It always comes down to this, doesn't it? But for "my" claim of TT, isn't it obvious since everyone else is also a TT'er?

MY future (the one I am actively using my intention to create) is one of evolution, not devolution (We are DEVO!). It is a future of progress, advancement, and yes, even enlightenment (for some). The reason alleged TTers always talk about the US (and always in the negative, as if we are doomed) is because we are currently the "Microsoft" of governments in the world. People always talk about (and bash) Microsoft and predict their eventual doom, but few people talk about Sun, or Oracle, or Peoplesoft, etc. Same principle (IMO).

Well, I think you "got" me, at least as a TT'er the way people romanticize it. But if you've read enough of my replies, you may also see why I think it is important to debunk the hoaxers who constantly tell us we are in for a "bad" future. WE control our future, and I don't feel like giving it up to negativity (ever).

Well, we all travel through time at the same nominal rate. But my question here was whether there is anyone here who claims to be from some other time- not the present 2006.
According to u the alleged TTers always talk abt the US is because the US is currently the "Microsoft" of governments in the world but dont u think other governments r equally important and together result in whatever is going to happen in the future. I guess there r so many superpowers out there just waiting to gain control of one another. So why not talk abt all of them too and their roles in the predicted WWIII
BTW what do u think of Dave/Chrono and his claims of being a TTler.

Dave IS a timetraveller, thats for sure.

Just the other day he sent me a PM telling me how the lizarans kidnapped that annoying school kid from 2522 that used to post here.

Dave/Chrono had to man an...erm... well, one man crusade, into the beating heart of the lizaran War machine. After much violence and bloodshed (and defeating the Lizaran warlord, with an awesome roundhouse kick to the head) he then returned 'brick Jr' without harm!! Not bad for an old man, eh?

Oh yes, I forgot to mention....chrono is now 326 and President of the entire SOL system.

*He is still however, The worst, most uninformed Historian in the universe though.

Yes, I know. I guess I was a bit shocked that you even had to ask that question, as there are all too many people posting to this forum who are indeed claiming this as truth. I guess I facetiously treated your question as if it was similar to walking into a forest and asking "Are there any trees around here?" /ttiforum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Certainly I agree with what you are saying here. Personally I don't think the US is the "only important" country in the world. It was just that you asked a question as to why OTHER people show up here and only talk about the US. I was doing my best to answer why I think that is so, but not saying that it is "right" to be preoccupied with the US over other countries.

Good question. I have my theories of why people only focus on the US, and only on the "gloom and doom" story for the US future. But as you say, it is also important to look at the way other countries see the future. However, against all of this I do not think it is particularly productive to pretend that someone from our alleged future can "tell us" how things are going to transpire. We are in control of what we create, are we not?

Oh, could there be any doubt about his status? You only need consider the impeccableness of his evidence to determine whether Dave/Chrono is authentic. I wasn't very impressed by the original Chrono, but ever since he came back as this guy Dave, well.... I am convinced. Who could possibly deny it?

My question was:
re:Is there anyone who claims to be a TTer and is present here today as on 19th May 2006 ?

By the above I meant any TTer online on the said date and at the time I was online then. Actually I had meant to ask anyone who claimed to be a TTer online then (on the said date and time) so that I could have a tete-a-tete with them.
