time travel....in your dreams??

i cant stop dreaming about time travel, literally every night!! its driving me crazy!

last night i dreamt i even built a time machine, i can see it as clear as day you stood in a white capsule thing and just typed in the date! i sent this little 10 year old boy into the future 20years, when he got there, it took him about 10seconds, but real time had past 20years, and everyone thought he went missing! but he was still 10 years old but in his 30 year old body!

then i had to get him back!

i often dream that i myself go back in time and see myself as a kid and i tell myself things, or i go to the future! this is like every other night!

driving me nuts!

I spent about year dreaming about time travel back around 1997-1998. At times is was scary.

You're comment about sending a 10 yr old in to the future where he was still 10 , but in 30 yr old body is interesting. It suggests that I could go back into the past, say my high school years, retain my current state of mind, yet have my 18 yr old body.

I'll tell you what, besides buying a few choice stocks, I'd be tap'n all the ho's in my class.

yes i thought it was odd to, everyone was really shocked to see him, i can see it all so clearly, his family and his sister was having a baby, and she was talkign to him, in his present 30year old form but he was still a 10 year old boy, it only took us seconds to get there, yet all of the years has past in normal time.
he lived high up in the woods/mountains, and people found out about the time machine and i was like 'quick i have to get you back or they will destroy it.........' when we found it again (i had hidden it) there were 2 policemen steaking out the woods &amp; we jumped in &amp; just about got away, but i got him back, and no one was none the wiser when we got back!

was a good dream, i also sent someone else back in time to help them get famous!!! they took photos of themsleves hanging over a hotel, faced the camera to the hotel glass and took pics of themselves, we then went forward to see the newspapers and the pics were all over them! and i had moved them from england to new york!

it was all very odd, but such a real dream!

I had a dream last summer that I went back to around 1986 or so. The dream felt so real, it was like I actually went back in time. The dream was so interesting to me, I started looking up info on the net about time travel.

In my dream, my brother found a way to travel back in time. He made or modified some strange looking device that was no bigger than a old style TV. For the device to work a person that wanted to travel in time must have these two rod type items on their person while the device was "turned on" The device worked very similar to spinning a record backwards while on its turntable.

When I went back in time, I never felt it. It happened in a blink of an eye.

First think I remember about the dream was watching a MLB basball game on TV, then going to the local mall that no longer exists, and then going to my old middle school.

I never had a time travel dream before or after this one. /ttiforum/images/graemlins/cry.gif
 
Ever considered our dreams might be able to tell us the future? You never know - Your dream could be predicting the development of time travel. Which would also explain how it might be able to predict in the first place. Haha! Paradox.

I'm keeping note of my dreams now. All too often they have a referrence point or a relation with what happens later on. The problem is, I can't really tell when - the dreams only give the situation that occurs. And for a large part, I can only recongise it on the day it occurs, although in some insistances it's clearly a prediction. For example (of something that has yet to occur, but is highly likely) a Mod I've stopped working was shown in a dream being played by more than 8 people - Why is this a prediction? Well, I only two people know of it, and of course, I've stopped working on it. Except, now a friend is trying to get it back up and running and trying to get it so other people will play it. He doesn't know of the prediction because I never told him (you can't interfere with the source of the prediction, or else you change it so the prediction becomes untrue).
 
I had a reoccurring dream a while back in it I was told how to build a "device" that did something with magnetic fields but I never found out what it did just how to build it. Now in my dream it was big like the size of the Stargate in the TV show but longer and more complex like a super-collider. The weird thing is that this is one of only three dreams that I think about often. I am actually thinking about building a scale model but I down know it is pretty complex and will take a lot of copper wire.
 
Best way to figure out the details for a device is to try and recall what functions it has (both explict and implict), what shape it's got (best done as a sketch) then try to, the best of your knowledge, design the internal compotents that both perform the function and fit the shape.

I've managed to construct a blueprint (which is slightly incomplete) on a robot that can navigate it's own pathway to reach a target area (or person) from a dream. From my understanding of the software side, it's actually fairly simple.

(stupid sporadic internet connection).
 
I don't have any idea as to what it might do if anything but I am sorta worried about it being a third space type device. (Thats a reference to Babylon 5)

about dreams and blacked out faces in dreams, this also has something to do with not being able to interact with other people in your dreams. There are dreams where eveybody is visible, you are able to interact with these people and to some extent hold conversations with them. Then there are dreams whereby faces are blacked out and other faces in your dreams are not people that you know.

There are some very interesting theories behind this, the blacked out faces relates to the post I placed on the time travel discussion board whereby you are unable to interact with people who you know to be alive. Call it time travel, call it some sort of astral projection but you can't talk or interact with that person. You know them to be alive so your psychic is blocking them out. They won't even interact with you.

The faces in your dreams you don't recognise or places you don't know, will be shown to you, well it could be said that you are able to possibly change their course or destiny, whichever you wish to call it. You could therefore, be travelling be it in time or to another place at the same time.

Makes for interesting thinking. Ever met someone or visited a place knowing who they are or where that place is, common term of deja vu, but what if you did actually meet them or you were there, then theorectically you are travelling through time or parallelling yourself to meet them.

Think outside the box. Just suppose that this guy really does have a time machine. Ten million dollars puts it out of reach for just about all of us. So maybe it's a trap. A trap to round up all those that would want to suppress this technology. Once the opposition is eliminated, then the info becomes freely available. Afterall, the inventor of a time machine has a lot of aces in the hole.
 
Imagine time as a funnel.
But not universe as a funnel.
If two twins, one flew to a star far away in space ship and the other one were to stay in earth,
Theoretically When the twin got back it would seem that possibley one year had passed (dpeneding on how far they went out) but on Earth ten had passed. So now the two Twins where different ages,
which means that the one that flew through in space went to the close future.

Just think that the twin that flew out went to the smallest end of a funnel. Time was short there.
So Earth ,is at the Largest end of the funnel. It is possible that the time funnel starts at where you are. As tim may seem to move differentley for every person. So it may be possibly to time travel. Possibly even build a machine that speeds up time and instantly teleports you across the universe and back, practicly sending u 2 the future.
