Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway, another golden voice, at their very best!?/

Timeslip, music

In two sets of music, there are peculiar timesips.

The fist one, is in the song sung by Marvin Gay, what's goin on.

What Gay does in the very first part of the song, is establish a unity, where right away, there is a meeting and a musical joining.

He does this with extremely good music, in the accompanying of saxophones, to the background, of the questions asked, "Hey brother, hey man, what's happening, what's going on"Then Marvin Gay starts in softy with, Brother brother,.

How they did this and this is kindof an afro thing, is simply to play the best music that one can possibly listen to, but to blend in that musics, with a social set, of people talking.

This song was a hit, primarily because this song had galvanized an ethnic group, but did so in a way, that was nonviolent.

The second set, is find one hundred ways, as sung by singer, James Ingram.

What Ingram does and this is with an exceedingly accurate and penetrating voice, is to centigrade the song, with values which arrive at an early falsetto, but how he does this, is with the Aladdin cue, which only came out, in the Disney Productions recording, A Whole New World.

Both Pebo Bryson and James Ingram share startlingly remarkable same traits, with both having very powerful, but delicately poised to action voice traits.

In Yamo Be There, which is performed by James Ingram and The Doobie Brothers, Ingram appears in the song, with a highly but crunic voice, which sets the mood for the song.

This piece formetioned here, is almost a religious piece, as contrasted to A Whole New World, as Bryson speaks sings, the frazes, (much better with his female songstress accompaniment, with adds absolute synchronicity, to the balance of the song ballad.

There is an odd affiliation between Marvin Gay, Pebo Bryson and James Ingram, due to the fact that they have all similar voice traits, however are separated by many years in their performances.

This is a timeslip, or a carrying on of traits sung vocally from one generation of muci to the next.

See balance of song deliveries, as put forward by Donny Hathaway and Roberta Flack in their rendition, Looking Like Love To me....?

Welcome to the Planet

"Welcome to existence.
Everybody's here
Everybody's here
Everybody's watching you now
Everbody wants for you now
What happens next?
What happens next?

I dare you to move."

Switchfoot, 2004, I Dare You to Move, CD: "The Beautiful Letdown"

I think it is pretty much obvious that the human form was designed for the purpose of conscious existence & experience by beings of the spiritual realm. Our existence is a gift to our spirits, and we learn this through our love of music, food, vistas, magical smells, and sensual touch.

A higher state of evolution is our birthright, and the promise of future science. If you would like for your conscious self to live forever, I think it will be within our sphere of choices not too far in the future. Call it conformal mapping across multiple human lifetimes.

She was about five foot three, long blond hair.

Her face was mild oval, eyes blue.

Delicate features and defiantly Nordic of some vintage.

I had recognized her, from a very long time ago.

Creedo replies that this set of lyrics, is first of all, paranoid.

Secondly, imposes obsessive compulsiveness on the subject of the song lyrics.

Natural evolution points to a releasing of ethnic influences, to do as they want or where they will go.

If you were to hear the beauty of the melody, harmony, and vocal of this song, there is litle doubt you would change this assessment. It is a very positive song, nothing like the negative overtones you seem to paint.

Would you like me to send you the CD, Dan? As positive as their music is I think it would be hard for anyone to say it is paranoid!

Re: Welcome to the Planet

Yes I'll P.M. you.

However' I don't understand the projected evolution, is to be much different than what I'm use to.

Re: Welcome to the Planet

Note on this thread in musical evolution.

The Jazz Crusaders, in the 1970s developed a method in electronic painoand synthesizer, that pushed both the jazz and popular music frontier forward.

I forget the name of the recording, however it went popular and was electronic by nature and had advanced both popular and jazz a measure forward.

The O.J.s got ahold of this technology and produced the recording, Love Train which used a run, then stop break beat, in musical repertoires.

It seemed that both Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway, as well as the O.J.s coexisted, in the specialized use of run, then stop break action, with reference to both of their popular recordings? This was in a relative time shared by both of these two performing groups.

Hathaway and Flack quit producing togeather, however the O.J.s went onto perform their smash hit, Love Train on Dick Clarke's Rocking New Years Eve, which was by all standards, an astounding effort in showmanship.

Electronic pianos, very skillfully used for a while, in the 70s, 80s, 90s, performances in rhythm & blues, as well as New Age soul jazz, set both use and vistas, not commonly seen in performances before.

There is a certain quality set in some Afro American performers, which is noted by tonal change, it seems only secular to them, as far as the ability to both convey the intent of the song, as well as the ability to perform the piece?

Re: Welcome to the Planet

Note in this thread, which seems to be off-topic as well.

I had agreed with a past poster by the name of Clara, which had posted a chance photo of a field were she had managed to obtain aether smoke outlines of a number of woodland aether creatures.

I have always believed in them and them being there.

Her photos posted here at TTI, may be here?

I did something dumb once. I became drunk, due to peer pressure and fell asleep in a heavily wooded area.

Even though I was drunk, I felt that there was something in the woods that night, that was taking care of me.

It may have been fairies and or other little wooded creatures, which came to my aid and protected me.

I have natural witche's blood in me, which at times draws me very close to nature.

When someone here at TTI says the word Troll, I say "yay, but there is also the troll in the field, who without, a diamond can not be made".

It's important not to pave over everything, so that both humans and nature don't end up with nothing.

Re: Welcome to the Planet

" I like big butts and I can not lie.
Yo other brothers can't deny.
when a girl walks up with an itty bitty waist and a big butt in your face you get SPRUNG!
Baby got it going on"

the original lyric was "I wanna travel back" not "baby got back" but sir mix a lot figured it was a little too scientific and in depth for the consumers of his record to comprehend thus he changed the title and the direction of the song. while he was talking about giant crap canyons in this tune, he was thinking time travel.

Talk about a lyrical genius. that guy was way ahead of his TIME with that verse /ttiforum/images/graemlins/yum.gif

Re: Welcome to the Planet

"He said I've been to the year 3000,
Not much has changed but they live underwater,
And your great, great, great granddaughter,
Is pretty fine,

He took me to the future in the flux thing and I saw everything,
Boybands and another one, and another one, and another one,
Triple breasted women swim around town, totally naked,

We drove round in a time machine,
Like the one in the film I've seen,
Yeah, yeah,

He said I've been to the year 3000,
Not much has changed but they live underwater,
And your great, great, great granddaughter,
Is pretty fine"

Often imitated, never surpassed.
