Time travel Without light

If light never existed and we could live without it then how does the speed of light come into an equation of time travel? what happens if we took light totaly out of the equation? could we still travel through time?

time would surely still exist, for at least the existince of life it self.

without light, or at least the majority of it life cannot exsist forever but it can still exist for some time without it at least for a few years......

Sure, a person could survive without light for a few years or more (like in a box), but if there was suddenly no light anywhere (which is not very likely) then dont you think everything would suddenly die at that moment? if the sun and all its light suddenly ceased to exist...life would as well.
