Traveling back into time by viewing the stars

With all the discussions about traveling back in time, I do not think, we will ever transport our physical bodies back. Although, we get a glimpse into the past by looking up into the skies. According to astronomers, "When we look out at space, we are looking back in time. I don't think is enough, it's like say you are traveling to the past every time you see a old photo or go to the future every time you sleep...

If we consider telepathy of fit info is real, & that over time pets & their owners come to look alike, would to take in the night sky we share feelings & ways with others up there who may be a reflection of us, & vise versa, no matter if they don't exist anymore & we be relatively new?

Is it not enough, but forever a good start lol ?
