It might be thoughtful to point out that it might be not that educative to visit a point in the past in your personal life, which of course is the main interest in a discussion of this sort. At any time in the past, you were exactly in the same mental condition as you are now. So what purpose would it serve? All the people around you then were in the same condition as the people you find around you now, and those who will be around you in years from now.

Care to elaborate on how you come to this bold conclusion? I, for one, am quite aware that I have changed mental conditions several times over the course of my life. In fact, many psychologists say that approximately every 7-10 years your personality has changed quite a bit... that is if you are in that hard-to-pin-down group we call "normal".

So why do you think you would be (mentally) "exactly the same" in the past as you are now? I would think our friend Kanigo2 would also argue this, as I would bet his mental condition has changed quite a bit in the last several months (good to see you back, Kanigo2!)

Perhaps it's in the interaction with the social environment. People of the past appear radically different in outward appearance, though they are exactly the same as us. I'd venture to say that the change you talk of is internal. The reaction of people to outward circumstance is the same as it has always been. Your perception of external events is conditioned by the experiences you have gone through. The impersonal perceiver within is the same as always. The physical organ of the brain is conditioned to put a personal slant on experience by virtue of the experiences undergone.

Anyhow, people are the same all over, nevermind if they're from here or if they're Invaders from the Martian Galaxy.

I disagree. I believe it is part "nature" and part "nurture". I think your statement speaks to the "nature" part. But I believe how you are raised also plays a big part.

'Longevity has its part.' - Dr. King.
At present, there's no earthly way of knowing if the hypothetical invaders from the Martian galaxy have the longevity to traverse the vasty spaces of the deep void to prove or disprove your assertions. We can only surmise.
When you post something here, it takes you an hour to find the thread again. Life's too short, temporally speaking.

I think mental conditions do change. People change. If I am correct a person's brain stops developing at 15 or 16 years of age. After that it is about maturing the mental state. Peoples brains reach their peak mental performance somewhere in their 30's then it goes down after that though I seen some pretty smart old people but in general this is correct. Now, as people get older if you could look at a persons brain it gets more ridges, convoluation I think. A childs brain is a lot smoother than an adults brain. A adults brain is smoother than a really advance in age older person. Say like 90 to 100 years old. I will let others speak for myself on my behavior since I have been here so my own perception of myself won,t cloud the issue. People are plyable not static. I am taking my meds(coffee) this morning. Time for that second cup. Everyone have a good day.

As far as I know, the skeletal structure is complete in its development at around eighteen years of age. The brain completes its development at around twenty four years of age.

Informative piece. Have you heard anything about organic silica? It's supposed to be the deal that you are born with a quota which diminishes. Ordinary silica intake doesn't replenish it and it's supposed to be a factor in what you describe.

'It has been said' the previous poster asserted in reply. No, it has not 'been said', it is proven by scientific examination over decades that the skeletal structure is completed at eighteen years of age, and brain development is completed by twenty four to twenty five years of age.
