Titor\'s story tripped up by Internet Archive?

Here's the link to the Z-machine homepage at the Sandia Labs;

Z-Machine Homepage
http://www.prod.sandia.gov/zmachine/

There have been online articles about the Z-machine since 1996 according to the website;

http://www.sandia.gov/media/zpinch.htm

which would be 4 years before John Titors 2000-2001 "visit" where he mentions the Z-machine and at least two years before Titors apparent 1998 faxes to Art Bell.

I also checked at the Internet Archive;

http://web.archive.org/web/19970605013942/http://www.sandia.gov/media/zpinch.htm

and the earliest archived version of the December 2nd,1996 article about the Z-machine was archived on June 5th, 1997.

So it's possible whomever "John Titor" is might have read this article online back in 1996 or 1997 and might have manufactured the whole time travel story.

I still believe time travel might be possible but it's possible that this "John Titor" created an urban legend for his own entertainment and the Internet Archive evidence puts a big credibility dent in "Titors" story.

dperez,

You can also find Z-Pinch articles on psi.physics.fusion going back as far as 1994. On Lanl or ArXiv you can find them going back quite a bit farther.
