I really like the idea of time travel and i have really personally debated it.
1) time is not real - man created time to organized himself according to the sky and the season.
2) How could you go back in time if what seems to be time was just a memory of the created time man made? /ttiforum/images/graemlins/confused.gif
3)If time travel is possiable it can not be by 1 single machine there has to be a master machine.
Think about it if time travel is possiable the only way it seems to be possiable in my theory would be a machine like a computer that can edit video. A massive machine would be needed to record the universe therefor allowing people to "rewind" or "fastfoward". Kind of like a computer when it has a problem on windows xp you can go back to that certain time and date before it messed up.
4) if something in history changed how would we know if it changed or not since we already learned it and if it changes we learn it without learning it.
Example 9-11 if was stoped lets say tomorrow by a time traveler how would we know it was changed if it was stoped and never happen did we ever send a time traveler to stop it or was it some one in the goverment with high intell ?

The john titor story seems to be hollywood like back to the future. A CAR ... for 2 ibm computers. to change the code in 2038. Maybe hes not time traveler but gets his info from else where.
The creator of the calander i think the maya dont quote me have made time only a few milliseconds off. They said the world would "end 2012 december 23rd" astronomically though.
I don't know explain some math to me plesase i would love to learn more about instine.
