Titor and Terrorism... Potential Links?

Since Creedo likes to conjecture so much on how the John Titor Project/Experiment could be real, I'd like to continue to try to balance that by pointing out issues and scenarios where there may be motivations that would drive a hoax.

I'm sure some people have already wondered about such a link, but could the perpetrators of the John Titor Project/Experiment be, in some overt or covert way, tied to Al Qaeda? I mean let's be real: The "centerpiece" of the entire Titor Project is the prediction of a US Civil War and overthrow of the US government. Isn't that perfectly in line with Al Qaeda objectives? From the election results in Spain, it would appear that Al Qaeda may have successfully influenced public sentiment in that country... and we know they have captured Al Qaeda operatives in that country after 9/11.

And now let me point out a related issue that exhibits Al Qaeda (and like organizations) technical savvy for using the internet to reach people and accomplish objectives. No doubt, just about everyone here has received one of the MANY spam EMAIL's with the format being: "Hello, I am Nbonge Setutu from the Central African Republic. I am in charge of dispersing a large amount of money due to the untimely death of..." These are obvious attempts to connect with people that will help them launder money through US banks, as well as positioning such funds in the US to support terrorist operations. Does anyone think these are anything other than money laundering attempts?

My point here is to get people thinking deeply about Titor's predicted US civil war. As the obvious centerpiece of this hoax, can we understand and make the potential connection to a wish by Al Qaeda to create a deep division in American society? And if we can understand this connection, we should all be aware of this strategy. The more we fret, worry, or deeply contemplate the Titor story (as if it may, indeed, come to pass), the more we could potentially create this version of the future, and that would be playing right into the terrorists hands!

Think about it...

It has been human nature to try to divine the future. To know, with certainty, OR what I would call self-determining certainly, what our future holds for us and how we should prepare.

Scenarios of Apocalypse, Uptopia, World War 111, Evolutional Passage, technological quagmire of immorality, technological empire of justice and well being, etc. etc. etc.

We hunger for such follies. The concreteness of foreknowledge. The "specialness" of being among the few that KNOW our future fate.

Each time I am introduced to the propagandic sociology of such belief systems, I think to myslef, there is something important to learn from this. But, and I say but, listening to the soothsayer does not mean I have to accept any precepts that he has presented. Instead, I look at it as testing the tempearture of our society, checking it's healthy/non-healthy state.

That said.

I feel it is critical to monitor such events, because our history has shown over and again, that such strong, emotionally tied rhetoric can sometimes manifest itself as nothing less that evil.

In point, Nazi Germany.

I think, "Do I want to be someone who ignores what is going on under my nose to save my own hide? Could I live with myself? What must I do to see that the truth be known? How far am I willing to stare down the eyes of evil?

Neh... an operation like that would take too much time and it's not likely to happen. If there was any conspiracy going on, I'd say the US government was behind this.
