I read a comment in a journal of physics that described the possible construction of a time travelling device. It consisted of two metal plates spread apart from each other. An powerful charge of energy was to be channelled into each plate causing a flux in space and time.
Apparently with the idea of creating a donut shaped black hole.
The article was published in the Physical Review Letters, Volume 61, Page 1446.
Has anyone actually read this paper, or have a copy available. I tried to access it, but the site requests that one becomes a subscriber. It would be interesting to read this paper since the article in the journal I was reading did not describe the machine in depth.
It seems as though it would be appropriate to our research. A comment was made that even if one was successful in constructing a time machine, you could not travel back in time beyond the manufacture of the machine. Anyone hear of this limitation before?
