What happen to this news story (published in 2008)?

RUSSIAN boffins could be one step closer to creating a time machine.

Two scientists claim the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) - a giant atom-smashing machine - could open the door to unexpected visitors from the future.

The machine, due to come on stream this year, has been constructed at CERN, the European particle physics centre near Geneva.

And the scientists' calculations show it is possible the machine will tear a hole in the fabric of space and time, creating a gateway to tomorrow.

That means, with sufficiently advanced technology, people from the future might even be able to walk through it.

Can anyone recall when was the John Titor (no matter real or fake) talked about "CERN" or "LHC" in the past?

According to Titor, Cern should have been online and discovering the magic TT bullet well before now in 2009. By now, in Titor's universe, the Olympics were gone and we should be well immersed in "Weekly Waco incidents" and in the middle of a US Civil War.

YouTube video animation explaining the Black Hole generator LHC.

LHC stands for Large Hadron Collider. It will be the largest and most powerful particle accelerator ever built.

The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is a particle accelerator which is being built at CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, the world's largest particle physics laboratory.

Researchers condense entire image into single photon

A team of researchers has managed to find a way to store a large amount of data in a single photon of light. Although the first stored item -- an image of the characters "UR" -- implies that the inventor was a 13 year old girl dealing with an extremely low text messaging limit, the image was in fact intended to signify the institution which developed the technology, the University of Rochester (either that or it's the shortest example of the "UR IN MY ... " meme that we've seen in the while.) Apparently the system works because "instead of storing ones and zeros" (a la binary code), the team has figured out how to store an entire image in a single photon, which sounds sort of impossible to us.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Note: If photons can travel fast enough to time travel. And here you got the technology to store images (data packets) in photons......

Anyone sees what technology we got here?

Looking at the other forum who claim they are sending data from the future...
