written digital communication through time begins.

Thank you for your answers!  Several questions arise. Why is that every time traveller claimer gives elusive and vague answers? Why they don't go back to 1995 and create Google? I think that having the power of time travelling (if there is actually a way of doing it), carries an enormous responsability. You can't be sure of the effects you can do to a certain worldline, so the fact that there are, supposedly, many time travellers among us, sounds more like sci-fi. I like to believe it is possible, and that there are real time travellers, just not the ones that post here, they lack of hard evidence.

I believe I have evidence that some have gone back and contacted authors.  I'm not being crazy, assuming every book has a secret message, but I have studied one in particular -- Alas, Babylon by Pat Frank.

Interesting.... I just went to look up for that book in Barnes and Noble, but in the reviews some people claim that the edition has been edited and that they removed very important passages... I wonder why. Anyway I will look for the original version. What makes you think this book has some clues in it?

I didn't know that!  I'll have to check on which edition I have and look into it. Thanks for letting me know.  I'm very interested to know what was removed.  It makes the book that much more suspicious!

do you mean someone has contacted Pat Frank? what makes you think this (or well, if I don't understand right, who are you talking about and what makes you think so)?
this is intriguing.

Last night I had a strange surprise. I went to bed at 23:06, I know because I check my phone to set the alarm. I sleep in the next room because my wife is sleeping with my 8 month old son, and I snore like hell haha. We also have 2 cats, and they usually are very active at that time. The thing is that I fell asleep (or think I did) and suddenly my wife enters the room and tells me to go to the living room to see what the cats have done. I thought it was around 5:00, completely sure that a long time had passed. The cats had literally killed my favourite plant, and as I lean to pick it up, I saw my watch to confirm it was early morning, and to my surprise it was 12:00 sharp. I looked very amazed and said to my wife "it´s 12:00?????", it was impossible that only 50 minutes had passed. She didn't look surprised at all. I know this doesn´t mean anything, but it really caught my attention, and I wasn´t even high when I went to bed.
