I want to start a time travel study group. This is NOT for skeptics, but for those who believe time travel is possible. The purpose of the group will be to try to build a time travel device using schematics from a number of individuals. I'm based in California, so the group will hopefully be geared to those of us in this state, although individuals from all over the country and worldwide are also encouraged to join.

There were a few time travel groups on Yahoo as far as I can remember. I'm not on Yahoo though, I'm just remembering stuff I heard about on various occasions.
I think at least, there's an HDR group discussing Gibbs' devices, as well as another group about the Flux Capacitor. You may want to check them out and perhaps invite a few members over there to join your group I guess.

Then by definition it is not a study group of any kind. A study group has to be prepared to ultimately conclude that the theory they are pursuing is falsified. If not, it is just a social media group.Of course I'm a skeptic. But I can be convinced. In the mean time I am aware of the state of the science and the current state is that while there are solutions to General Relativity that allow time travel (to the past) the conditions required to accomplish the task do not appear to exist in this universe.
The phrase "do not appear to exist" clarifies both the skeptic and the can be convinced positions.
If the group ends up being about discussing the HDR and Flux Capacitor as viable time travel options you might as well add larks' vomit and grape gravy into the mix. They're both just as effective as time travel devices and are more likely to get a Monty Python discussion group started.
