I need to go back to 2006. If someone could help me I'd really appreciate it. I'm willing to compensate if necessary.Please Message me ASAP if you can help.

unluckily no time travel machines are available at this time.

the best bet you can chose, is to accept what happens in 2006 and start from there.

 
I mean that no time machines exist at this very moment, or at least anything that is usable to go back in time, you asked to go back in 2006, I suppose to go there to change something that happen during that year, but unfortunately, this is not possible.

I don't know the reason you asked to go in 2006, but if anything happens in that year, it can not be reached. and no time in the past is reachable at this time. Sorry.

actually there isn't any true recognized time travel, there are some claims, but nothing has been never recognized as true. there are some posts from 2006, because someone posted them in 2006, and that's quite normal, since this site is online since 2000 and even before.

what is the purpose of your travel, if I can ask?

 
You wouldn't understand if I told you the details but I need to get a message to my younger self.

If time travel were possible at this exact moment... who would take you?  You're emotional, you are uncertain, you're unpredictable. There are so many factors that would make someone "if possible"  not want to take a hitchhiker into '06. Not to mention you could create a entire new universe depending on what you told your younger self.  Not only screwing you but your ride. i'll explain. 

If you told yourself something that would alter the course of your destiny ( I use destiny loosely ) and the things you experienced in your life... They would have no affect on you. They would however have an effect on THAT version of you.   Because you told him whatever it is you told him  that split realities ... you now made a fissure in space time. There are now two realities ...  There is ours (the version we traveled from) ... and then there is the one where you told your younger self something.  (this new you)  

So telling yourself whatever you want to tell yourself... would have no effect on you.. You would not experience any of the benefits ... The clone of you would, but not you.  Now you could wait around for 10 years  kill yourself  (your clone)  and assimilate his life ...  reap the benefits that way. However explaining how you aged an additional 10 years would be hard. Not to mention murdering yourself would probably send you into mental break down. 

I dunno you really haven't thought this through ...   peorthyr is right, sometimes letting things go and learning from them is the best thing we can do. 

 
 If I could assimilate the benefits after I died that's fine but I'd never murder myself. Aging 10 years wouldn't bother me. I wouldn't do anything to significantly alter history. If someone were willing to help me I would explain what I wanted to say.

oooh come on... are we discussing the story of the film "the one"?

by the way, time travel is actually NOT POSSIBLE. stop. want to travel to 2006? your best bet is to invest billions of dollars into a research center and hope.

 
Do you believe in the mutiple worldline theory? The message would go to you in another timeline, not this one, but it's just a theory and I am a believer that advanced technology in the distant future will be able map out and choose timelines using math, computers, and whatever time travel device they have.

Now that you typed your request to get this message , it should stand there until the future. If sending a message back to the past is developed , and future you can afford it , the message should get to past you. Whether the past you will act on the advice or ignore the advice is unknown. I believe that the past travels faster than the speed of present time and catches up to the present. This belief is based on Hubble astrophotograph Arts. Light from the past is rendered to an image interpreted and colorized.

 
realism is not skepticism. I strongly believe that we will understand time and space in a very precise manner somehow in the future, but asking for a time machine to deliver a message to yourself in 2006, it's another matter.

I believe we are not alone in the universe, but I strongly believe we will hardly meet another intelligence in the next 1000 years. I believe in some sort of energy you should called soul, but I'm doubtful a pray could do anything to it. Time travel as you talk, is the one from the movies, real time travel is a matter of sending information in no time.

I would not give up that easily, and I also think time travel is possible with our current technology.May I ask why you want to leave?
