Temporal Novice
A man Travels to the past to prevent the assassination of President Licoln, so he tries to warn everyone, the one man that listens and acts upon it is none other than...... John Wilkes Booth, He alrighty didn't like Lincoln He decided to act upon it so he did.

Another case A man goes back into time he decides to kill Adolf Hitler as an infant. He finds hitler and kills him only a two month old baby the nanny finds him dead got scared and switched him with a nother baby the parents never knew and he grows up to be a monster would things be different if he hadn't done that?

it is not certain whether what you do during your travel to the past has an effect on your own timeline. if it has, which actually does not seem plausable, things get messy. there is another possibility. if one goes to the past, it won't be one's own past. there would be some divergence, which actually relates to the multiple worlds theory. in that case what you do there does not affect your own timeline. you can do whatever you want.
as you see, theories abound.

I remember those particular shows. Gets you to thinking don't they?

A good time traveling scenario author is Michael Moorcock. He has many plots that revolve around multi-universes and time travel.

He gets rather descriptive in some of the stories. In one story line there is a castle constructed from bricks made of blood. If the castle walls gets damaged, they kill off some men, and use their blood to repair the damage. Yikes!

If there is any tampering with the past, the events that occurred still may occur, the scale or outcome may actually be worse. As bad as Hitler was, he had flaws that brought him down. If replaced, it may be by someone that is twice as bad, without those flaws.

What Hitler did could have been much worse, if he had not acted as he did. He did accomplish quite a bit in a short amount of time. Done differently, he may have gained global dominance. And then turned on the people he hated.

How many more troops would he have had if he didnt fill concentration camps ? The developers of the atomic bomb started on his side, so what would have happened had Hitler waited before beginning his attempted genocide?

However, all these horrific events of the past are said and done, better to make changes today, that will improve tomorrow. If you look around the globe today, there is alot of work needing to be done now, not yesterday.

Every story needs a heavy, or else it isn't interesting. After "They all lived happily ever after", what is there left to say?

Also, when you went back in time to kill Hitler, may a couple of big 'Time Cops' would show up to inform you they didn't want you messing around with history because you weren't authorized to do so(?)
